Group Task

Each group now has a different genre to look at.

On your placemat, you have a heading of Setting, Plot, Characters, and Other.

You have 2 minutes to note down as many ideas as you can about the important features of that particular genre.

After two minutes, rotate the placemat and add information to the new heading.

Group Task

Now you have information under all four headings, agree on what the most important features of that genre is and write it in the middle of your placemat.

You should take one point from each part of the placemat.

You will be asked to present this to the class.

Everyone has been finding out about different genres. Now it’s time to share ideas with everyone else.

Find someone who can answer a question on the sheet, ask them to write their name in the box and also their answer.
