REACH Respite Program REACH Respite Program
In cooperation with other area churches and community
organizations, AUMC has launched the REACH
Community Respite Program (Refresh, Encourage,
Activities, Care, Hope). For REACH Participants:
REACH is now being offered every Tuesday for the remainder of the
year from 10:00am – 2:00pm* with lunch provided.
The cost for each Respite Day is $30/day and includes art, mental and
physical exercise and interaction with other participants and volunteers.
This ministry is for persons with early to moderate memory issues.
Participants must be able to interact socially and attend to their own
bathroom needs.
Those interested in participating must apply through Auburn United
Methodist Church. Applications are now available.
*REACH will not meet the week of Christmas (December 27)

continuous prayer vigil each Sunday morning from 8:00am until 12:00pm.

11:00 AM Festival Worship of Lessons and Carols
With full orchestra and choir, this traditional service of
scripture and carols will be a meaningful Advent worship
service.
6:30 PM Festival Christmas Concert The choir and orchestra return for a dazzling choral pops
concert of Christmas favorites. A love offering will be
received. Doors will open at 5:30pm.

entitled “Christmas Memories with Walter.”

AUMC Methodist Men’s Christmas Dinner
Let’s Get Active
The low-impact exercise group meets on Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 8:30am in the Annex/Round Room. This class lasts
about 45 minutes and is good for toning the body. We go to
Burger King for a snack and some social time afterward.
Yoga for Wimps
Class meets on Wednesdays at 8:30am in the Annex/Round
Room.
EASE House Christmas Dinner
Wednesday, December 14 at 11:00am. If you could make a dish
for this event it would be greatly appreciated by the Seniors who
live at the EASE House. Please contact Winsley Bates at 826-8800
if this is something that you have interest in.
On the Road Again
We are planning both Day and Extended trips for 2017. If you
haven’t filled out the travel survey and would like to have some
input into planning for next years trips, please contact Winsley
Bates at 826-8800.

College Ministry
All weekly events have ceased for Christmas break. The College Room
will be open 24/7 during Finals Week (for both studying and hanging
out!).

Christmas Kindermusik
Bring your children for Christmas musical fun, a story and homemade
Christmas cookies! Classes each week will be a different theme. Each class
costs $10.
Classes will meet on November 30, December 1, 4, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at
10:00am.

membership from Greensboro First UMC in

and Celeste is a dietician in Columbus. They both
