IATA PCR CHAPTER 17 REQUIREMENTS:q The IATA Time and Temperature Sensitive Label must be applied on airfreight
shipments containing time and temperature sensitive healthcare productsq The external temperature range in which the product must be transported
must be shown in the designated area (temperature range must be shown in Celcius)
q Unless otherwise specified in a contractual agreement, it is the responsibility of the shipper to apply the Time and Temperature Sensitive Label for healthcare products
q Label is mandatory worldwide since July 1st, 2012
SOLUTION:q DB Schenker has developed an IT solution integrating the IATA chapter 17
label into the DB Schenker air freight barcode which is recognized by IATAq DB Schenker also offers its customers a manual procedure in which DB
Schenker employees place the time and temperature sensitive label on airfreight
DB Schenker Logistics was the first air freight services provider meeting all requirements of the International Air
Transport Association (IATA) for shipping time and temperature-sensitive medical
