What is the water cycle?• The water cycle is a cycle or pattern of the solar

system, because it repeats itself over and over again and it never stops. This is what the water cycle is or does. First there is evaporation. Evaporation is when water rises from the ocean from the heat of the sun into the air that we breath.

• Next there is transpiration. Transpiration is the loss of water from parts of plants especially leaves but also stems, flowers and roots. After transpiration comes water vapor. Water vapor is when water turns into a gas aka the gas phase of water.

Then comes precipitation. Precipitation is the formation of a solid in a solution or inside another solid during a chemical reaction or by diffusion in a solid. And last but not least there is infiltration. Infiltration is the process by which water on the ground enters the soil. That is the water cycle.

Evaporation

• Evaporation is when water rises from the ocean from the heat of the sun into the air.

Transpiration

• Transpiration is the loss of water from parts of plants especially leaves but also stems, flowers and roots.

Water Vapor• Water vapor is when water turns into a gas

aka the gas phase of water.

Precipitation• Precipitation is formation of a solid in a

solution or inside another solid during a chemical or by diffusion in a solid.

Infiltration

• Infiltration is the process by which water on the ground enters the soil.

How can we conserve water? One way that we can conserve water is that when we clean our

driveway or sidewalk, instead of using a hose to clean we can use a broom to clean our sidewalk and save water every time!

What impact does the water cycle have on us?

• Only 1 percent of water on our planet is drinkable. If we ruin or pollute that water we could and might get sick if we aren’t able to filter it and clean it. This is why we filter and clean water. If that 1 percent of water does get ruined or polluted we could get sick or die one way or another, because we wont drink the water because we know its polluted or we will drink that dirty polluted water and then get sick and possibly die. If we could possibly filter that water then we could be saved.

What impact does the water cycle have on us continued…

• This is a picture of polluted water. If we didn’t have the ability to filter and clean this water then nearly all of earth’s water would be polluted. One thing that we could do to keep earth a healthy safe environment is that on any day, anytime ,and anywhere we could pick up litter on the ground that we see and throw it away in the nearest trash can we see or recycle it.

Why clean water? What could happen if we don’t?

• This is a picture of a water filter. This water filter cleans dirty water for us so that we can use it as bottled fresh drinking water or use it for other reasons such as cleaning. If we didn’t clean this water we would be using dirty or polluted to drink. Every living thing on the planet depends on a CLEAN fresh supply of water. So if we don’t CLEAN that water then we are not getting the CLEAN supply of water that we are supposed to be getting.
