RESIDENT FEEDBACK MEETING The residents’ meeting on Wednesday 28 August was attended by 5 residents and 3 staff. The following were
noted during discussions:
• Meeting was advised that Laundry have made some changes to the washing of ‘whites’ which should give a whiter/brighter result. Residents asked to monitor.
• House 6/7 evening meals are no longer hot once they are served to residents (temperature testing at serving point to commence)
• Extended shifts in Hs 6/7 have commenced – good feedback received.
• Cleaning of bathroom floors – currently in the process of obtaining quotes for industrial scrubber.
• One resident had medication dispensed late in the evening (agency staff). To be addressed with agency. Meeting advised that we are focussing on recruiting more carers and EN as our aim is to have no agency staff after 1 October except in extenuating circumstances.
• Hs 7 lounge seating arrangements to be monitored. RENAMING OF REMBRANDT COURT HOUSES As requested by residents, we are changing Rembrandt Court House numbers to House names. Some suggestions are: Dutch Royal Family Names, Flowers, Animals, Colours We would love to receive your suggestion … so, why not enter our competition? The winner will receive a $30 Kleine Café Gift Voucher. You can forward your suggestion by dropping off a written note to Reception or send an email to [email protected]

changed. Medication review also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your medicines, so any problems can be resolved or prevented It is preferred you have a consultation with the GP to discuss any issue or concerns you may have. Did you know that a Registered Nurse is on site 24 hours 7 days a week to answer any queries or concerns you may have. Terry White Pharmacy also provides us with an on-call service. The pharmacy can also review medications prescribed to ensure your medications are managed safely. Medicines and medication management are subject to national, state and territory laws, regulations and standards. The Guiding Principles recommend that all aged care homes have a Medication Advisory Committee (MAC) of health professionals, management and a resident representative. The MAC helps us to plan and review medication management and take action to improve safe and quality use of medicines where required. Mobile Dentist The Mobile Dentist will be visiting Rembrandt Court on Wednesday 13 November. Please let nursing staff know if you wish an appointment. Clean up Day! Staff will be having a ‘clean up day’ on Thursday 5 September. A skip has been ordered and will be placed in the back car park. Residents are welcome to make use of the opportunity to discard unwanted items by placing them in the skip.
