  • Taste The LanguageThe Taste The Language project aimed to promote language learning by using Food and Language

Taster Sessions, promoting European languages and food at various locations, such as restaurants, cafs, fairs, shops.

During taster sessions, participants could learn a little of the language, whilst sampling the food of the region where the language is spoken.

18 Taster booklets were developed and used as learning materials during the taster sessions.

Because of the nature of the project, they reached an audience of non-traditional language learners.

Speech Bubbles was a Comenius project which ran from 2003 to 2007.

It was designed to motivate, engage and introduce children to other European languages using television as a medium.

Children presented a series of 45 short TV programmes introducing words in nine languages.

Each programme had a theme i.e. food, sport, body, greetings, clothes, neighbourhood and was moderated by the children themselves (age group: 8 to 12).

All programmes were broadcast on local television channels in Berlin (DE), Segovia (ES) and Stockholm (SE). and through further small scale channels across Europe.
