The Broadway Theatre of Pitman is headed into its 12th Mainstage season and the quality of our productions has never been better! year after year, we continue to provide our patrons with exceptional entertainment at some of the lowest prices in the region. We are thrilled to be introducing our 2018 Mainstage lineup and look forward to delivering another outstanding theatre season.
We start off the season with the comedic musical, Funny Girl, followed by the sensational Beehive: The 60’s Musical. Next up will be the captivating Can-Can and the jazz-soaked musical, Chicago. The season will draw to a close with the empowering, Evita, and the hit musical, Kiss Me Kate.
And as always, if you subscribe to the 2018 season by September 30, 2017 you will receive a FREE ticket to our 2017 Holiday Show! See page 10 for more information.
Located in the heart of downtown Pitman, the completely renovated Broadway Theatre of Pitman is the perfect place to spend an evening enjoying quality theatre with family, friends and loved ones. There truly isn’t a bad seat in the house! We offer six shows for only $89, a bargain you won’t find anywhere else in the area. All of our musical productions feature songs performed by our LIVE pit orchestra.

Based on the life and career of Broadway star, film actress, and comedian Fanny Brice, this musical single-handedly launched the career of megastar Barbara Streisand. Fanny dreams of making it big, even though her friends and neighbors tell her that she isn’t pretty enough for the stage. Well, Fanny will show them. With lively dance numbers, laugh out loud comedy, and a score featuring songs like “I’m the Biggest Star”, “Cornet Man”, “Don’t Rain on My Parade”, “Sadie, Sadie”, and one of the most popular songs ever written “People”, you and the family won’t want to miss this one!
Featuring former Miss New Jersey, Erica Scanlon Harr, who performed on our stage in last year’s highly acclaimed Man of La Mancha.

This 60’s musical sensation flies through the eclectic array of popular female musicians of the 1960’s, from the beehive hairdos of the Supremes and the Shirelles, to the long hair and hippie fashions of Janis Joplin and Carole King. Take a journey through song, following the dramatic changes that America underwent during these times. you will be singing all night long to the empowering songs “A Natural Woman,” “My Boyfriend’s Back”, “It’s My Party”, “Respect”, “Proud Mary”, and many, many more!

Paris dance hall owner, La Mome Pistache, fears the future of her career after a self-righteous judge, Aristide, has determined to shut her business down. The sensual Can-Can dance has become popular and Judge Aristide is determined to stop it. Get ready for the Tony-Award winning high-kicking choreography of the Can-Can dancers, and the story of an unlikely romance between a highly noble judge and an immoral dance hall owner. Set in the 1920’s, this jazz soaked musical sizzles, starring two women trying to work the judicial system. Tensions arise when Roxie Hart, a wannabe vaudevillian star and famed double-murderess and nightclub performer Velma Kelly acquire the same lawyer. The two compete for the spotlight and attention of their lustful lawyer. With timeless songs including “All That Jazz”, “Class”, “Cell Block Tango”, and “Mr. Cellophane”, among others, CHICAGO is a musical spectacular with addictive gossip and scandal that is sure to be an unforgettable production.
Featuring two-time Barrymore Award winner for “Best Actress in a Musical” as well as six additional Barrymore nominations, Jennie Eisenhower.

A musical based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew and inspired by real-life feuding stars Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, this five time Tony-Award winning production follows the onstage and backstage fighting that stems from a love that is “Too Darn Hot.” It becomes clear that as much as this couple claims to hate each other, they are also still in love. Throw in the comical and heartfelt songs of Cole Porter including “Another Openin’ Another Show”, “I Hate Men”, “Too Darn Hot”, “Brush Up Your Shakespeare”, “From this Moment On”, “Wunderbar”, “So in Love” and you’ve got, what many people call, the perfect musical.
