Kids will love the brand-new family pool with its two

A Place That Inspires Activity (or Total Relaxation)
Surrounded by lush gardens with cascading waterfalls, this 12-acre beachfront resort abounds with ways to rejuvenate –
from splashing fun in outdoor pools to snorkel cruises, shopping at neighboring Whalers Village and championship
golfing. Complimentary shuttle services are also offered for a short trip to historic Lahaina town for more shopping,
dining, nightlife and sight-seeing. Kids will love the chance to try kayaking, bodyboarding, sailing and learning about
the area’s culture through ukulele lessons and traditional arts.
KEY EVENTS EACH YEAR
FOURTH OF JULY “HAWAIIAN FLOWER SHOWER”
For more than two decades, the resort has hosted its
annual Fourth of July “flowerworks,” with 60,000 fresh
white and purple orchids showering hundreds of resort
guests from a Blue Hawaiian helicopter above. This
unique Hawaiian Flower Shower emphasizes the
importance of being sustainable and caring for
the planet.
THE ANNUAL HUMPBACK WHALE MIGRATION
While all year round, you can swim in the pristine
waters off Ka’anapali Beach alongside green sea turtles
and tropical fish, from mid-December to mid-April,
families of humpback whales share the waters on their
seasonal migration from Alaska to Hawaii. Admire this
beautiful natural phenomenon from the shores or out
on an outrigger canoe, where you experience stunning
views of the West Maui Mountains and neighboring
Lana’i and Moloka’i.
2020 MAUI MARATHON
The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali has been the
host hotel of the Maui Marathon – recognized as one of
the 10 most scenic marathons in North America – for
more than two decades, inspiring people to live well
and move well. The January event attracts runners from
around the world and features a Shake Out Run led by
the RunWESTIN™ concierge, Brad Kukral.
The beachfront route designed by the resort is also
offered on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for guests
to exercise while taking in scenic Ka’anapali and Mauna
Kahalawai (West Maui Mountains). Open to all levels,
guests can take advantage of our New Balance® Gear
Lending program.
Playing Our Part in Replenishing Maui
MALAMA HONOKOWAI
Take a glimpse 500 years back into Maui’s past in
Honokowai Valley. Volunteers have been working to remove
invasive plant species to reveal an ancient Hawaiian village
settlement, an initiative currently led by Duane Sparkman,
the resort’s Landscaping Manager. Open Saturdays, meet at
the Pu’ukoli’i Train Station (West Maui) at 9:00 AM and
share a four-wheel drive ride deep into the lush valley.
TAKE TO THE WATER
Water is the vital essence of our lives, a resource to be
respected and shared. In May 2018, The Westin Maui Resort
& Spa, Ka’anapali launched the Westin Maui WATERMAN
(and WATERWOMAN) program, an initiative to inspire and
influence others to make a positive and sustainable impact
to our ocean. Resort guests can learn about the marine
sanctuary and the importance of protecting it and the
surrounding lands through beach cleanups, savoring island
flavors through Westin Fresh by The Juicery, and diving
headfirst into a range of energizing ocean adventure
activities with paddle boarders, boat captains, canoe racers
and surfers. Famed local Watermen and Waterwomen
include World Champion Surfer and Environmental Aloha
Ambassador Zane Kekoa Schweitzer, Maui Surfer Sierra
Lerback, Marine Naturalist Dirk Younkerman and Stand-up
Paddleboarding pioneer Suzie Cooney.
Whalers Village
Browse boutiques while taking in a breath of fresh air at this
beachside shopping, dining and entertainment complex.
Pu’u Keka’a
Plunge into the waters by Pu’u Keka’a (also known as
Black Rock), and enliven your senses with a prime
snorkeling experience.
Ka’anapali Surf Club
Offering surf and stand-up paddleboarding lessons and
rentals, this shop is a go-to for energizing watersports.
Lahaina Town
Among the most historic towns in Hawaii, this vibrant
community features diverse dining outlets, live music
and entertainment, shops and galleries.
Ka’anapali Golf Courses
Set along the coast, these beautiful courses offer a
challenging landscape with incredible ocean views.
Kapalua
Once home to pineapple plantations, Kapalua (meaning
“arms embracing the sea”) is now one of the island’s main

Maui Ocean Center
Become immersed in the many wonders of Hawaii’s unique
marine environment at this all-ages center in Wailuku.
Pipiwai Trail
Make it to the end of this trail in Haleakala National Park,
and come upon the impressive sight of Waimoku Falls.
Iao Valley State Park
Lush emerald green rainforest paths and the 1,200-foot
Iao Needle, one of Maui’s most familiar landmarks, make
lao Valley a refreshing excursion.
Waihe’e Ridge Trail
Hike along this elevated trail, and take in the stunning
panoramas of the surrounding valleys, forests and
mountains of Maui.
Blue Hawaiian Helicopters
Offering a truly invigorating sightseeing experience,
these guided helicopter tours allow you to glimpse all
that the island has to offer from above.
Paia
Paia is the windsurfing capital of the world, also popular
with kite surfers. Its township is home to quality local
dining and galleries.
Hali’imaile Distillery Tour & Tasting Room
Get a taste for Maui’s local small-batch rum, vodka
and whiskeys.
Makawao
Cowboys meet artsy galleries in this small town on the
slopes of Maui’s Haleakalā volcano.
Maui Brewing Co.
Since 2005, they’ve been Hawaii’s largest craft brewer
with unique, easy-drinking beers.
Makena Beach
Crystal waters and white sands make this a must-lounge,
must-swim Maui beach.
Ali’i Kula Lavender
Relish the sweet scent of farm-fresh lavender, oils, seeds
and handicrafts.
MauiWine
Volcanic soil, year-round sun and plenty of fresh
water contribute to the quality vintages to enjoy at
MauiWine vineyard.
Haleakalā National Park
Hawaiian for “house of the sun,” Haleakalā is a dormant
volcano with strong ties to mythology, stunning
landscapes and waterfalls.
Twin Falls
These waterfalls are among the first on the Road to Hana,
complete with a snack stand offering delicious banana
bread and other treats.

Eat Well
As the sun goes down, gather on the beach for the
sunset torch lighting ceremony and join our Polynesian
luau for music, dancing performances, a lavish buffet
and all-inclusive drinks. For the past 11 years, the Wailele
Polynesian Luau dinner show has been entrancing
guests, with notable awards including TripAdvisor’s
Certificate of Excellence. Discover the rich history of
the island culture through music, dance and fire.
Our Executive Chef
Executive chef Jennifer Evetushick has followed her
passion for amazing food to the beaches of Maui.
Over the last few years, she has solidified her reputation
as an inventive culinary master, crafting innovative
creations using the incredible fresh local ingredients
found in the waters of the Pacific and the fertile
farmlands of the Hawaiian islands. A graduate from the
Culinary Arts School at The Art Institute of Philadelphia,
where she was recognized with the Outstanding
Achievement Award in her class, she has risen to her
current role from humble beginnings working in small
fast-food kitchens to operating her own catering
business. Today, Chef Jenn leads a tight-knit team of over
75 cooks and stewards, serving reef-fresh fish, tropical
fruits and current favorites like Pipikaula Poke at the
Wailele Polynesian Luau. Chef Jenn has been featured
on several TV shows, including ABC San Francisco’s new
digital concept series titled Foodie Calls.
Fresh tropical fruits and ocean-fresh
