It’s 1793. Paris is gripped by theJacobins. The Compte de Creme-Brulée is to be guillotined on themorrow. His only hope, a daringswoop by that dashing master ofdisguise and echo-location, TheScarlet Pipistrelle, who has alreadyundertaken rescues of severalaristocrats. Who knows, perhaps thistime, he might actually succeed!

Agriculture has long been a mainstay of Diss and the local area,with a rich tradition of handcrafted tools. On display, incollaboration with Diss Museum, are a collection of implementsused to work the land by hand; before machines were developedto do the work more quickly and efficiently. The function of several

of the tools showcased in theexhibition is now a mystery, withvital information having beenlost over the years. Can youhelp identify any of thesehandcrafted tools?

But in 1910the women chainmakers ofCradley Heath held a 10 weekstrike led by Mary Macarthur thatled to a fair wage and changed thelives of thousands of workers.
