HELP CLOSE THE GAP
Every year we receive requests for financial aid for tuition. This year there were 29 families representing 52 children that requested financial assistance totaling $98,886. We were able to raise $66,258 from parishioners participating in the BLOCS/EITC program, which helped 37 children and the need continues to grow each year. Can you help CLOSE THE GAP?
If you are an individual, business owner, or work for a company that has a base in Pennsylvania and want to learn how to keep your tax dollars at MMR to help students with tuition assistance, please contact our school’s Advancement Director Monica Dryden by email at [email protected] or by phone at 215.412.7101 ex 509.

CALLING ALL COFFEE LOVERS!
Do you have a Keurig at home or at work? If yes, can you please save your k-cups? MMR’s 8th grade Odyssey Team is in need of them. You don’t even need to clean them out - we can do that when we get them. Every little bit helps our cause! Please put them in sealed zip-lock bags and send them into school. They can be sent to the attention of: Patrick Cresko, Ms. Blasetti’s homeroom 8-212. Thank you for your consideration.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE
2019-20 SCHOOL YEAR
For the past several years MMR School has been fortunate to receive tuition assistance from BLOCS, due in large part to the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. These funds provide several school families with tuition assistance, allowing many children to continue their enrollment at MMR. Any family seeking these funds must apply directly to FACTS, following the established deadlines. Applications for financial assistance for students who will be enrolled in Pre-School through 8th grade during the 2019 - 2020 school year are available now. FACTS processes the application on behalf of BLOCS. The required documents and application must be submitted to FACTS by April 30, 2019 with the $35.00 application fee for returning and new applicants. To begin the application process, use your current FACTS sign on information. Please contact Monica Dryden at [email protected] for more information.

Women’s Tea at Malvern Retreat House Come join us for a relaxing afternoon of faith and fellowship at Malvern Retreat House on Sunday, February 3rd from 1:30 - 4:00 pm. After enjoy-ing tea and refreshments, Dr. Carol Houghton will speak on Fear is Useless; What is Needed is Trust. Dr. Houghton is Chancellor of the Diocese of Harris-burg and Defender of the Bond in the Tribunal. She also teaches various classes for adult education and enrichment in the Diocese of Harrisburg. In addition, Carol is now teaching on a regular live monthly radio program on “In His Sign Catholic Radio,” (WTMR 800 AM). Dr. Houghton’s talk will focus on a very important step in the Christian life: the step of total and complete trust in God. We will consider what Jesus teaches us in the Scripture and what we can learn from some of the Saints about trusting in God. How can trust grow in my life? And what does it re-ally mean for me to trust in God? Cost is $25 per person. Register online at MalvernRetreat.com. To be seated with others from MMR, on the online form "Hostess Invitation" select Cynthia Coleman from the drop-down menu. If you can't register online, call Malvern Retreat House at 610-644-0400. If you want to carpool from MMR or have any questions, contact Cindy Coleman at 267-664-5804.
MMR To Participate in Parish Survey Please Read!
Mary, Mother of the Redeemer will be participating in a parish survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute and we need your help!
Please help us by participating in a 10 - 15 minute survey online. The survey can be accessed at DiscipleMakerIndex.com from Saturday, February 16th thru Monday, March 18th and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and ena-ble you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as whole. We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Msgr. Conway and our various min-istries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. If you don’t use the computer, you can obtain a paper copy by contacting Gary Zimak at 215-362-7400. Thank you for helping with this important project!
