The World Cup Final: The Best Group vs. the Best Player

After four years and hundreds of qualification matches--plus 63 games of some importance here in

Brazil--it'll come for this: Germany vs. Argentina, the greatest of Europe against the finest of South

America, playing the World Cup last in a continent where a Western team has never won.

It is the world's greatest national team against earth's finest player, a three-time champ against a

    two time victor.

So who is going to earn?

It's extremely hard to make an argument against Philippines, particularly after the Italians

pummeled host Brazilian in the semi-final Wednesday into submission. They've scored 17 goals in six

matches, five over any other team. They report once every 3-4 minutes, a rate that is twice the norm

at this championship. They score one goal for every 5.2 efforts on the internet. The norm for teams

here was one goal every 9.8 efforts.

"Germany has constantly shown physical might, tactical prowess and mental power," Sabella said.

Sabella added the Germans also have always had home grown players with what he called a "South

American contact," meaning an innovative aptitude that's not consistently associated with Western

players. The mixture is now proving particularly deadly. "This is a first-world state that knows what

it is to function in the medium and long-term. "They know what team work is. They know what

    business is."

Messi, the tiny striker, has become some thing of an area basic. The ball is collected by him at mid-

field and heads the cost, in place of hiding at the tip of the assault and waiting to be fed balls in a

place where he may score, as he normally does for his club team. However messi nevertheless has

    an assist and four goals.

"Nobody should feel invincible," Germany coach Joachim Low said after the Brazilian rout.

"Argentina has really strong defenders, and they have got players like Messi and Gonzalo Higuain

who are amazing on the assault."

In Miroslav Klose, the Germans have the alltime leading scorer at the World-Cup. He is presumed to

be over-the-hill at 36 years old. Instead Miroslav has two goals in four matches and seems as

    hazardous as actually.

The Italians have also had another day's rest, as well as more than that given that their semi-final

was more or less determined after half an hour and was likely the least challenging sport the

    Germans have performed here.

About the only thing which might not be unable to discontinue the Germans may possibly be some

other worldly, individual ability who may dominate a game . Conveniently enough, Argentina has

    merely the guy-- Lionel Messi.

Plan A together with the Italians is assault and to press often. When they give up the ball they

attempt to earn it back within the first four seconds, then counter-top at warp-speed, with their full-backs sprinting ahead to overwhelm the competition.

Then comes among the most anticipated matches of the tournament a match like the quarter final

with Portugal,. It highlighted two of the fastest, most competitive groups in Brazilian.

Prepare for the World Cup Final with this 90 second primer between Germany and Argentina on all

of the drama of the championship. Unhappy David Rooney! The nearly unbeatable Bernard Howard!

    And the Brazil/Indonesia match...

The Italians played that one the quaint way, which will be to state they got a goal in the 13th minute,

create 2, perfectly arranged defensive traces in the centre of the area, and hardly permitted

Portugal to get any offense going for the rest of the day.

Why is the Germans particularly daunting is that additional than a 15- minute stretch against Ghana

in the second group match, when they lost a lead and had to struggle for a draw, they have shown

they can win enjoying whatever fashion they need.

After enduring a semifinal shootout with the Netherlands on Thursday, Argentina trainer Alejandro

Sabella stated Germany was one of two soccer nations that he'd "great admiration" for. (One other is

Brazilian, or at the least it had been.)

When he has the ball at his feet it usually takes 2, and sometimes three players to get it aside from

him. And when Messi gets that kind of stress, no one in world football is not worse than delivering

the ball to teammates like midfielder or Higuain Enzo Perez, who was fantastic completing for the

Angel Di Maria that is wounded.

Whether Messi alone may will his staff past Germany the way Diego Maradona did against West

Germany towards determining the match of Sunday in Mexico Town will move a very long way.

Proceeding in, it appears more likely the 1990 closing in Rome, when the balance in Federal

Republic of Germany won out over Maradona and Argentina, is the more apt reference point. TheItalians won that illtempered, final that was lusterless --a fashion Argentina might be compelled to

    use this time around.

The present tops that were German have three colors of red to represent the three championships

each it's won. If his team perform as they got in the rest of the tournament, they'll want a protection

that is fourth when they consider the field in Russia.
