Shrove Tuesday

“Where Caring Is Our Guiding Principle”

It has been well said that “an opinion is something that you

hold, but a conviction is something that holds you.”

We all have opinions. Most of us have very few convictions,

but the ones we do have are important to us. Convictions are

the compasses of life – that keep us moving in the right

direction. The foundation of stones that help us stand firm

when everything around us is shaking and changing.

Healthcare is constantly changing – technology, practices,

policies and procedures, regulations – but what remains

constant at Sterling is our conviction and commitment to the

quality of care we provide.

This year, Sterling Village is moving in a new direction under

new leadership. We are adding new clinical programs to

advance our quality of care, hiring new staff to compliment

our existing team of professionals, and implementing new

programs to enhance our corporate culture. Programs that

recognize our team’s effort to provide only the best for our

residents.

Every step we take is leading us in the right direction. A

journey toward continued excellence in continuity of care in a

supportive and positive environment. That is our conviction.

Respectfully, Kimberly Archambault Executive Director

The Chiefs' defense will get its moment in the spotlight when Kansas City battles the San Francisco

49ers in the 2020 Super Bowl. Kansas City's vaunted offense is led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes,

but Chiefs end Frank Clark and the defense are ready to make a statement. The unit allowed just 19.3

points per game during the regular season and was eighth in the league against the pass. The Chiefs

have buckled down in the 2020 NFL Playoffs, allowing just 179 rushing yards over two games.

Sunday's kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET. Kansas City is a 1.5-point favorite in the latest 49ers vs. Chiefs

odds after the 2020 Super Bowl spread opened at one, while the over-under stands at 54.5.

The starting lineup is set, the water bowls are filled and the puppies are getting ready to play. That can

only mean one thing, it's time for the Puppy Bowl!

This year, 96 adoptable puppies from 61 animal shelters and rescue organizations around the country

make up the rosters of Team Ruff and Team Fluff.

Puppy Bowl XVI will also feature five special needs players including Ferris, a three-legged Labrador

Retriever mix; two hearing impaired pups, a blind and hearing impaired puppy and one with a cleft

palate. Animal Planet promises this year's edition will include fan favorite elements like the water bowl

cam, the puppy kiss cam and slow motion replays.

This year's roster is the biggest in Puppy Bowl history and features more international puppies than

ever before, according to Animal Planet.

THINKING OF CELEBRATING MARDI

GRAS IN NEW ORLEANS THIS YEAR? New Orleans is the place to be on Mardi Gras, which falls this year on Feb. 25 this year. If you’re traveling to New

Orleans this weekend to experience Mardi Gras, expect to spend $2,900 per person for a flight, hotel, food, transportation and entertainment over the course of five days. If you’re looking to splurge—luxury hotel, riding in a float, krewe parties—you can easily tack on an additional $5,300.
