Land Bridge Theory
Ice Age caused Ocean levels to drop.
Herds of animals moved across land bridge.
Hunter Gathers followed herds as they traveled to hunt them.
People began to spread out across North America
How did people get here?
1.Paleo Indians: use the land bridge to travel
2.Archaic Indians: seasonal travel & discover the territory
3.Woodland Indians: villages begin and people settle down in smaller areas
4.Mississippi Indians: tribes begin and regional differences develop. Lots of evidence is left in order to study these people.
