Concert on March 24, 2016. This year’s program,
More Of You, featured songs and skits by all
classes K5-12. Prior to the concert, several students
performed musical numbers, readings, and choreo-
graphed pieces. The kindergarten through 4th grade
numbers were conducted by Ms. Cheryl Stubbs,
and the 5th grade through 12th grade numbers
were conducted by Ms. Kimberly McCormick.
All students and teachers worked very hard to pre-
sent a meaningful worship experience for those who
attended.

Jr. Missions 2016
Our Junior Class went to Webster Springs, WV for our first ever Jun-
ior Mission Trip! We worked at an elementary school that is being
changed into a community center in the small town of Diana. Our
crew was asked to do lots of work as they get the building ready to
hold community meetings, birthday parties, weddings, community
meals, and host mission teams. The facility was about 30 years old,
so we did lots of scraping, painting and cleaning. Half of our students
focused on painting the classrooms and taking down old chalk boards
and bulletin boards. The other half worked on scraping the paint off
the floor of the gym bathrooms. The paint had been ruined form
standing water, so our students scraped the old paint off, cleaned the
floor, and repainted the floor. This was a very strenuous task but our
students worked hard and did an incredible job. In the evenings we
spent time reflecting on how God worked in and through us that day.
We also took time to visit “The Custard Stand” a local restaurant , for
some amazing bonding time. It was a fantastic trip and these students
represented Jesus in a powerful way. It was a blessing to be a part of
this trip and watch the mission work that God is doing through DCS.

Senior Missions 2016
The DCS senior class recently had the opportunity to travel to
Puerto Rico for their annual Senior Mission Trip. They served
primarily in San Juan where they took part in street evange-
lism, orphanage ministry, and construction work. It was an
awesome experience for the seniors to be able to minister
outside of their normal contexts. We would like to thank eve-
ryone who prayed for them through out the entire process
and gave towards their trip.
