SolarEdge Commercial Solutions

Increased energy production

All panels perform at maximum output

Flexible design

Larger string lengths

Multiple azimuths and tilts on the same string

Shade only impacts the affected module

Safety and code compliance

NEC 2017, 2020 compliant

8

Grid Interaction

String Inverter

Reduced energy production

Strings track to lowest performing module; mismatch, shading, dirt, etc.

Less flexible design

Limited string lengths

Must always face the same direction, same pitch, same module wattage

Shade must be avoided

Unforeseen redesigns

No module-level monitoring, or performance data

Safety and code compliance issues

High voltages at the module level whenever the sun is out (even when inverter/AC power is off)

Traditional Inverter Limitations

AdvantEdge: Protecting Your PV Investment

9

AdvantEdge was created to further protect PV investments, giving system stakeholders even greater peace of mind

EPCs can benefit from improved, O&M with significantly fewer costs

System owners are protected against production losses caused by power optimizer downtime

Program Benefits:

SolarEdge covers potential production loss resulting from power optimizer downtime

All power optimizers in an eligible site are covered for up to six months per power optimizer

Enrolled sites will be covered for a two-year period*

* Actual program duration may be longer (up to 2.5 years) as the program end date is either June 30th or Dec. 31st, whichever comes first once the first 2

years have elapsed

AdvantEdge: How is Energy Compensated

18

The EPC is eligible for labor compensation resulting from power optimizer replacement, for up to two site visits per year

Energy loss compensation is calculated (automatically through the monitoring system) based on the site Feed-in Tariff per kWh, provided by the customer during the registration process.

The coverage year is divided into 2 payment periods:

January 1st – June 30th

July 1st – December 31st

The AdvantEdge Report, containing all relevant power optimizer coverage details, is available for download at any time via the SolarEdge monitoring platform

Following the end of each coverage period, The AdvantEdge Site Report is sent to the customer, detailing all energy loss compensation details

Customers can then claim any compensation entitled by submitting an invoice directly to AdvantEdge

EPCs’ are responsible for settling any and all payments due to the system owner
