CHÂTEAU DE MEUNG-SUR-LOIREOne of the largest and oldest castles in the Loiret department, the Château was owned by the bishops of Orléans un-til the French Revolution. A short drive from Orléans, the castle offers 20 furni-shed rooms, from 18th century kitchens to bathrooms, and displays over 2,000 objects.

CHÂTEAU DE SULLY-SUR-LOIREThis château was built as a fortified monument to defend the bridge across the Loire, as well as a showpie-ce for sumptuous receptions.
A smaller château was added on se-veral decades later to house the Lord of the castle and his family.

CHÂTEAU DE CHEVERNYLived in by the same family for 600 years, this was the first Loire valley château to open its doors to the public, in 1922.
