The wonderful national park of Kamchatka, Russia 140,000 square miles of

the Kamchatka Peninsula might as well be the edge of the Earth. Jutting into

the natural Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea, it’s covered with mountains

of human beings.

But the wild peninsula piqued Sarah McNair-Landry’s interest simply with its

of expedition destinations. “In my mind, it’s very wild, not many people go

there, lots of bears, lots of volcanoes, cold. It would be a beautiful place to

Things to Do in U.K. Parks
