graduation' from University of the Pacific. While in...the, Navy, Mr.Goozee initiated the Hilltop Playhouse on the island of Guam. OnBroadway he acted in "A THURBER CARNIVAL;'; other credits in-clude three seasons of summer musical stock in N~w York, someprofessional road tours, and aseason with the Hyatt Music Theatre.Mr. Goozee spent mostpast summers working, irr theatrical produc-ttions. He has directed the majority of WesfValley Light Opera's pastproductions, including "OLIVER", "ONCE UPON J\ MATTRESS","BELLS ARE RINGING", "GUYS AND DOLLS", "GYPSY" and"ON A CLE,l\R DAY YO!J CAN SEE FOREVER",
JOHN P. POWERS [Hajj]John worked professionally in the New Yo~k area for some nine'
years, where he led and vocalizedin his own-combo. Since changinghis business committments to California two years ago, he has beenfree to devote some time to his true love.Ithe theatre. In this areaJohn has appeared with most of the local light opera and dramagroups. Some of his recent appearances include lead roles in "LUV".for A.R.T. and Manhattan Playhouse, "0 MEN, 0 WOMEN" for LosGatos-Saratoga C.T., " A WI FE FOR SUNDAYS" (an original) forKing Dodo Playhouse, and most recently the role of Vidal in "SWEETCHARITY" for San Jose Light Opera,
Perhaps best remembered are John's leading roles in West ValleyLigbt' Opera's "BE LLS ARE RI NGI NG" when he played the part ofJefJ.,l)Iioss, and as Sky Masterson in "GUYS AND DOLLS".

Priscilla studied voice at the Julliard School of Music and the Uta -Hagen-Herber.t Be'rgt.lof School of Drama. She has appeared in sum-.rner stock-on the east coast. in the south, and i·n Chicago; Shehasworked in radio and on TV for the Ford Motor Company and in Off-Broadway productions as well as on tours with-such notables as Den-.nis Dav , Gypsy Rose Lee, Jack Carson, Julie Newmar and others ..While. performing in stock, Priscilla met and married her stage man-ager, .Sherwood Goozee, director of "KISMET". RICHARD CROSLEY [The Caliph]Richard Crosley is making his second appearance with the West
Valley Light Opera Association's production of "KISMET". He playedinthe Cabirl!o production of "KISS ME KATE" followed by thepartof Mr. Snow in the same organization's production of "CAROU-SEL". Dick had a tenor role in a Mexican operetta in Guadalajara in1967, and has also sung in the Santa Cruz symphony in scenes from"CARMEN". He has also appeared in a number of plays with theSan Lorenzo Valley players. Dick starred as Tommy Albright inWest Valley's recent production of "BRIGADOON".
KIMBERLEY SCROGGINS [Marsinah]Kim Scroggins began her singing career at age 15, while attending
Campbell High School. A resident of Saratoga, she has appeared asCarrie with the San Jose Light Opera's production of "CARN IVAL"and in the Los Altos Junior Artist's Guild's production of "CAROU-SEL". Kim is now completing her B.A. course in Drama at San JoseState; at State she has appeared in "THE MAGIC FLUTE", "MA-DAME BUTTERFLY" and "LOOK HOMEWARD ANGEL". Sheappeared in a children's play, portraying a Chinese princess. A voicestudent for seven years, Kim recently completed a year of trainingat the Conservatorio Cherubini in Florence, Italy.
As Marsinah, Kim makes her first appearance in a West Valleyproducti on.
ROBERT GOULD [The WazirlBob Gould is a student at San Jose City College, majoring in
Drama and Films. While still in High School, Bob played leadingroles in productions of "FINIAN'S RAI NBOW", "SOUTH PACIFIC"and "FLOWER DRUM SONG". At City College he appeared in"PRIVATE LIFE OF THE MASTER RACE" and in "THE MISER".
As the Wazir in Kismet, Bob is making his second appearance ina West Valley Light Opera production, having played in our per-formances of "ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER".
MEL CARREROW-Assistant Director [JawanlAssistant Director Mel Carrerow, who also portrays the part of
Jawari, is making his 52n9 stage appearance and his fourth as an As-sistant Director. He is experienced in all phases.of the theatrical artsand feels that his most noteworthy achievement was in playing sixdifferent roles in the production of "LITTLE ME".
Mef 's last appearance was in West Valley Light Opera's produc-tion of "BRIGADOON" in September of 1969, when he played thedemanding role of Harry Beaton; in that play he also served asdialect coach.
