Christ Child Society of Monterey Bay
Partnering with St. Angela’s Pre-school on Literacy
Early childhood literacy is a huge indicator of
academic and workplace success. That’s why the Christ Child Society of Monterey Bay is piloting
an early literacy program with the help of St. Angela’s Preschool this spring. Assuming the pilot programs are successful, we will take our new programs to under-resourced infants at a local pre-school TBD this fall. Volunteers are
needed for the pilot to read to children (in costume), prepare and supervise crafts, provide
snacks and donate books.
Join us in this important effort! Email Anne Kelley, [email protected] or

We here at St. Angela Merici Preschool say
THANK YOU!
We are ever so grateful to Father Seamus and the parishioners of St. Angela’s for all the wonderful support we received for this year’s Preschool Silent & Live Auction Fundraiser! We are blessed to report that we were able to raise a total of $20,500 in profit for the preschool! Thank you to Miranda Morris and the parishioner volunteers for organizing a beautiful and delicious dessert bar for our event. A special thanks to Keith Quisno who, as our auctioneer extortioner, did a fabulous job keeping our event on track and guests engaged.
Take some time to reflect on your
Lenten Journey:
What time have you set aside to simply be with God this Lent? In what ways have you seen or experienced the mercy of God this Lent?

MARY’S GARDEN IS COMING IN MAY 4TH-5TH! Please submit your orders by the 14th of April
The third and fourth grade Faith Formation class is continuing to focus on
“Loving God & Loving Others” through service projects, and we welcome your support.
Each May, we have created “Mary’s Gardens” to present to a special mom in our lives. The pots are lovingly hand painted and planted by the kiddos with
beautiful plants representing Our Blessed Mother.
The results were so wonderful last year we decided this year to offer Mary’s Gardens for sale to parishioners with all funds donated to the St. Angela Women’s
fund which helps support women parishioners in need.
Place your order now by filling out the slip below and returning to the Parish Office and we will have your Mary’s Garden ready for pick up after
the Masses on the weekend of May 4th-5th. (Limited to the first 100 orders.)
Any questions, please contact Nanci at [email protected] or 831-601-0188.
Yes! I’d like a Mary’s Garden made with love by 3rd/4th graders.
