directing debut with The Last Romance, which had two of the four
actors winning RockStar! Awards.
Larry’s entrance into film production came in 2010 with the
feature film Earthling produced by “The Abductors, LLC”. He has also

Larry wishes to thank Bill for his mentorship, tremendous talent
and true friendship over the years. Bill is truly a treasure.
Johnna Leigh (Carrie Watts) – Johnna is delighted to be returning to
the Theatre Rocks! stage. She was last seen here as Carol in The Last
Romance. This show has such a touching story and plucks some of her
heart strings when remembering how her own mother, while suffering
from dementia, made repeated pleas to return to her home. It is a story
that more and more families are having to experience. Thankfully, Mrs.
Watts is clear of mind. Johnna has had the pleasure of performing at
several theaters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Some of her favorite
roles are Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo; Clairee, Truvy, and Ouiser in
Steel Magnolias; Big Momma in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; Marilla in Anne
of Green Gables; Amanda in The Glass Menagerie; Celia in Calendar
Girls; Beulah in The Last Night of Ballyhoo and many many more.
Johnna thanks each of you for braving these strange times and coming
out to support theatre. Sit back and enjoy The Trip to Bountiful.
Cast Biographies
Kimberly Koelzer (Jessie Mae Watts) – This is Kimberly’s first
production with Bill Rhoten, though you may have seen her on the
Theatre Rocks! stage as Miss Amelia in A Little Princess and as the

homeschool adventures. Kimberly would like to thank Bill and

several life-long friends during that production and in those since. He
worked with Fran Anderson’s Inspiration Inc. in A Charlie Brown
Christmas and Feel the Sound, Hear the Beat. Jack has enjoyed playing
music all his life, and has had many opportunities to play different
instruments and styles. For the last 8 years, he has been a part of the
Worship Team at his church, Tabernacle Family in Ennis, where he is
blessed to play Drums, Percussion and Bass Guitar. He has been a part
of writing and recording music with Brandon Hixson and Tabernacle
Worship on the albums Surrender and Scars.
Jack has been seen on the Theatre Rocks! stage in The Sunshine
Boys (Ben Silverman), My Favorite Christmas (Eddie the Elf) and
Twelve Angry Men (Juror 2). How many of these jurors can you spot
in this production..? Jack was also proud to be in the Warehouse
Living Art’s Center’s All Shook Up as “Dennis” (directed by Sandra
Mahood), and to be briefly seen in last season’s An Orphan’s Adventure, directed by Rebecca Perry.
He would like to thank his acting/life coaches, Kelly Kovar and the
late Michael Johnson, father Dirk and sister Jessica, who are
awesome, Bill and Suzanne, this great cast, as well as many theatre
and local friends, and to God, for allowing him to pursue all these

And a special thanks to our “Travelers”:
Bill Walker (Roy) – Bill is honored to be appearing again on the Theatre Rocks! stage under the direction of Bill Rhoten. He was last seen as Norman Theyer in On Golden Pond, for which he won last season’s RockStar! Best Performance Award. Bill considers it a privilege to think of Theatre Rocks! as his stage home, and thanks Bill and Suzanne for the opportunity to perform here. Not only does he have the privilege of working with an outstanding director, but also the privilege of working with a group of extraordinarily talented actors. In addition to his love of the theatre, Bill is an active Mason and an avid gardener. He is a retired educator and a resident of Red Oak along with his wife Connie, who has blessed him with her continued love and support.
Paul D. Perry (Sheriff) – This is Paul’s fourth play under Bill Rhoten’s
direction, and he is thankful to be part of this wonderful story and
thankful to Bill and Suzanne Rhoten for keeping theatre open in Ellis
County. Paul also appeared in Bill’s productions of Twelve Angry
Men, Lu Ann Hampton Laverty Oberlander, and Greater Tuna. His
other theatrical credits include The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Romeo
and Juliet, and Here Be Dragons. Paul stays busy with the everyday
drama of being an Ellis County Commissioner, financial advisor, and
father of eight—although a majority of his children are now out on
their own. He and his wife Rebecca reside in what Paul likes to call
the “Greater Italy-Milford-Frost Prosperity Triangle.”
Connor Perry (Houston Ticket Man #2 / Bus Driver) — Connor was
last seen on the Theatre Rocks! stage as “Oak the Orphan” in this
summer’s world premiere An Orphan’s Adventure. He is a 16-year-
old homeschooler whose other credits include Arsenic and Old Lace

Christmas Carol (“Young Ebenezer”/“Third Spirit”), Snow White and
the Seven Dwarfs (“Snick”), Cinderella (Footman), Sherlock Holmes
and the Speckled Band (“Billy”), and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
(“Nikolaas Smit”). Connor enjoys history, theology, and excessively
arguing with his friends over pointless matters.
