Organized in 1985, NAMI Solano County is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to assisting those living with mental illness and their families.

NAMI Solano County is an affiliate of NAMI California and NAMI National. With renowned programs, dedicated volunteers, workshops and conferences, publications and online resources, we seek to improve the lives of those affected by mental illness.

As a volunteer organization, it is our community (like you!) that conducts all of our local activities, classes, fundraising, advocacy, and support.

Our annual Holiday Gift Bag project has delivered more than 10,000 bags filled with gifts and hygiene items for those living with mental illness.

Respected by local law enforcement, we partner with their Crisis Intervention Trainings in an effort to improve officer and consumer safety.

TESTIMONIALS

“NAMI is Wonderful!! Through the Family to Family class, I’ve learned so much – it’s helped me understand

my son and his thoughts and behaviors . I have met some great people who truly understand what I’m going

through.”

– A mother with a 23 year old living with Schizophrenia

“NAMI has had a very positive impact on the way I live. The Peer-to-Peer course gave me a very good under-

standing of my mental illness. It helped me with the way I live my life now. Because of this class, I was able to get over the ‘bump in the road.’ I now have the courage to

get a job and return to the workforce.” – An individual living with Depression and Panic Attacks
