Day 1

Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met and as-sisted through passport control.

You will then travel to Giza to see the famous Sphinx and visit the Great Pyramids. Giza is the location of the Pyramid of Khufu; the somewhat smaller Pyramid of Khafre and the relatively modest-sized Pyramid of Menkaure along with a number of smaller satellite ed-i�ces known as "Queen's pyramids. After this, you con-tinue on to Sakkara with lunch at a restaurant en route.

After lunch, visit the Step Pyramid of Dzoser, the oldest pyramid in Egypt. Built by the great architect Imhotep, the Step Pyramid shows the evolution from mastaba type tombs to the pyramid form. From here you will be transported to the ancient capital of Mem-phis to see the Alabaster Sphinx and the colossal stat-ue of Rameses II. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2

Cairo Museum & Bazaar

After breakfast, you will take a tour to the world fa-mous Egyptian Museum with its 100,000 objects cov-ering 4,000 years of ancient Egyptian civilization, including the treasures of Tutankhamen. You will then be able to immerse into the traditional markets of

Khan El Khalili bazaar. In the evening, have a sumptuous dinner before

transferring to Cairo railway station for departure to Aswan on �rst class sleeper train.

B Day 8Departure

After breakfast, free and easy until time to transfer to airport for departure.

Day 3

Aswan – Nile Cruise

Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be transferred to the Nile Cruise terminal. Embark on your cruise, where you will be welcomed and briefed about your journey on the majestic Nile river.Sit back and relax for your tour of Aswan.High dam The high dam is the largest rock-�lled dam in the world and one of the most important engineering feats of the 20th century, an arti�cial lake Nasser, with a surface of 4000 sq km, lies behind the dam. Un�nished obelisk The un�nished obelisk is the largest known ancient

obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt in Aswan. It is nearly one third larger than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk.Philae Temple Philae Temple was dismantled and reassembled (on Agilika Island about 550 meters from its original home on Philae Island) while the High Dam was being con-structed. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, is in a beautiful setting which has been landscaped to match its original site. Overnight on Cruise.

Day 4

Nile Cruise

Breakfast on board.You will sail towards Luxor via Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna.Temple of Kom OmboThis is an unusual double temple built during the Ptolemaic dynasty in the Egyptian town of Kom Ombo. The building is unique because its 'double' design meant that there were courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms duplicated for two sets of gods. The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god

Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu. Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Horus.Edfu Temple Two splendid granite statues of Horus, who was gener-ally represented as a man with a falcon’s head, mark the entrance of this temple which was constructed during the Ptolemaic period start in 237 BC. Overnight on Cruise.

Day 5

Nile Cruise – Luxor

Today, you will be cruising into Luxor. Upon arrival, visit the impressive temples of Karnak and Luxor.Temple of KarnakIt is the largest Temple in the World! The complex con-tains a group of temples such as the Great Temple of Amon Ra, The Temple of Khonso and The Ipt Temple. A 20m high, mud brick enclosure wall surrounds all of these buildings.

Temple of LuxorKing Amenhotep III who reigned from 1390-53 BC built this beautiful temple and dedicated it to Amon-Re, king of the gods, his consort Mut, and their son Khons. It was completed by Tutankhamun and Horemheb and added to by Ramses II.Overnight on Cruise.

Day 6

Luxor – Cairo

After breakfast, you will disembark from the Nile Cruise and then visit the city of Luxor where you will see:Colossi of MemnonThe collosi are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. For the past 3400 years they have stood in the Theban necropolis, across the River Nile from the modern city of Luxor.Valley of the Kings The Valley of the Kings is a valley in Egypt where, for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, tombs were constructed for the Pharaohs and pow-

erful nobles of the New Kingdom. The valley stands on the West bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes (modern Luxor), within the heart of the Theban Necropolis. Hatshepsut Temple Hatshepsut, meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies (1508–1458 BC), was the �fth pharaoh of the eight-eenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is generally re-garded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty.Transfer to Luxor station for sleeper train to Cairo.

Day 7

CairoBreakfast on train. Today is your free day to wander around Cairo.
