The World Renewal

Every man in this world aspires for freedom, liberty orSwatantrata. The political parties and the governmentsof the day also profess that they would work for protecting

the liberty, fraternity and equality of their people. The well-knownStatue of Liberty in America symbolises that the Americanpeople consider Liberty as very sacred and that America, as anation, stands for the liberty of individuals and nations. TheIndian Constitution also, in the preamble itself, recognises andenshrines liberty as one of the basic rights to be enjoyed by itspeople. The Communists, all over the world, also avow thattheir aim is the economic liberation of the people from the yokeof the exploitative bourgeoisie class. During the days of struggleagainst the British Raj, All India Congress had the Liberation ofIndia from foreign domination as its professed aim and cherishedgoal. Similarly, the scientists say that liberation of man’s mindfrom age-old superstitions, blind faith and dogmas is one oftheir aims or one of the benefits of science. The psychologistsalso say that liberation of man from various complexes or badhabits is a noble aim of their research.

Various Kinds of Bondages Remain to BeSo, we all aim at achieving Liberation, be it political,

economic, social, mental or religious. To reach that goal, politicians, economists, social reformers, philosophers andreligious preachers have been trying in their own ways. Manytheories, ideologies, isms and so-called philosophies have beentried, but still the slavery of man to the State, to the dictators,to different wants and desires, to ill- health or to bad habits, has remained to be. None has been able to banish the crime, lawlessness, sufferings, mourning, accidents and disquiet. Nonehas been able to stem the moral rot of the masses and liberatemankind from all kinds of sorrows and sufferings.

The Reason of FailureOne singular reason of this failure is that vices like sex-lust,

anger, greed, attachment and arrogance, which make agovernment coercive, unjust and inconsiderate; a dictator tyrantand an individual exploitative, corrupt, crime-minded and

DADI PRAKASHMANI -EPTIOME OF

SURRENDERED LIFEHonouring the 11th Anniversary of Dadiji’s

Ascension to Subtle Region

It’s but natural for all those BKSisters and Brothers fromBharat and Overseas Centres

who had the honour and privilegeof coming in contact withRevered Dr Dadi Prakashmani, lovingly known as ‘DadiKumarka’, remember her somuch. She had showered hergodly love and blessings on oneand all, without distinction.

At the time of Dadiji’s initiationas one of the Brahma Kumaris, her father mentioned that heconsidered her to be the divinesoul of Saint Meera. From theage of 17-18 until she becameavyakt, each day of herillustrious life had been eventful.Up to the age of 31-32, sheparticipated whole-heartedly in14 long years of SpiritualLearning/Training, RajyogaMeditation practice, andparticipation in seminars, debates, and all-nightMeditation Tapasya sessions. The divine name given to her bythe Supreme Being through atrance-medium, ‘Prakashmani(Jewel of Light)’, proved to be100% true considering her self-enlightenment and propagation

of purity, morality, spiritualvalues, godly wisdom and deepmeditation. By the time she was32 years of age her personalityhad developed into a great Yogin, who expounded Sahej Rajyogaand lived by the deep aspects ofGodly Knowledge, as revealedby Supreme Father, IncorporealGod Shiva.

She was one of the mostfaithful, obedient and trustworthymembers of the ManagementCommittee of Prajapita BrahmaKumaris Ishwariya VishwaVidyalaya, founded in 1937. Herspecialties included being veryregular in her MorningMeditations, Gyan Murli

Classes and other activities ofthe Spiritual Yagya, therebyhelping in the establishment ofa unique godly university of theBrahma Kumaris.

Along with MateswariSaraswati, Didi Manmohini, DadiChandramani, Dadi Janki andother Dadis, she was alwaysheld in high esteem byespecially the senior membersof the Institution. Even BrahmaBaba showered flowers of praiseon Dadiji for her leadership rolein the running of the Yagya, aswell as establishment of godlyService Centres in different partsof India and other countries.

Dadiji was gifted with theability to guide members of thedivine family in maintainingregularity, punctuality anddivinity in daily life, as wellas creating team spirit amongthe sisters and brothers, whileevolving innovative ideas ofgodly service in differentfields of activity.

Dadiji had the leanings of

The World Renewal 5August, 2018a great artist and vigor of asportsperson, along withbeing sincerely humanist. Asthe chariot gained more andmore number of years, her auraof spiritual light and words ofwisdom became the source ofawakening and enlightenment forthousands and thousands ofpeople. Further, her magneticvibrations and humblegestures conveyed love andrespect to everyone, from anybackground or age orreligion.

High-ranking professionalsvalued her advice and guidancefor leading a balanced and happylifestyle, through the regularpractice of early morningmeditation, and study of godlyversions. Prime Ministers,Presidents, Chief Ministers,Members of Parliament andLegislatures, eminent leaders ofall professions, holypersonalities from different faithsand belief systems, the youthand children, as well as villagefolk were always mesmerised by

her loving radiance, and invitingsmiles.

Of all of Dadiji’s commendableachievements, the followingstand tall and proud:

In September 1987, Dadijiwas welcomed graciously byHis Excellency, Javier Perezde Cuellar, the former UnitedNations Secretary General,Mrs Perez de Cuellar, andother dignitaries during hervisit to the UN at New York, ,when the Brahma Kumarisreceived 7 PeaceMessenger Awards for theirsignificant contribution inthe observance to theUnited NationsInternational Year of Peace. In 1992, Dadiji was bestowedwith an honorary DoctorateDegree in Literature by theChancellor of MohanlalSukhadia University, Udaipur,by the then Governor ofRajasthan for her outstandingcontribution to the cause oflearning, spreading anddevelopment of spiritual, moral

and human values. On the auspicious day of

remembrance, 25 August 2018,we wish that our beloved Dadijicontinues to empower us withnobility and spirituality, as wellas unshakeable faith in theSupreme Being, and godlywisdom.

All the sisters and brothers ofMadhuban: Pandav Bhawan,Gyan Sarovar, Global Hospital &Research Centre, Peace Park,Shantivan, Sangam Bhawan,Trauma Centre, and ShivmaniHome, miss Dadiji’s presenceparticularly on the specialoccasion of Raksha Bandhan, asDadiji used to spend hours andhours meeting the differentgroups, revising the promises tobe kept during RakshaBandhan, and then tying thesacred thread on our wrists… Letus invoke Dadiji on 26 Augustto come tie a subtle Rakhiaround our wrists, and applythe tilak of victory on ourforeheads!

Though every religiousfestival of Bharat isconsidered to be

sacred, but among al lfestivals, Raksha Bandhan isconsidered to be the mostauspicious and divine. Thenormal practice these days isof sisters wait ing for thisauspicious occasion to tie thebond of pure and divine love

FESTIVAL OF RAKSHA BANDHANaround the brother’s wrist. However, perhaps this festivalwas observed from almost thebeginning of Copper Age afterthe Satyugi deities lost theirnatural state of spir i tualconsciousness, at the end ofSi lver Age. I t would havebecome a very important ritualwhen the path of Bhakti startedwith the worship of Supreme

Father, Incorporeal God Shiva,in the shrines of Shiva Temples.Raja Vikramaditya wasinstrumental in establishing thefirst Shiva Temple, well knownas the ‘Somnath Temple’situated in the south-westregion of Gujarat State. ThePriests/Brahmins of yore usedto tie the holy thread on thewrists of male members of

Page 6: The World Renewal - bkdrluhar.com

The World Renewal6 August, 2018devout Hindus.

Later on, as we learn fromhistorical events, when theRajput warriors went to war, their sisters would tie red-coloured threads (sutra) fortheir protection. The ritual wassymbolic of observing purity inthought, word and action.

Slowly the festival becamepopular during the Moghulperiod when the thread ofRakhi was t ied by sistersaround the wrists of thosebrothers who were on their wayto the battlefield. This was alsoconsidered symbol ic of amessage to the brothers thatthey were protectors of theirsisters from invaders, or anyother e lements who hadcorrupt minds, and evi lintentions and vision.

As we reach the completionof the age of Kal iyuga ,Supreme Father God Shiva, through His medium of BrahmaBaba, gives us the messageof leading pure l ives forachieving real and lastingpeace and happiness in life, asPurity has always, and willalways be the Mother ofHappiness and Peace. Thedivine daughters of BrahmaBaba, Brahma Kumaris, havebeen spreading God’s wisdomand honour ing RakshaBandhan Festival for decadesby ty ing Rakhis unto thepeople from all backgroundsirrespective of faith, colour,

gender, or age. Today, numerous people considerRaksha Bandhan to be anauspicious festival, and feelhighly honoured andfortunate to receive theseRakhis from the divineBrahma Kumaris Sisters.

Though there is a custom ofbrothers giving gifts or moneyto thei r s is ters on th isoccasion, however the BrahmaKumaris sisters insist that theonly gift they will accept is forpeople to renounce negativitiesfrom their lives, for their ownbenefit, as well as benefit ofsociety. Very humorously, some BK s isters askindividuals (whoever they maybe, and from which strata ofsociety) to part with the ‘5 fakecoins (khote sikke), and thenfurther explain the khottesikke to be the five mainnegativities and defects thathave invaded our innerworld: lust, anger, greed, attachment and ego!

Just imagine how withthe advent of new godlyknowledge, systems andcustoms, a silent spiritualrevolution and rejuvenationof divine laws are takingplace on the occasion ofRaksha Bandhan. All of usare well aware of the presentevils of violent and degradingbehaviour by certain malemembers of society towardswomen and young girls, which

stem from severe body-consciousness and rampantindulgence in sensualgratification. But we are alsowitnesses to how the bond ofpur i ty and love, RakshaBandhan, is strengthening thefabric of human society bydiv in is ing the out look ofbrothers towards the sister-folk belonging to any religionor community, and by alsoempower ing females tounderstand and use their ownspir i tual powers. BrahmaKumaris Sisters feel veryhappy to be contributingtowards this subtle but suretransformation in theoutlook of mil l ions ofpeople, with a shift fromphysical body-consciousness to spiritualsoul-consciousness.

Further, the tying of Rakhialso conveys IncorporealSupreme Being GodShiva’s beautiful messageof becoming ‘Holy andYogi’ because He alone canordain the entire humanity toreturn to its original stage ofpeace, love, wisdom andpurity. Let’s all join in thisnoble spir i tual and divinetransformat ion of g lobalconsciousness for creating abetter and safe world for all ourchildren, sisters, mothers andbrothers.

Om Shanti– B.K. Nirwair

We say Om Shanti: onone side is Baba andon the other side is

our fortune. So, in between whatdo we have to do? We have toremember only Baba.

Baba has said that we haveto make our time worthwhile orelse we will not be happy-hearted. We should also know:Who am I and who is mine? Iam a soul and I belong to theSupreme Father. There isnothing else that “I” and “mine”refers to. We have to go beyondthis world of noise or sound tothe world of peace or silence. Wedo not belong to this world. Weshould have the firm sanskar that‘I am a soul and Baba is mine’.We should have thisremembrance.

We can see that atmospherein Shantivan is very powerful, which means that matter is givingits support. There is nocarelessness seen in theatmosphere here.

We should see if our drishtiand attitude have beentransformed. As is the attitude,so is the vision. We have tobecome Baba’s worthy children.

Baba is taking us forward.

BECOME A WORTHYCHILD – A CONQUEROR

OVER MATTER

This is Baba’s wonder. Hemakes us sit in His plane andwill take us back home. Hesays, “Remember Me andremember the Sweet Home.”We have to go back to ourMetaphysical Home.

How will we go back to ourhome? Baba will take us back.We follow the foot-steps of ourFather; and because we are Hisinstruments of service our feetare not on the ground. This iswhy I say that our feet shouldnot be on the ground because ifthey are, it will take time to gofrom here on the ground to thereabove.

We feel that Baba is enablingus to fly higher up so that wecan go with Him. From the stageof ascending, we are now in theflying stage. No time is requiredat all in the flying stage.

Baba has made me belong toHim and drink the nectar ofknowledge. He has fed meBrahma Bhojan and I have heardthe knowledge through the mouthof Brahma Baba.

He has taught us how to doservice through our mind, wordsand deeds. Our time, thoughtand breath must be kept for best

usage and be engaged inspiritual services. No breathshould go wasted or becomefruitless.

Now, it is the Confluence Age.We have to use our time, thought and breath in aworthwhile way, and, in this way,we have to earn an income.

Wearing the white clothesand having empty pockets, weare the rulers of the globe. Wehave to give Baba’s message tothe world. Everyone’s attentionshould be drawn towards thismessage. We desire that theentire world should come toknow and understand themeaning of “Who am I and whodo I belong to?”

We are easy yogis, theRajyogis. Live with theunderstanding that nothing isdifficult and, then, we should notfeel anything to be difficult. Thisis Baba’s wonder.

I never say that this or that isnot right. To say or think aboutthis is a waste of time. We haveto utilise our energy in a positiveway. We have to make ourenergy fruitful.

The duration of the Eternal World Drama is 5,000 years, called a Kalpa.

We celebrate the 5thAugust, 2018 (1stSunday of August)

as World Friendship Day.Hence, along with wishing ourfriends around, let’s take amoment now to wish a veryHappy Friendship Day to God,our eternal best friend.

It’s seen that the growth anddevelopment of friendship is easybetween or among the same orsimilar people, having commonapproach and characteristics,i.e., those with the same orsimilar age, education, profession, hobby, etc. Hence, the friendship between me andGod is very easy and naturalsince we both are souls, i.e.,points of spiritual energies, having the same original qualitiesof purity, peace, love andhappiness and having the sameaim of benefitting the world.

A friend is one, who is alwaysavailable for us, who we can talkto anytime. In fact, we share allour life’s issues with our bestfriend. Incorporeal God Shiva isthat faithful friend, who will neverdisclose our talks to anyone, who never judges or criticizes us.His love for us is unconditional;it is not based on who we are

and what we’ve done. His love isnot fickle or temporary. Hedoesn’t make promises andthen fail to keep them. He won’tturn on us and reject us. His lovefor us is eternal and everlasting.Further, unlike any human being,

He can stay with us at each andevery moment of our life 24x7.As we begin to talk to God, ourrelationship with Him grows anddevelops and thereby becomesstronger. Keeping friendship withGod is one of the easiestmethods of remaining connectedto Him, through which we canreceive His guidance andexperience His subtle help andsupport at every step.

It’s said that as is ourcompany, so we become.Hence, when we remain in theelevated company of theSupreme, we automaticallyexperience the powerful

vibrations of His purity andpeace, unconditional love, acceptance, encouragementand elevated vision for us, andHis soothing presence makesus free from the worldly worriesand anxieties. Indeed, being inthe company of God, shifts ourfrequency to a very high level, much higher above the pull of alllimits of negative and wastethoughts, and thereby give us apure experience of super-sensuous joy and bliss.

Just as we go near the Ocean,we automatically experience it’scool, soothing and refreshingbreeze without any effort;similarly, going closer to God,the Ocean of virtues, automatically makes usexperience His divine attributesof peace, love and joy withoutany effort.

The best part of this spiritualfriendship is that when we makeGod our best friend, everyonewhom we meet also startbecoming our best friend. Hislove flows into us, and with thatlove, we become love-full forothers, who come in contactwith us. As we get combined withHim, we are infused with love andco-operation for our soul-brothers. When we get colouredin His Divine company, weautomatically share ourattainments with all, our elevatedstate of mind comforts everyonearound, we see everyone as

God Shiva never comes in the cycle of birth, death and rebirth like a human being.

The National flag of GreatBharat unfolds the secretthat human beings could

experience their real freedomand independence only inSatyuga. Are we human beingsreally independent and enjoyingthe life with full freedom on theland of Kaliyuga across theworld? We could easily realisethat all the individuals, either ina family or community or nation, are either dependent orinterdependent on each otherand one another for some orother human needs. While thisis the factual situation over theentire globe, where is theindependence for human beingson the land of Ravan? The realfreedom and independence forthe souls or the human beingsexist either in the Sweet Home(Shanti Dham) or in the heavenlyabode of Satyuga where they arefree from all types of bondages.

The tricolour National flag withthe picture of a wheel at thecentre adopted by great Bharat, popularly known as India, has ameaningful spiritual truth behindit. No other country on the globecan speak about the spiritualmeanings or connotations of thecolours and the designs

India’s National flag representsthe three worlds existing in andbeyond the universe asportrayed in the third lesson ofSeven Days Course imparted bythe B.K. Sisters and Brothers, free of cost at all RajyogaCentres located in different partsof India and abroad as well.Green colour at the bottom

of the flagEach colour has a special

distinct attribute and a specialfeature as well. It is globallyagreeable that green colouralways stands for fertility, verdurecomplete prosperity, agrarianwealth and the flourishing stateof humans endowed withgreenish farms and gardensgifted by Nature. It could beunderstood from BapDada’s

Murli that such a heavenly worldexisted in Bharat, five thousandyears ago when Shree Lakshmiand Shree Narayan reigned overthe entire sovereign empireacross the world, housing theirhead quarter at an amazinggolden palace in the erstwhileIndraprastha called (Paristan)then, which is presently knownas New Delhi, the Capital ofIndia. No one could imagine theunlimited health, wealth andhappiness that prevailed forcenturies in the period or ageknown as the Golden Age(Satyuga).

The cycle of birth, death andrebirth never stops even for awhile as a result of which, thechange will automatically takeplace without waiting for anyoneto get transformed, refined orpurified. According to the cosmicplan of the Eternal World Drama(EWD), the death of Kaliyuga willcongenially give birth toSatyuga. When the ‘Ravan Raj’comes to an end, the ‘Rama Raj’begins to bloom and blossomwith the fragrance of sovereigntypurity, peace, love, prosperity, bliss and happiness.

colour always stands for peaceand purity. All freedom fighters ofIndia, including Mahatma Gandhi,Jawaharlal Nehru and SardarVallabhabhai Patel, wore only thewhite clothes, the symbol of non-violence, and thereby achievedtheir goals of freedom andindependence for India. PrajapitaBrahma Baba and the royal B.K.family members, even during theBritish regime in India, also woreonly the white dresses, and, evennow, the white colour dress codecontinues among the B.Ks. It canbe understood from the keen andclose observation that these menand women, always wearing thewhite costumes, observingcelibacy and purity in food, will benaturally endowed with the eightpowers incorporated in the SevenDays Course, namely (1) Powerto pack up (2) Power to face (3)Power to tolerate (4) Power todiscriminate (5) Power to judge (6)Power to cooperate (7) Power toadjust (8) Power to withdraw.

The white colour externallydenotes the Confluence Age andinternally alludes to the SubtleWorld. The dark imprints ofimpurities in the souls are erasedand reprinted with white or pureand positive sanskars throughSpiritual Knowledge (Gyan) andRajyoga Meditation articulated byGod Father Shiva through the lotusmouth of Prajapita Brahma.

The Ashok Chakra in the middleof the flag reminds us of the WorldDrama Wheel (Shrishti Chakra),

the colour of which has beenimprinted in blue. The unlimitedsky and the ocean are blue incolour, which is predominant in theuniverse. The blue colour standsfor knowledge, the primary qualityof God, called the Ocean ofKnowledge. Since God is theUnlimited One from theperspective of attributes, thespiritual knowledge that Heimparts to the souls of thehumanity out of pure love andcompassion, has no limits andlimitations.Saffron (orange) colour at the

topThe saffron (orange) colour is

nothing but sweet. The orange fruithas the power to transmit thecooling effect to the body. That iswhy the physicians advise thesick, inflicted with heat stroke andfever, to include more of orangefruits in their diet. It reminds us ofthe Sweet Home (Shanti Dham),where peace and coolnesspermanently prevail. God FatherShiva also abides there. Thesaffron (orange) colour stands forrenunciation.

It is to be realized that the roleof God in the Eternal World Drama(EWD) is emphatically differentfrom that of the role of religiousfounder fathers like Abraham,Buddha, Jesus Christ, Mahaveerand Guru Nanak Dev. God’smessengers and prophets cannotplay the paramount role of Godwhose supremacy in all aspectsis unsurpassable and

insurmountable. God’s descenton to the corporeal world takesplace once in five thousand yearsas predestined in the world dramasince He is the highest, whole andsole Almighty Authority, who cantransform the sorrowful mortalworld into the heavenly, happy andimmortal world.

May God bless the readerswith a heavenly life on this earthand inspire them to “Be Holy andRajyogis.”

divine souls, see theirspecialities, and, thus, are ableto accept them as they are andhave the feeling of oneness, unityand compassion. Further, thiselevated state of mind greatlyboosts our work efficiency, increases creativity andenhances our skills, talents andcapacities.

Hence, when we becomedear to God, we automaticallybecome loving and dear toourselves and to all people of thewhole world, who, in turn, alsobless us. And these blessingsfrom all act like a lift, whichbrings happiness andcontentment for us. Making Godour best friend helps uscontribute to His divine task ofworld transformation, therebyenabling us to realise everyone’sdream of seeing the PerfectDivine Land, the illustriousGolden-Aged Satyuga onceagain.

Her Way of Reading MurliHer way of reading Murli in

morning classes was also veryinteresting, inspiring andentertaining as well. She wasreading Murli once or twice andchurning the points of knowledgein it before coming to relate it tothe class. Her way of relating itwas very interesting and inspiringwith tinge of humours also. Itproduced alacrity and dispersedboredom. She also had a habitof using body language withgestures and postures of herhands and head. Sometimes, she also laughed whileexplaining any point ofknowledge in Murli with citing ofexamples. At times, she alsoasked questions to the brothersand sisters in the class abouttheir spiritual efforts they made.In these ways, her way of readingand relating Murli was all themore enlightening as well asinspiring and entertaining as shemade thereby the whole class

alert, enlightened and inspired.A Very Humble Soul

Even though she was theadministrative head of such avast spiritual educationalinstitution of the world, yet shewas a very humble soul. Thesense inordinate ego of post orposition did not touch her mind, heart and soul. It was mostlyobserved that whenever she metany prominent personalities ofnational and international staturelike the religious leader, thePresident and Prime Minister ofIndia or the Secretary General ofthe United Nations Organization(UNO), etc. she used to welcomeand congratulate them with herfolded hands and bowed head. She was, truly and undoubtedly, the embodiment of humility, which is incomparable even now.

This humility was the mostcardinal quality in her fair andunblemished character.

Right Choice of PrajapitaBrahma

The bases or criterions ofselection for any post or positionare individual’s personalqualities, spiritual study, effortsand experiences. Prajapita

Brahma Baba would havepreferred her as the next Chiefof Brahma KumarisOrganization (BKO) due to herqualities of obedience, truthfulness, honesty, integrity, serviceability and managerialability. This was, undoubtedly, his right choice and selection ofher for this post after the expiryand ascension of JagadambaSaraswati (Mamma) to theSubtle World in 1965. No doubt, her prominence, pre-eminenceand par-excellence in qualities, spiritual efforts, service andexperience brought her to thelimelight, and ultimately to thisenviable post. This post wasanother added feather to her cap.She was a leader in makingbecause she had acquired suchleadership qualities through herpersonal spiritual efforts alongwith the incentives andinspirations of the IncorporealGod Father and His corporealinstrument, Prajapita Brahma.

An Able and SkilfulAdministrator

As an able administrator shewas very just and judicious. Sheused to move to everydepartment and listened togrievances and requirements ofall and took perfect decisions tothe satisfaction of all. As a person, she was verysimple, humble, generous, forgiving and also a very smilingself. Her own personal life wasan open book and practicalexample for others to emulateher. After she took over thecharge of administration, thespeed of spiritual serviceincreased greatly due to heradministrative skill and personalnature. Moreover, she alsocontributed to this speed ofservice by visiting manycountries of the world with hermessage of peace, love, andUniversal Brotherhood of Manand Fatherhood of theIncorporeal God, and therebyinfluenced many souls to cometo the organization and changetheir thought and lifestylepatterns according to God’sSupreme Directions (Shreemat). This helped in speedilyestablishing many spiritualcentres/branches both in thecountry and abroad andincreasing the strength of thestudents and followers.

She had developed manyqualities of a mother such aslove, affection, compassion, cheerfulness, forgiveness, help,

cooperation, patience, tolerance, adjustment, caringand sharing, etc. Like a belovedmother, she poured out her loveand affection on all and spirituallynurtured them without anydiscrimination. A jewel has manyfacets, which radiate itsprismatic lights and colours, andshe was more like a prism inshowing her endearing motherlyqualities and abilities even thoughshe was a celibate. Likewise,

she had many parentingqualities and specialties thatflourished in her in a divine familyatmosphere and radiated fromher while coming in interactionwith the various souls, bothdedicated inmates and others. The title of a beloved mother is,undoubtedly, well-fitting andjustified to her dignified andcredit-worthy maternalpersonality as she was theembodiment of many motherlyqualities.Laurels for the Organization

She had travelled to countrieslike USA, Britain, UAE, Australia,Austria, Russia, Japan, Kenya,Belgium, Brazil, Columbia,

France, Spain, Germany, Italy,Ireland, Denmark, Sweden,Holland, Singapore, Sri Lanka, etc. including many states ofIndia and addressed largegatherings for furthering thespiritual service and spreadingthe message of God’s descentupon the earth. She was alsoquite electrifying during hertravel. Anyone, who came to her, felt and got recharged with thespiritual power and vigour. Thesouls forgot their body-consciousness and instantlycame to realize a state of soul-consciousness by coming incontact with her.

She brought many laurels forthe organization and also for her.Due to her benevolentcontribution of service to thehumanity, the United NationsOrganization (UNO) awarded theinstitution with an InternationalPeace Medal in 1985 and it was

also awarded with five NationalPeace Messenger Awards.Personally, she was awardedwith the Peace MessengerAward in 1987. She was alsodecorated with the DharmaRatna Award, and many other

prizes and mementos. She wasalso awarded with the honoraryDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)Degree by Mohanlal SukhadiaUniversity, Udaipur, Rajasthan,India for her incomparable socio-spiritual service to the nation andworld at large.

A Symbol of WomenEmpowerment

She was a fitting symbol ofwomen empowerment. TheBrahma Kumaris Organization(BKO) is a socio-spiritual-cum-educational organization ledmostly by women. As itsAdministrative Chief, she hadinspired many lives of mothers, sisters and children, who wereonce feeling dispirited, dejectedand hopeless. With the power ofher spiritual knowledge andRajayoga, she injected newhope and courage in them andenabled them to stand upontheir own feet and inspired manyof them to surrender their livesfor the service of the humanity. Now, they are engaged in thisservice in almost 4,000branches in 140 countriesabroad including India. When ourcountry lags behind inempowering women, she hasreally empowered them as neverbefore with the power ofcharismatic personality.

A Rare and MagnanimousPerson

Her departure in 2007 hasreally left a vacant place in the

organization. However, herdeparture was an event in variousscenes of the drama. Theorganization is still runningwithout her but her influentialpersonal charisma is still feltlacking. But, even in her physicalabsence, we feel that we are stillfragrant with her spiritualpresence, fostering love and care. She remained decorated with thegarlands of blessings; she wasthe apple of eyes of Bap-Dada;she was a rare and magnanimousperson, who distributed her love, affection, cooperation andbewitching smiles to all evenwhile undertaking herresponsibilities; she gave thegenuine feelings of Brahma Babaand Mamma that she developedin her and was raining downboons and blessings upon all.She was also Baba’s uniquehand in spiritual service, whoalways remained merged in Him;and to such a serviceablelegendary elephantine anddignified Dadi jee, who was everrich in meditative pursuits andspiritual opulence, we offer ourhumblest obedience, thanks andgratefulness in our heart of heart.

The Prakash StambhThough her physical presence

is a great loss in the presentmoment, yet we still feel herspiritual presence as we knowthat she is still playing her roleon the world stage in theAdvanced Party with a different

feature - physical countenance orbody-chariot. It is only areplacement of her role. However,we can repair this loss byinculcating her qualities andspecialties in ourselves andrendering services like her to themillions of still deprived souls.

The Prakash Stambh, built in hermemory, is a great attraction formany souls, and stands as afitting monumental memorial ofher, thereby reminding anddemonstrating symbolically all ofus of her manifold qualities, abilities and specialties and ofher unforgettable contributions tospiritual services to the world atlarge.

She was inspiring all of uswith her Gyan (knowledge),yoga, dharna (inculcation) andseva (service). Her most famousinstructions that she has left forus is: “Nimitta, Nirmana AurNirmal Bhava” (Be trustee, constructive and clean.) If wecan translate this instructivesentence in our practical life, thiswill be a fitting tribute to herunforgettable personality.

Though the ordinary peopleget surprised when othersoften behave in a peculiar

way, the wise and insightful onesknow the fact that people behaveaccording to their sanskar(tendency formed after repeatedaction) and always repeat whatthey have been practising. It wasthis insight that helped Birbal, the Chief Minister of EmperorAkbar, to solve a nearlyimpossible problem.

One ghee merchant hadborrowed 500 gold coins from hiscolleague. But, when it was timeto repay them, he refused to doso and claimed he neverborrowed the money. Themerchant, who had lent themoney, went to Akbar, theEmperor, for justice, who, in turn, assigned Birbal to find a solution.Birbal listened to both sides, thenasked for ten days’ time and sentboth the merchants away. He,then, ordered for 10 tins of oil. Each tin contained 10 kg. of oiland in two of them Birbal put agold coin. Then, he called tenmerchants including those twomerchants involved in the disputeand gave each of them one ofthe tins saying, “Examine this

oil carefully, determine the priceand return them after threedays.” But, he ensured he gavethe two containers with the goldcoins to the two merchantswhose case was pending. Themerchant, who had lent themoney, was an honest man; andas soon as he found the goldcoin, he returned the coin toBirbal. But, his dishonestneighbour found the coin and didnot return it to Birbal. In otherwords, both acted according toeach one’s inner impressions(sanskars), and Birbal easilyproved who was guilty. Thesanskar acting as an invisibleforce behind everyone’s act wasone of the main themes of Jesus’preaching (Mathew 12:35). Themartial arts legend Bruce Leetoo knew that people act out oftheir sanskar, which is notinfluenced by expectations ofother people: “I’m not in thisworld to live up toyour expectations and you’re notin this world to live up to mine.”Ekhart Tolle put the samethought in different wordings: “Ifthe structures of the humanmind remain unchanged, we willalways end up recreating the

same world, the same evils andthe same dysfunction.”

The people with vicioussanskars would show itwhenever opportunity is available.Even after the much publicizeddeath sentence given to the Delhigang-rapists, number of gangrapists did not decrease. That’show sanskar works. Even whenpeople reap what they sow, onlyhumble people take lesson fromit whereas the arrogant becomemore arrogant (which meansexperience does not changesanskar). Bhishma (a characterof The Mahabharat) was thesymbol of such people. In hisprevious birth, he was cursed forstealing a cow that belonged tosage Vashishtha – a habit herepeated more forcefully in hisnext birth by fighting for theKauravas, who stole all the cowsfrom Virat (Virat Parva: 7). Eventhe highly educated people goagainst their knowledge andhave no problem to call “fair isfoul and foul is fair.” For example,in his essay The EconomicPossibilit ies for ourGrandchildren, the greateconomist John MaynardKeynes wrote in 1930, “For atleast another hundred years, wemust pretend to everyone thatfair is foul and foul is fair; for foulis useful and fair is not. Avarice, usury and precaution must beour gods for a little longerstill.”(Keynes and the Ethics ofCapitalism by Robert Skidelsy).

The fact that knowledge andexperience do not have mucheffect on people shows that theywant to go by their sanskar. When you try to share someimportant spiritual points withothers, most people respondsaying: “It is easy to preach.”This is an indirect way of saying“I am not interested” (whichmeans preaching does not havemuch effect on people’ssanskar). Even good examplesdo not have much effect onpeople’s sanskar. For example,Mahatma Gandhi joined politicsfor the benefit of others; yet thislofty example has no effect onothers, who join politics for theirown benefit. The religiousleaders spoke against ego as theroot cause of all humanproblems; yet after their death, the followers continued with theirego and its divisive sanskar.Ironically, people know ego is theroot of all evils and hate it whenit is found in others, yet they loveit when it is found in their ownlife, which means knowledgehas no effect on most of thepeople. Contrary to theexperience, people seekpermanence in impermanence, thereby seeking security in theaccumulation of wealth andrelationships. Germanyremained divided as EastGermany and West Germany for44 years; and, then, showed theexample of reunion; yet this good

example has no effect on othercountries (such as North Koreaand South Korea) that stillremain divided at a very greatcost to themselves. A fewcountries (such as Switzerland)have never taken part in any war,yet this good example has noeffect on other countries. Atleast 108 million people werekilled and many others sufferedother losses in various wars inthe twentieth century alone(http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/06/books/chapters/what-every-person-should-know-about-war.html). And there were263 wars fought during the periodof just 116 years from 1900 A.D.(http://www.war-memorial.net/wars_all.asp).

All this goes to show thatsanskar rules individuals andnations alike. People act/reactas though they were onautomatic mode, recreating themistakes they did in the pastrather than starting afresh in thepresent. The more they repeat, the stronger their sanskarbecomes. No wonder, thecharacter Ravan of the eic, TheRamayan, is shown as having10 heads, which means hefollowed his sanskar as stronglyas though having 10 heads/minds. It fittingly symbolizespeople living in the Kaliyuga, who repeat their vices asstrongly as though each one hasmany minds. Interestingly, the

name Ravan is a combinationof ra (delighted over) and vani(voice/sound); hence, he standsfor all those, who delightfullylisten to their chattering mind, which is externally faced into alldirections, seeking temporarybenefits that come and go;hence, Ravan is also calledMaya, and Ravan is the rulerover people in the second halfof each Kalpa (Murli: 3.10.2017;14.11.2017). India’s great sagePatanjali too knew this. Whenhe defined yoga as “Chitta vrittinirodha” (neutralization of thehabitual motions of thoughts),he obviously implied somethingthat happens cyclically withinone’s self. Because, the wordhe used is vritti (from vrutta =circle), this means thoughtsassociated with ego-centricdesires and attachments. Forexample, the thoughts of “Ineed,” “I want,” “I like,” “I hate”and “I reject ….” (50000-70000thoughts per day) revolveconstantly around the axis ofego like a vortex. Thus, there issomething that happenscyclically within an individual, the result of which is repetitionof sanskar.

What happens to individualshappens to the world history. Itis also like what happens towater: it turns into vapour thatgoes upward when heated, thenflows downward when cooledand becomes like stone when

frozen. In the concluding phaseof each Kalpa (a cycle of 5000years), God, the Almighty, elevates the willing children, teaching them Rajyoga, whichqualifies them to take birth inthe Golden Age. Then, they startdescending in quality throughvarious Ages and become likestone-hearted in the Iron Age,and the cycle repeats. Nowonder, the word for history insome language is calledvruttanta, which is acombination of vrutta (circle)and anta (end). It means historyis cyclic – it starts as new andends as old, and old is madenew again, and it repeatseternally – a thought that isloudly conveyed through thefamous religious teaching of theTrinity found among the Hindus,Christians, Egyptians,Babylonians, Greeks, etc. Inthe Trinity, three gods are shownto be engaged in the action ofCreation, Preservation andDestruction respectively. Itmeans the first half of each cycleis the new world and the secondhalf is the old world. Thus, thereis comfort (Aaram) in the firsthalf of each cycle where thegood sanskars generated byGod, the Supreme Soul (ParamAtma), the embodiment ofvirtues, rule over people, andthere is suffering in the secondhalf where evil sanskarsgenerated by Ravan, the

embodiment of vices, rule overpeople (Murli 17.11.2017). Sincethe memory of what happensduring the concluding period ofeach cycle (also calledConfluence Age) is carriedforward to next cycle, the wordfor comfort becomes Aaram (aa= come + Rama = Supreme Soul(Param Atma), which meansthat humans experience realcomfort only at the coming ofGod, who trains them how toconquer over Ravan , thesymbol of vices; and thisconquest over vices makesthem qualified to inherit theGolden Age.

Those, who want to replacetheir old sanskar of vices withnew sanskar of virtues, can doso by learning Rajyoga, whichour Supreme Father Shiva Babais teaching at this ConfluenceAge. In Rajyoga, one goes

beyond vani (sound) to the landof nirvana (place without sound)where Supreme Soul resides, and also imbibes qualities fromHim. This gives one the powerto replace those cyclicalmovements of thought-energyin one’s ego with elevatedthoughts such as “I am a soul(Atma), made of qualities suchas knowledge, purity, joy, love, peace, power and bliss, whichhave their source in theSupreme Soul (Param Atma)Shiva Baba; hence, one mustremain in constantremembrance of God, theSupreme Soul, to see everyoneas the soul (Atma), the child ofGod, to always be linked withHis qualities and, thus, to leada simple and spiritual life ofpeace, purity, prosperity, stability and serenity.”

DETERMINED THOUGHTSDetermined thoughts disperse the clouds of negativesituations. A lot of negative situations are bound to come inour way, resulting in grief, pain and disappointment. At thattime, such difficulties are felt to be insurmountable and seemto last forever. I need to recognise that the difficulties I faceare like passing clouds. These clouds that gather around meat times, are only temporary - sooner or later they will fadeaway. Understanding that no problem lasts forever will helpme develop the determination I need to work on myproblems. I will, then, be able to face any situation withease and without tension.

We cannot deny thesignificance ofemotions in human

life. Emotions are a part of aperson’s being that are highlyoverlooked. Emotions alwaysinvolve the working of body, mindand spirit. They play a veryimportant role in all the three“entities” and have the power totransform something intonothing. If used properly, theemotions can be a catalyst forchange and a hidden forcebehind manifestation andcreativity. When we are out ofbalance in our emotions, it canwreak serious havoc, not only onourselves, but also on the peoplearound us.

Many people believe that out-of-control emotions can causedisease and pain, plus it can tearapart important relationships. Therefore, it’s very important toaddress and clear out stucknegative emotions, suppressedfeelings of anger, pain, guilt orshame, for maintaining goodrelationship and living a healthyemotional life.

Modern education is notdealing with the ‘hygiene of

But in this eraof internet and social mediawhere illusion has become areality, people have once againbegun to realize the importanceof spirituality in managingemotions and feelings.Spirituality can take us closer toself-realization and increasedself-esteem, which leads to self-compassion and which isnecessary to commandemotional health.

Emotions are an importantaspect of our consciousness;therefore, it will be useful toinvestigate as to which part ofthe brain is involved in theirarousal or manifestation, for thatwill take us to the location ofconsciousness or soul itself.Emotions form a major factor ofone’s personality and behaviourand the latter have their sourcein cognitive sides of mind; so,the study of the parts of the braininvolved in emotionalexteriorization will help us tracethe seat of the soul of which themind is a component.

Let us consider the wholemechanism of emotion

exteriorization from anotherangle, comparing it with abicycle or a motor car. Themechanism of exteriorization isof two kinds – (i) Facilitatory and(ii) Inhibitory. The first onefacilitates the manifestation ofthe former and can be comparedto the pedals, the flywheel, thechain, etc., of the bicycle andthe other can be compared to itsbreaks. Now, let us consider thesituation in which the rider of amoving bicycle suddenly findsthat someone is crossing theroad just a few feet away and infront of him. He immediatelyapplies the brakes to come to ahalt. Now, the pedals, theflywheel, etc., are all in a stateof motion but someone on thesaddle, realizing the dangerahead, decides to stop theirmotion and, therefore, appliesthe brake mechanism. Withouthis doing that, the brakesthemselves would not have comeinto action to stop the motion.Likewise, the very existence ofthe two kinds of mechanism -facilitatory and the inhibitory -leads us to believe that there isan entity, who decides to applyeither of the two kinds ofmechanism itself, similar to therider in the case of the bicycle. Moreover, the cycle is meant totake the rider to a destinationand so is the body which is justa mechanism meant forachieving a purpose. So, fromthis analogy, we come to theconclusion that there is ametaphysical entity, called the

soul, in the brain, which uses thefacilitatory or inhibitorymechanism of the body and itsvarious systems for achieving apurpose.

In the light of this, it should beclear that it is the soul, whichbecomes corrupt and degradebecause of its negative emotionsand it is also the soul, which getspurified and elevated and, thus, experiences peace and bliss.

In order to remedy the negativeemotions and situations in life, one has to practise RajyogaMeditation. Meditation or yoga isa process of conscious care ofone’s inner being. As onebecomes aware of one’s identityof being a soul, a conscient being,he/she is no longer bothered bythe labels of gender, age, caste, nationality, qualification, socialstatus, etc.

Rajyoga Meditation is themethod and practice, whichenables one to transcend body-consciousness and to stabilize inthe awareness of self and controlits emotions, thereby enablingone to achieve self-rule. This freesthe self or soul of all morbidthoughts and psychopathologicalstates and gives it purity andlasting peace. It frees the mindfrom the wrong notion that peaceand happiness lie in gross thingsof the world, and thereby gives thepractitioner of meditation anexperience of lasting peace andhappiness. In this way, self-rule(Swaraj) improves the emotionalhealth.

In the Eternal World Drama(EWD) of l ife, manypersonalities while playing

their roles in it come to thisworldly stage and also go awayfrom this stage during thepassage of time. Many of themare dead and have passed intooblivion. But, only a chosen fewstill continue to remain ever freshand memorable in the memoryof the people even though theyhave already left the stage of theworld. The departed DadiPrakashmani was one of suchchosen memorablepersonalities, as she hasremained still unforgettable dueto her magnificent qualities anda lot of contributions she hasmade to the field of spiritualservices.

to anybody who comes to meether. It is due to this quality, shewas also deeply loved by oneand all both from the nation andabroad. I t cannot beexaggerated to say that shewas the apple of all eyes.Dadi was Called Kumarka

Though she loved one and allequally yet she had speciallove for Brahma Kumar brothersin her heart because sheconsidered them as the righthands of Brahma Baba andShiva Baba in being theresponsible instruments of thesocio-spiritual services of theworld. The Brahma Kumarbrothers leave no stoneunturned to fulfil the dream ofboth the corporeal father andIncorporeal Father, who haveestablished this institution totransform human beings/soulsinto deities and establish theGolden Age of Heaven. It is dueto their hard working efforts, renunciation, meditation andservice of the brothers, she haddeveloped a soft corner in herheart for them, and that is whyshe was endearingly calledKumarka (of Kumars).

God Shiva teaches the human souls to become incorporeal, egoless and viceless.

Possessor of Many QualitiesTo her credit, she was a

possessor of many qualities andabilities, which made her uniqueamong the mill ions of thespiritual children of God FatherShiva. She had developed to agreater degree the qualities andabilities of love, cooperation, compassion, forgiveness, charity, commitment, renunciation, service, faith, courage, tolerance, introspection, contemplation, etc. These qualities made her cometo the limelight and thereby sheattracted the attention of BrahmaBaba, who finally chose her todischarge the duty andresponsibility of the Chief of theBrahma Kumaris Institution afterJagadamba Saraswati, whopassed away in the year 1965.

Unique Protector andServer of Yagya

She was completely devotedand dedicated to the spiritualservice of the Yagya. All humanbeings who transform their lifefrom their earlier Shudrasanskars to Brahmin sanskarsnaturally become the protectorsand servers of the Yagya. But,Dadi was the unique protectorand server of the Yagya in thesense that her whole life from thebeginning to her departure wasa marvelous example of Yagyaservice. She was engaged in thisservice in her thoughts, words, actions, manners andbehaviours. In fact, she was anauthority in performing various

Yagya activities in accuratedetails and proved herself as theunique protector and server ofthe Yagya and is, therefore, everremembered for her service in itslong history even to presentdate.

Exemplary Model ofInspiration

She was an exemplary modelof inspiration for others. Infollowing her daily routine fromearly in the morning up to thetime to go to bed in the night, she was quite punctilious infollowing the Divine Directions(Shreemat). In all the foursubjects - knowledge, meditation, inculcation of divinevirtues and spiritual service - shewas exemplary and accurate toa great extent. That is why shebecame an ideal model ofinspiration, emulation andimitation by millions of sisters, mothers, daughters, brothers notonly of this spiritual institutionand but also of many others ofthe outside world.

It is due to this inspiringpower she could transmit thespiritual knowledge throughoutthe world, open many servicecentres in various parts of theglobe and hoisted the flag of GodFather Shiva, and, thus, becamethe torch-bearer to disperse thedarkness of ignorance of manyhuman souls. She alsomanaged these service centreswith her managing skills, talents,

powers and abilities on the basisof Supreme Divine Directions(Shreemat).

A Cheerful SelfShe was a cheerful self, and

this was very clearly reflected in

her talks, manners, behaviourswhile she was in interaction withthe divine family members as wellas the outsiders, who came tomeet her. She was theembodiment of spiritual smile. Her smiles had miles to go andcould create smiles in lips of themany, who remained everdepressed and had never evensmiled for years together. Sheinstilled life, cheers and smilesin them by the motivating powerof her knowledge, meditation andservice. It is rightly said that acheerful and smiling person cando more service through his/herinstant silent vibrations than aperson making hours of verbalsounding speeches.A Magnanimous Personality

She was a very generous andmagnanimous person as shefirmly believed in giving. She wasgoing on giving whatever - be itknowledge, qualities, powers, virtues and values - she had

achieved in the spiritualeducational institution. She gaveall without expecting anything inreturn from them as she had agreat faith in the dictum: Givingis taking. She used to say thatif one goes on giving to others,he/she will be given in multi-foldreturns by none other than GodHimself, who is the real Giver,Bestower and Benevolent One.Actually, by giving, one neverdoes become poorer; rather onebecomes richer due to the boonsand blessings of those, who getor receive what one gives tothem.Dadi Still Lives in the Heart

of AllIt is an undeniable fact that

Dadi Prakashmani ever lives inthe hearts and minds of most ofus because she is still ever alivethrough her gloriouscontributions even though shehas left her mortal coil in 2007.Her spirit is alive and continuingdoing spiritual services byjoining in the Advanced Party. We have been much inspired, influenced and benefited by herideas, ideals, works, activities, qualities and abilities. As a student of Ayurveda,I often hear in ourdiscussions of disease

Aspart of our clinical training, weare asked to visit the patientsadmitted in our hospital, interactwith them, examine their illnessand learn from them the patternof illness and the principles oftreatment. During one suchoccasion, I met a womansuffering from a chronic skindisease. She was aseptuagenarian, suffering fromthe painful disease for over adecade. Due to her disease, shehad already undergone severalsufferings of the whole body ingeneral, with ulcers on her legsthat would bleed and hurt soterribly that she would end upcrying in pain. She was frail, notinterested in food or sleep, disturbed, irritable and ever sofrustrated.

to sound too authoritative orpreachy, I gave her a gentlesuggestion of cheering up. I toldher from what I was taught: Halfthe illness would vanish just withgood, positive and inspirationalthoughts. She shrugged it away, saying that she has heard a lotof it and that such statementsare just nice to say but notpractical in real life when asituation occurs. I understoodthat she was no more interestedin conversing and left her alone. But, it is to such people that weneed to tell about Louise Hay.

Louise Hay (October 8, 1926– August 30, 2017) was not aborn legend. She was acommon citizen of the world, justlike you or me. But, through herinspirational life, she went on tobeing dubbed as “the closestthing to a living saint” by theAustralian media.

Her childhood was unstableand impoverished. Herupbringing was tormented andher teen years were marked byabuses. Louise ran away fromhome and ended up in New YorkCity, where she became a modeland married a prosperousbusinessman. Everythingseemed to have improved, but it

was not until the marriage ended14 years later that her healingreally began. She started herstudies at the Science of MindChurch in New York City. Here, she studied the works of authorslike Florence Scovel Shinn, whoclaimed that positive thinkingcould change people’s materialcircumstances, and ErnestHolmes, who taught that positivethinking could heal the body.About five years later, in 1977,she wrote her own book HealYour Body. She also studiedabout Transcendental Meditation(TM) from the works of MaharishiMahesh Yogi at the MaharishiInternational University inFairfield, Iowa.

Around the period of 1977-78(aged about 51 or 52), she wasdiagnosed of cervical cancer. After self-analysis, she came tothe conclusion that the onset ofthis disease happened becauseshe held on to her resentmentat her childhood abuse and rape. She put her philosophies intopractice. She put her foot downand refused conventionaltreatment. She began a regimeof the value of forgiveness, coupled with therapy, nutrition, reflexology, and occasionalcolonic enemas. She claimed inan interview that she rid herselfof the cancer by this method;but, while swearing to its truth, she admitted that she hadoutlived every doctor, who couldconfirm this story. By 1984, she

Louise Hay died in her sleep on the morning ofAugust 30, 2017 at age 90, after about 40 years ofhappy healthy cancer-free life. Her life story iscertainly the best example to be quoted to anyone, who feels that positivity is just a matter of preachingand not something that can be practically followed. She indeed lived up to her affirmation, “I go beyondbarriers to possibilities”.

Yes, positivity is possible. Yes, positivity isscientific. Yes, positivity is true. All it takes is apositive thought - not momentary, but consistent. And that positive thought becomes the way of lifeand inspiration for others to live with hope in spiteof illness and disease. And that way of life willcertainly heal every cell of the body. This is such apositive and inspirational thought: “Life is good, andso it is!” - Louise Hay

Most people do notrealise that they wearred shoes and have a

bright red nose like a clown. Wemust learn to live an internal lifebut not the life full of externalshow like that of a clown withred shoes and red nose withoutreward in a circus where peoplelaugh at him thinking he is a fool.

It’s simple: if you do not wishto be treated and seen as aclown, you need to stop actinglike one. You need to take controlof your mind and its thinkingprocess. Only when you developyour self-discipline and self-respect and stop beingextroverted, can you becomethe Ringmaster of your life.

The Spiritual Whip of LifeDo you own and carry a whip

of happiness? Most peopleunknowingly carry the whip ofsorrow and use it on themselvesevery day.

The spiritual whip of life isinvisible and so is its working. With this whip you can whipyourself into shape and becomehappy, loving and rathercontented and walk of life withgreat peace in your shoes.People have no such spiritualwhip of life or whip of spirituality

that can whip them back intoshape. Only when you truly wantpeace and to be a better personwill the spiritual whip appear infront of you as if by magic.

The wise people will live withspirituality and face life withtruth. So, when someone laughsat them behind their back, it willnot affect them and when theyturn round, people will see themonly smiling.

As happiness is the greatestgift in life, it’s also a wonderfuladvert, reminder and beacon tothose that try and hurt you thatthey must be very unhappy.

Reawaken Your QualitiesAs we go deeper within

ourselves and look for the thingswe want in life – peace, love andhappiness, the more chanceswe have of finding them. The factthat you want them means youonce had them. So, it’s just acase of re-awakening thosequalities and specialties andletting them grow big and strongas they once were. Just as youtry to reawaken your qualities;and, likewise, try to awaken yourfriends to a new life.

You need to get your peaceand love out of the loft if you wanta peaceful and loving life. As a

child, did you have baby bootsand grew out of them and theygot put away in the loft? Whenyou remember these boots andgo searching for them and whenyou find them, do you have tothink if they belong to you? Youwould not question if the bootsare yours and that they stillbelong to you. They might havebeen long forgotten but once inyour hand, they are part of youand your life again. So, it is withyour qualities, virtues, specialties, and values likepeace and love.

Now, you need to reawakenall the forgotten and latentqualities within you, so that theycan come back to life. Ifnecessary, you can travel backin time and think of the gloriousdays when you were full of peaceand love. Get lost in the goodtimes of your past and let it re-emerge today and let it becomepart of you again.

You always have the choiceof wearing your baby boots(virtues and qualities full ofinnocence) that were once full oflove and peace, or to put on youreveryday hobnail boots of today, which cause you to walk with alimp, get sore feet and make youforget how great you once were. These hobnail boots have thehabits of always taking you inthe wrong direction and, attimes, even against yourconscious wishes. Simplicity – The Key toHappiness

Simplicity holds the treasuresto all you ever wanted anddreamt of. The trouble now is:modern life acts as a blindfoldthat stops you seeing what isreally good for you. Simplicity isa forgotten and invisible key thathangs around your neck andthis alone opens the door tohappiness. Materialism, wealthand fame and being consumedwith body-consciousness are allone-way keys that cannot openany doors to goodness but, instead, lock those doors andlock you out.

Everyone wants happiness yeteveryone also carries around withthem the key that locks them outfrom that very happiness. If yourkey (life) was the key tohappiness, then you’d be veryhappy right now. The reason youare unhappy is that your key isthe wrong key which will not openthe door of happiness. You endup hitting your head against theonly door that leads to thehappiness you want. And whatwill that head banging achieve?Only a headache. Only you canopen your door to yourhappiness if you wish.

World of False ShadowsRare is the one that chases

after God and His virtues. The

world chases endlessly after theillusions that they gain wealthand satisfaction from and throughtheir bodies.

We all lead a life where falsepromises are given, but it’s alltoo common to be fooled. Peoplewill offer you the world until theyhave secured your money in theirpocket and then they show youthe door. It’s a world of falseshadows where body is totalmaster that rules the world andis the ultimate king.

The shadow of the body-consciousness is always dark. The shadow of vices makes allunhappy as it casts the shadowof misery over all souls andclouds the clarity of all minds.

The Real You is the SoulYou really don’t have to look

at the clock on the wall whenyou’re wearing a watch. Do youforget that you are the soul andthat you have a body? Everyonethinks they are nothing but body.

You have a body but that bodyis not you. The real you is insideyou - the soul, a conscient point-of-light. The mind, intellect andimpressions (sanskars) are the

inner faculties of the soul. Is yourmind a garden of light or gardenof fight? The people, who burytheir jewels and money ingarden of their mind, will have toeat raw onions and garlics andsmell like them. Those, whowear the jewels of peace and loveand eat fruit, will smell like theflowers.

Are you guilty of looking atyour body time and againthroughout the day? When youlook at your body and at otherpeople’s bodies, it will always beat the expense of your soul.Giving attention to falsehoodcauses your soul to wilt. If youforget to water a plant, it wilts. Ifyou ignore the fact that you area soul and do not feed yourspiritual mind the right food andgive it your attention, it too, willgrow weak and wilt.

If you focus on what you feelyou really want in life and onlylook within yourself for it, it’smost likely you already have itwithin you. And who can denyyou having that which yourightfully own and has been inyour possession forever?

Everyone should get backwhat rightfully belongs to them. You will need to work hard andpay great attention to get it backas life is a struggle with ahundred distractions every dayto pull you away from achievingyour goal, if you let it.

FILL YOUR MINDBEFORE YOUR MIND

FILLS YOU!

What is Mind?Mind is the thinking faculty of

the soul in which the thoughtsoriginate. The best analogy forMind is the Ocean; as there arecontinuous waves rising in anocean, similarly, thoughts keeprising in the mind. Just as thepatterns and shapes of thewaves depend upon variousconditions like wind, atmospheric pressure, gravitational force and underwaterdisturbances; in the same way,our thoughts are also createddue to various inputs, externalas well as internal.

How does it work? The functioning of mind mainly

works or happens in two ways:The “Outside In” approach, wherein thoughts are createddue to various external sensoryorgan inputs; and the “InsideOut” approach, wherein thethoughts are generated throughthe intelligence gathered from thedatabase of experiences that arerecorded in the memory, alsocalled ‘Sanskaras ’ or‘Personality traits’.

The resultant output is thecombination of both the

“Conscious mind andSubconscious mind” workingcontinuously in tandem, whichdecides the personality of aperson.

Bhogi approach Vs YogiApproach

The person with “body-conscious” oriented approachshall be driven by the externalinputs generated by the sensoryorgans; such a person is calleda “Bhogi”, who is happy to spendhis time and resources, indulgingin sensual pleasures, in thepursuit of happiness, which isbut an illusion. This will give riseto a personality, which isrestless, anxious, with lots ofmood swings, incoherence, impatience and unstablementality.

While the person with “soul-conscious” oriented approachshall be driven by the thoughtsarising from his innate nature.Such a person shall be moreinclined to hear the inner voice,be more introverts and open tolearning and not be governed bythe external influences andattractions. It is this approachthat shall lead him to be morehumble, simple, serene, contented, centred, focused withmore control over his thoughts, words and actions; and, hence,he is called a “Yogi”.

The purpose of our lives is notjust about fulfilling our dailyneeds and wishes, just as otherspecies on the planet do, but to

contribute our energies to agreater cause beyond self. We,as human beings, have beensuperior to all other speciesbecause our strength lies in ourpower of thinking, imagining andanalysing, which is not possibleon the part of the other species. The challenge of our presenttimes is to convert our strengthsinto a purpose. This is possibleonly if we become soul-conscious and create thoughtsof our original nature of love, peace and purity.

Check and ChangeIt is through ‘Rajyoga

Meditation’ that we begin tocontemplate on certainquestions like: What is going onin my mind? When I feelnegative, what do I think and do?Do I stop for one minute’smeditation every hour to controlthe ‘traffic’ of the mind? Do I stayin the present moment andremain mindful of the quality ofmy actions? What do I feel aboutmyself today? Do I changenegative thoughts about myselfinto positive ones? How do I seeothers? Do I always have goodthoughts about other people ordo I create critical or judgementalthoughts based on pastexperiences? Such checkingbrings about a permanentchange. How to fill your mind before

your mind fills you?Practising the State of Soul-

Consciousness: By sitting insilence and observing the self asa conscient point-of-light soul(Atma), we dive into the depthsof solitude, into our innerconsciousness. This processhelps us recognize our originalsanskaras of peace, altruisticlove and compassion, contentment and harmony; andthereby connects the soul withthe Supreme Soul, the Ocean ofall divine virtues and source ofall divine powers.

The company you keepdetermines your immediatestate of mind: Your consciousmind takes inputs from yoursurroundings, it may be thepeople accompanying you or thethings that keep youpreoccupied. Always be in thecompany of people, who arerighteous, proactive, self-motivated, and constantly striveto progress on spiritual path.

God, our Supreme Father,Teacher and Preceptor(Satguru), is the perfectCompanion; hence, we mustpractise being in His sweetcompany while performing anytask. ‘He is not just theSupreme Soul; He is my Father,my Teacher, my True Guide andmy Friend.’ Keeping companywith Him brings transformationin the self. We must not wastetime in getting caught up inconcerns about the body, peopleor the world. We have to pay

attention to yoga; and, then, wewill receive strength. This willmake our karma elevated, selfless and divine. As weconnect to the Supreme, we areable to absorb the spiritualenergy in its purest form fromGod. It flows into our sanskarasand changes the sanskara ofnegative thinking into positiveone. Practice of Yoga is simple:“I am a soul, a child of God, theSupreme Soul; with this thoughtin mind and intellect, connectthe soul with Him.” This givesus the power to change oursanskaras.

Rakhis are animage of adoration and fondnessof sisters for their dearestbrothers and other siblings. Thebrothers and siblings, moreover, comprehend the genuinesignificance of Rakhi, and abrother by expanding his wristforward, he guarantees to shieldhis sister from all hardships ofher life. gifts for their brothers andsiblings. At the end of the day,Raksha Bandhan is anequivalent word of adoration andemotions that are shared by thebrothers, sisters, siblings andkins.

What is Rakhi? The term ‘Rakhi’ refers to a

sacred thread of love andprotection, which the sister isused to tie on the wrist of herbrother. She expresses throughthis her love for her brother, putupon his forehead a tilak of ricemixed with vermilion and feedhim some sweets to sweeten hismouth; and in return of her love, the brother swears to help herin, and protect her from, anyuntoward happenings, circumstances and situations inlife. In some sections of society, the Priests or Brahmins tie thesacred of thread of Rakhi on thewrists of people, but it is almostcommon in all sections ofsociety that sisters usually tiethe thread of Rakhi to shower herlove upon brothers on theoccasion of Raksha Bandhanupon brothers’ wrists, put tilakupon their foreheads and

sweeten their mouths in returnof which the brothers promise toprotect or come to the rescue ofthe sisters in times of unforeseencircumstances or times ofdangers and difficulties, trialsand tribulations, odds andoddities that happen in the pathof her life. The celebrationscontinue throughout the day withfamilies reuniting and doing funactivities together, and withhappiness spread all around. Thesiblings, who are living away fromeach other and one another, send their wishes through phoneor email and Rakhi is sentthrough the Rakhi cards. In thisway, Rakhi represents as thesacred symbol of their mutualreciprocation of love andprotection, spirituality and purityin relationships.

The Legendary RakshaBandhan

There are various legendsassociated with the festival andfestivities of Raksha Bandhanand it also finds a prominentmention in The Mahabharata. One such legend is the legendof Queen Karnavati and EmperorHumayun. According to theIndian medieval history, QueenKarnavati of the Rajput Kingdom,Chittor, had sent a Rakhi toHumayun, the Mughal Emperorof Delhi, seeking his helpagainst the oppression ofBahadur Shah of Mewar.Emperor Humayun knew aboutthe significance of Rakhi in the

Hindu community; hence, heaccepted her request to protectQueen Karnavati.

The other is the popularlegend of King Bali and GoddessLakshmi. According to thislegend, Lord Vishnu wasimmensely pleased with hisdevotee King Bali; and, thus, granting him a boon ofimmortality, He promisedheavenly protection for hiskingdom. In order to fulfill hispromise, Lord Vishnu left hisabode Vaikunthdham and cameto stay with King Bali. SoonGoddess Lakshmi also visitedKing Bali on the ShravanPoornima day being disguised asa poor Brahmin lady and tiedRakhi on his wrist. When KingBali tried to offer her somepresent, she revealed her trueidentity and asked the King tosend Lord Vishnu back with herto Vaikunthdham.

Another is the legend of Yama(the god of death) and Yamuna. This legend states that on everyShravan Poornima day Yamunaused to tie a sacred thread onYama’s wrist. Yama was somoved by the serenesignificance of this custom thathe declared it as a boon thatwhosoever gets a Rakhi tied onhis wrist from his sister andpromised her protection, it willbecome fructified anddemonstrated as her protectionin the true sense of the term.

Since then the ritual of tying of asacred thread, Rakhi, on thewrist of brothers is celebratedwith much fervour all over thecountry. Since then RakshaBandhan festival celebrates theeternal bond between brothersand sisters all over the country.

As per the Hindu calendar, thefestival of Raksha Bhandhan, which celebrates the sacredrelationship between a brotherand a sister, falls on full moonday (Poornima) of Shravanamonth – the month of August. Itis a Hindu festival, popularlyknown as ‘Rakhi’, which will beobserved this year on the 26thof August, 2018. The festival ofRaksha Bandhan is primarilyobserved in India and is alsocelebrated in all Hindu Diaspora/communities all over the world.Despite being a Hindu festival, people from other religions andcommunities too enjoy thefestivities and celebrations. Thedates of the Raksha Bandhanfestival vary every year becauseof the fact that it is based onHindu calendar and Hinducalendars are based on the SolarCycle. It is one of India’s mostjoyous and fun-filled festival, which promotes the message ofunconditional love and affectionshared between the siblings.Rakhi is an emphatic emblem oflove and protection. The sacredthread of Rakhi acts to bindbrothers and sisters in a pure and

spiritual relationship and it alsointends to signify a harmoniousrelationship among the people ofall religions, cultures andlanguages irrespective of theirouter physical diversities, thereby developing unity, integrity and peaceful co-existence among them.

Raksha Bandhan - A Monsoon Festival

As a festival of monsoon,Raksha Bandhan has a deepermeaning in the sense thatmonsoon season is the besttime to get sufficient rain water, and the rainy season eliminatesall the dirts and complexities oflife as a principle of purgation ofhuman souls, and presents allwith the new vision, hope andprosperity to enjoy life to itsbrimful. That is why the Hindusconsider the month of Shravanas a holy one to celebrate thepure bond of love between thesiblings and arrival of goodfortune.

The ceremony of ‘Shravani’,organized on the day of RakhiPurnima, has a specialsignificance for the farmercommunities of different parts ofIndia, and the farmers of theStates like Jharkhand, MadhyaPradesh, Chhattisgarh and Biharworship the gods like Indra, thegod of rains, and Varun, the godof water, and also Soil for itsfertility. A good harvestingseason depends on adequate

rain water, which monsoonprovides for farming activities.

Raksha Bandhan festival hasalso greater significance for thefishing communities of India, andthe fishermen families of Stateslike Maharashtra, Goa, Gujaratand Karnataka observe thecelebration of Rakhi festival or‘Nariyal Purnima ’ throughdifferent rituals. They completelydepend on the sea for theirlivelihood. The monsoon seasonhas a positive effect on sea wateras well as on fish. Therefore, these people celebrate thisfestival to please these deitiesand the ocean by offering themcoconuts (Nariyal) on this eventfor their better earning prospectand peaceful, prosperous andhappy life.

Raksha Bandhan Marks AChange and New Beginning

The rainy season of Shravanalso indicates a drastic change.Change or transformation/alteration is necessary to pavethe way for a forthcoming newone. So, the Brahmincommunities in the states ofAndhra Pradesh, Kerala, TamilNadu and certain parts of Odishaobserve the day of ShravanPurnima as ‘Upakamam/Upakarma’ and on that day theychange their threads (Janeyu)worn upon their bodies.

The season of monsoon alsosignifies destruction anderadication of all unwanted

elements from nature and fromhuman lives that areunnecessary and have no usageand for paving the ways for arrivalof new ones. It, thus, also marksa new beginning of the advent ofpeace and prosperity, health andhappiness. This is why thepeople of Gujarati communitiescelebrate ‘Pavitropana’ throughworshipping Lord Shiva, theNataraj - the symbol ofdestruction, on the day ofShravan Purnima, and prayingHim for a prosperous future onthis special occasion.

Significance of the term‘Holiness’ or ‘Purity’

It is largely observed thatwomen and girls, who representthe fair sexes in the society, areunfairly treated in our male-dominated society. They arebeing inhumanly treated by malemembers in the devilish forms ofrape, abduction, torture, harassment, molestation andmurder under the influence ofvicious male tendencies, andare, in these ways, put tounprecedented hardships andtroubles and become deprived oftheir basic human rights. Malesgo on roving and ravishing theinnocent fair sexes in order tosatisfy their unquenched thirstfor sex and sensuality. Invillages, cities, towns and bigmetropolitan and cosmopolitancities like the capital cities, increasing cases of rape,

abduction, torture, harassment, molestation and murder arereported in the daily newspapers, which highlight the shamelessdetails of the inhuman male actsupon the half of the populationof females, who are called half-partners or the better halves(Ardhangini) of the males in ourIndian society and also othersocieties of the world.

In modern days of rankmaterialism, sensuality andprevalence of seven deadly viceslike sex-lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego, indolence andjealousy, when there is theutmost deprivation of basichuman rights of fair sexes, thereis a great significance of thefestival of Raksha Bandhan, which is also associated with theterm ‘Holiness’ or ‘Purity’. Peopleare advised and instructed toobserve purity and holiness in thetheir minds or thoughts (man),words (vachan), deeds (karma),visions (drishti), attitudes (vritti)by changing the state of theirbody-consciousness to soul-consciousness.

Redefinitionof Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan is not onlylimited or confined to thephysical protection of a sister bya brother. It is also redefined asthe sacred thread of spiritualprotection of soul from Satan/Devil/Ravan/Maya, who representseven deadly sins and vices like

sex-lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego, indolence andjealousy, and other negativetendencies in human beings(souls). It can also be redefinedas the sacred tie that unties fromall types of physical attachments[Bandhan (Tie or Bondage)] todetachments Nirbandhan[(Bondage-free or Freedom)],which enables the soul to fly likea free bird being free from thecage of the body and feelliberated from sins and vices, born out body-consciousness.

God’s Directions onFastening of Rakhi

According to the versions ofThe Geeta, whenever religion

declines GodFather Shivadescends downupon the earth toprotect the soulsfrom the Satanic

and Devilish elements throughHis spiritual knowledge andtraining of Rajyoga meditation.Rajyoga meditation is the mentaland spiritual link or reunion of thesoul with God Father Shiva, theSupreme Soul. This knowledgeand meditation enable the soulsto realize their true and originalspiritual identity and to recognizetheir Incorporeal SupremeSpiritual God Father. God FatherShiva, who is the ever holiest ofthe Holy, teaches the souls anddirects them to observe purity orcelibacy in physical relationship

and in thoughts, words andactions. He also promulgates theSupreme Ordinance – “Be Holyand Be Yogi” – in the SangamYuga, called the Amritvela, themeeting point of auspiciousnectarine time between the endof Kaliyuga and the advent ofSatyuga. God Father, who is theOcean of Knowledge, theLiberator and Redeemer of allsouls, throws adequate light onthe term ‘holy’ by emphasizingupon its three meanings andadvising the souls to inculcatetheses meanings in life andbehaviour in order to be holy orpure in true sense of the term. These three meanings are: (i) Beholy = Be pure (Pavitra Bano);(ii) holi(ya) = past is past (Joholiya, so ho liya); (iii) ho-lee = I

teaches the spiritual knowledgeand training of Rajyogameditation to all souls free ofcost through Prajapita BrahmaKumaris Ishwariya VishwaVidyalaya (PBKIVV) in its 4,000branches in 140 countriesincluding India, it is only one’spersonal spiritual efforts andoath taking to be holy and yogi, which really comes to help oneto inculcate holiness practicallyin life and behaviour whileinteracting with other souls.Really, one achieves what he/she wishes and makes effortsfor it (Jo karega, so payega).

Occasionally we forget how fortunate we are to have thefreedom of choice: liberty to express our desires, chooseour friends, clothes, religion, music, food, careers, part-ners, etc., while a significant part of our world is obliviousto the same. But are we really living a life of indepen-dence? Or does my mind become suffocated at timeswith unproductive thinking? Can I select goldenthoughts of positivity, inspiration, determination, loveetc as I wish? True freedom and self-respect cannot bebestowed externally by God, fate or any human being. Itbegins with me liberating myself from unworthy thinking, thereby empowering my words, actions and character foran admirable life and future.

“Why Me?” is the firstquestion a person asks whenhe/she encounters a problem orwhen any tragedy strikes him/her, because he/she alwaysexpects good to happen ever inlife. Somewhere along the way, like this person, we havebecome convinced that lifeshould be all good, all the time.God is good; so, life should beever good and fair. Therefore, whenever anything bad orsuffering happens, we take itpersonally or individually andcome up with the protestingquestion: “Why is thishappening to me?”

Arthur Ashe was a top tennisplayer of his time. While at thepeak of his career, he wasdetected with a fatal disease, which was disheartening. Hereceived sympathetic letters fromhis fans from all over the world. But, one of them asked him,“Why you? How could God dothis to you?”

To which, Arthur replied, “Morethan 50 million children take uptennis. Less than 5 million getbasic coaching. Only 10% ofthose 5 million learn professional

tennis. Less than 50,000 play inCircuit A. Some 5,000 competefor the Grand Slams. Barely 50of them make it to theWimbledon. Exactly, 4 people

make it to the semi-finals, andonly 2 to the finals. There’s onlyone, who gets the cup.

All the success I achievedand the cups I lifted, I neverquestioned God, “Why me?”When God blessed me withvictory and happiness, I neverasked, “Why me?” Now, whenI have this disease, why shouldI ask, “Why me?”

Suffering is caused due toour grievances, desires andconstant dissatisfaction withthe world, which intensify andtortures the mind because ofthis persistent protest ingquestion: “Why me?”

But, one never enquires,“Why not me?” In life, youobtain something only when

you are competent and fit toreceive it. For example, asmart, intelligent and diligentstudent is able to getadmission in a good university.Maximum work is given to themost proficient individual. Thelaw of nature is that greaterresponsibilities or adversesituations come only to those, who have the capacity tohandle them.

Adversities or challengesalso help us grow. If questionslike ‘why me?’ and ‘why now?’,etc. keep surfacing, it meansthat the suffering is not yetenough and more lessons stillremain to be learnt andimbibed.

Therefore, one needs to stopasking ‘Why me?’, stop asking“What more suffering will cometomorrow?” Instead, askyourself what you are going todo, how you are going todevelop in the adverse orchallenging situation. It is noteasy, but i f you start withcompassion, you will begin tosee the good and positive insuch situation.

For example, if someone isvery nasty to you, there mustbe a reason. You should lookto have some knowledge andunderstanding of this person, and thereby know why he/shegets so nasty and irritated.

Maybe he/she is very weak, maybe he/she does notunderstand you, or perhaps you

do something to upset him/her. Ifyou can understand the cause, you can defuse those burningemotions you feel. Even if he/sheis behaving very badly, all youcan do is to walk away, you don’tneed to be attached to thesituation, you don’t need to carryit with you.

You have to be honest withyourself. When others speak ill ofyou, if what is said is not true andis just malicious or mischievousgossip, you don’t have to feel pityfor yourself, rather just let go andmove on.

If what is said has some truthin it, you can reflect, correct andlook to make improvements, andafter that let go of any regretfulfeeling.

This will be possible only whenwe appreciate our inner beautyand hidden potential, and therebylift ourselves. Accept what it is. Itis only in truly accepting that wedon’t know the whole picture – orwhy things happen as they do –that we can move on. It is not forany of us to say why thingshappen as they do. Life may notbe fair, but you can be fair; andbe the best human being you canbe. Remember the following pointsto be the best human being:

i). Happiness keeps you sweet.ii). Trials keep you strong.iii). Sorrow keeps you human.iv). Failure keeps you humble.v). Success keeps you glowing.vi). Faith keeps you going.

Be librated from the bondage of your mind by becoming ‘Manmanabhav.’

sufferings. Only these two canpave the way to Liberation andBeatitude. And, such refreshingknowledge and effective Yoga forthe overhauling or rejuvenation ofsoul is taught by Incorporeal Godonly, at the end of Iron Age(Kaliyuga) when all souls havedescended full-length from theideal and when Golden Age, theera of World Peace, has to bere-established.

Ignorant of this fact, manysadhus or so-called religiouspreachers have been saying thatall paths lead to the finalLiberation or Freedom (Mukti)and Liberation-in-Life or Fruition(Jeewan-Mukti), i.e., the higheststate of mental, spiritual, political, economic, social, religious and cultural welfare. Inorder to gain the favour of all, they enter into such glib talks as:“Gentleman, you may performpilgrimages, Yagyas or acts ofworship (Puja) or any Japa, andthen you will reach the goal ofUltimate Liberation, provided youare sincere in your belief andavowal.”

Such men do not realise thatall these persons, doing differentsort of things, differ in their faith, habits, sanskars, culture, wayof thinking and acts and havedifferent goals in their minds andcannot, therefore, reach the

same one goal. All of them havevarying conceptions of the self,of God, of Mukti and of Jeewan-Mukti and march on the oppositepaths; then, how can all reachthe same one destination? If allthe paths were the paths leadingtowards God, why should theynot be called the ‘Paths of Yoga’or the ‘Paths of Knowledge’?And, since true Knowledge andtrue Yoga is one, why shouldthey contradict each other? Thisshould lead us to the conclusionthat the only true path forLiberation and Fruition is the RajPath or the Royal Road ofKnowledge and Yoga which God,the Truth, teaches by personalincarnation.

For the benefits of themankind, we shall, therefore, nowannounce that the IncorporealGod, the Most Beloved Fatherof Humankind, has beenrevealing the true Knowledge ofRajyoga of The Gita-fame tobestow real freedom on all thesouls. Let all yoga-lovers takenote of it and let all God-loversrise to the occasion. We beckonall brothers and sisters the worldover to drink deep from thefountain of refreshing and life-giving knowledge, which Godhas blessed and has fullmeasure of bliss that He givesto the souls.

Undeniably, spiritualeducation is the only way forsublimation of ignoble habits andperverted instincts of man, andRajyoga is the only practice ordiscipline that can set a personat peace and eradicate evils fromhis mind. It is the divineeducation that can root outconceit and crookedness fromman’s mind and prepare him toface all situations in life, therebymaintaining his equanimity.Discipline born of spirituality can

straighten one’s mind and giveto it peace, geniality andhappiness, born of purity andsimplicity. So, the DivineKnowledge and Rajyoga practiceare the only paths of liberationfrom ignorance, vices and
