The World Peace The World Peace Prayer Society Prayer Society at the United Nations at the United Nations HM King Abdullah II of Jordan introduced a World Interfaith Harmony Week at the Plenary Session of the 65th UN General Assembly in New York. The UN GA passed the resolution, naming the first week of February each year. The World Peace Prayer Society urges people of all religions around the world to support this beautiful initiative. May Peace Prevail on Earth In 2010, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called on young people around the world to take a stand for peace under the theme, Youth for Peace and Development on the International Day of Peace (IDP). The campaign slogan was Peace=Future: the Math is Easy. Once again, the World Peace Prayer Society supported the IDP by our work with the UN Department of Public Information, an exciting student observance at UN headquarters, and outreach around the world. But our most powerful contribution is always with our prayer: MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH! Supporting the United Nations with the message and prayer “May Peace Prevail on Earth.” 2010-2011 UN INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF YOUTH The UN General Assembly declared August 2010-August 2011 as the International Year of Youth: Dialogue and Mutual Understanding. G20 Moral Politics , Seoul, Korea The World Peace Prayer Society was invited to offer a World Peace Prayer Ceremony with special prayers for Korea to support to the G20 gathering on world finance in Seoul. CSVGC-NY : A Culture of Peace The UN Week of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns concluded on Oct. 29 th with “The Power of Youth to Promote the Culture of Peace.” The event highlighted Campus Peace Centers and featured images of young people with Peace Poles and World Peace Flag Ceremonies.
