NEW ENTRY/EXIT RULES AT BOTH CITY HALL, CALVIN C. GOODE

SECURITY CHANGES ANNOUNCED

The safety and security of employees and

citizens who use two of our largest city office

facilities is a top priority. After careful

consideration with experts, new security

procedures will soon be in place for all city staff,

contractors, vendors and the visiting public.

Much of the new security process will be similar

to what’s already in place at the Phoenix

Municipal Court. It will take time to learn the

new required protocols for entering and exiting

the buildings. Please be patient with the staff

who are managing the security processes.

Employee Entrance to City Hall:

Employees with security card access to City Hall, can con-

tinue to enter through the west doors off of 3rd Avenue.

Employees without security card access to City Hall will

need to enter through the main entrance under the iconic

sunburst.

Employees who do not have a city issued ID badge will be

required to pass through a full security screening at the

main entrance. (Uniformed police officers are excluded.)

Visitors Entering City Hall:

All visitors will enter only through the main entrance

(under sunburst) and pass through a full security

screening and/or hand-held metal detector. All bags will

be screened through an x-ray machine.

East Entrance to City Hall:

The east doors will be permanently closed. There will be

no entry or exit through the east doors.

Exiting City Hall:

Visitors will only exit through the south doors.

Employees may exit through either the south or west

doors.
