Araujo Estate: “In 2013, this historic estate was sold by Bart & Daphne Araujo to François Pinault, the proprietor of Bordeaux’s Château Latour

as well as several other French estates, most notably the tiny diamond with its own appellation, Château Grillet near Condrieu. Pinault also

owns Domaine René Engel in Burgundy. This is my first look at the wines under the new ownership. I was among the first to review these wines when the vineyard was owned by the Eisele family, who sold grapes to

Ridge in 1971 for the first single vineyard offering from this site. This is a gorgeous set of wines from Bart & Daphne Araujo, and their team headed by winemaker Nigel Kinsman and consulting winemaker

Francoise Peschon (of VHR fame).” (Robert Parker) 2013 Araujo Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Eisele Vineyard, Calistoga

$$$$ 91 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Eisele Vineyard represents a departure from previous editions, as the current team is seeking a style of Sauvignon built on phenolic intensity, energy & tension, all elements that

will be new to readers who drink the estate's Sauvignon Blanc on a regular basis. Among other things, the Sauvignon now spends more time in the cellar than it used to. Hints of lime, citrus & white flowers add nuance on the saline-infused finish. It will be interesting to see how this intriguing white develops in bottle. The 2013 was done 65% in stainless steel, 20% in oak & 15% in concrete eggs.” FIVE six-packs available.

2012 Araujo Estate ‘Altagracia’ Red Wine, Napa Valley $$$$ Bordeaux-style blend vinified in the same manner as the Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Fruit for Altagracia is sourced both from the Eisele Vineyard and from certain other Napa Valley vineyards where we hold long-term grape contracts and which are farmed to our specifications. 71%

Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 4% Malbec. NINE six-packs available.

91-93 Points Robert Parker | “Araujo’s second wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Altagracia exhibits beautiful blueberry, black raspberry and cassis fruit which reflects the purity that frequently comes from this vineyard. The tannins are soft, and the wine is lighter than its bigger sibling, but it possesses medium body, velvety tannin, and a gorgeous mouthfeel. Already approachable, this seductive, plush 2012 should age effortlessly for 10-15 years.”

2011 Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Eisele Vineyard, Calistoga

$$$$$ To produce the estate's flagship wine, three quarters of the 38-acre Eisele Vineyard is dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon and its companion varieties, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. The resulting wine is an intense

expression of the Eisele Vineyard proprietary clone and terroir, exhibiting characteristic flavors of cassis, blackberry, cedar and chocolate, with a lingering mineral finish. Cabernets from the Eisele Vineyard are highly regarded for their complexity, concentration, weight without heaviness, silky texture and ability to age for decades. The wine was aged in new French oak barrels for 19 months and bottled in August 2013. 11 three-packs available.

98 Points James Suckling | 96+ Points Antonio Galloni | 92-95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard is simply beautiful. It is easily one of the most complete and compelling wines of the vintage. Rich, flashy and open, especially within the context of the vintage, the 2011 impresses for its depth and polish. Layers of blue and black fruit, savory herbs, mint and licorice come together in this complete Cabernet. A model of total class and elegance, the 2011 is simply remarkable for the year. This is one of the few wines of the vintage with real potential not just for the near-term, but also for the future. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2026.”

ARGOT is the brainchild of Winemaker Justin Harmon. Dedicated to crafting small lots of white and red wine made at the very highest level. Justin

was inspired to get into winemaking by an interview he read some years ago with legendary winemaker Sean Thackery. We think this is one of the most exciting new wineries around - and definitely one to watch in the future!

2012 Argot Chardonnay, Sympatico Ranch, Bennett Valley $ 94 Points Doug Wilder | 91 Points Robert Parker | “Justin Harmon continues to roll out beautifully made wines with some of his best work coming out of Bennett Valley. From 35 year old Old Wente and Spring Mountain clone. The nose is bright lemon, crème brulee, macadamia and fresh melon rind. The palate is lean and

effortlessly light on entry, moving into a polished core of supple fresh fruit, brioche and nuts. Seamless and pure. Drink 2015 - 2018." (Purely Domestic Wine Report) 158 cases produced. FIVE cases available. 2012 Argot ‘Bastard Tongue’ Pinot Noir, Sonoma County $$

93 Points Robert Parker | Each year we taste through our barrels and select those that present the most decadent, deep and complex representation of Pinot Noir the vintage allowed. Those barrels are then buried in the coldest, darkest corner of the winery to continue marinating—concentrating, mellowing,

deepening. Increasing in their complexity of fruit, in hopes of offering a new take on what the Pinot Noir grape is capable of. The 2012 Bastard Tongue Pinot Noir is as rich and intense a Pinot Noir as we have crafted. % Pinot Noir raised 20 months in all new French oak. 75 cases produced. 4 cases available. 2012 Argot Estate Grown Pinot Noir, Sonoma Mountain $$

94 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard possesses a dark plum/purple color and a big, sweet bouquet of black cherries and raspberries, a full-bodied texture, good concentration and purity, and a savory mouthfeel. This impressive, bigger-styled Pinot can be drunk over the next 5-7 years.” 4 cases available.

“Morgan Twain-Peterson is one of the most impressive young winemakers I have ever met… Making wines at this level requires talent, passion, hard work & a great palate, none of which is easily inherited. Along with Mike Officer of Carlisle, Twain-Peterson is on a mission to rediscover what he calls California’s old-vine ‘heritage’ vineyards. These historic sites planted by California’s early immigrants, often home to unknown field blends, remain some of the most fascinating vineyards in California. Officer & Twain-Peterson were tired of seeing these old sites

gobbled up by industrial-scale wineries, so they decided to do something about it. Bravo… Morgan Twain-Peterson continues to produce a fascinating array of wines from old vine sites throughout California… The 2013s detailed below continue his Midas touch with a diversity of historical heritage sites.” (Robert Parker)

Thirst Wine Merchants | (405) 942-WINE | [email protected] | www.thirstwine.com

2013 Bedrock ‘Evangelho Heritage Wine’, Contra Costa County $

Evangelho lies just inland from the Sacramento River Delta on banks of sand that can reach 40 feet in depth. Though a warm area there is rarely a day that passes without a serious wind—very much like a Californian Mistral and the antecedent to the fog coming through the Golden Gate—racing

through the vineyard. This causes the vines to shut down for much of the hot afternoons, and the result is a wine that seemingly defies conventional wisdom when it comes warm weather sites. Evangelho is the earliest-picked vineyard by weeks in the winery, but it tends to be the lowest in pH and alcohol of the Heritage Wines. This means that the crackling red fruit of Carignane, unctuousness of Zinfandel, and terrestrial perfume of Mourvèdre is held aloft by an underlying brightness. Yet another unique terroir only found in this great State.

92 Points Robert Parker | “Sleek and zesty, this wine balances polish with a briary personality. Floral raspberry and spice box aromas combine with lively flavors of dried cherry, smoky sage and pepper, with the tannins easing in on the finish. Zinfandel, Mourvèdre, Carignane, Alicante Bouschet and Palomino. Drink now through 2022. 750 cases made.” FOUR cases available.

2013 Bedrock ‘Bedrock Heritage Wine’, Sonoma Valley $

Always the wine closest to my heart, the Bedrock Vineyard Heritage Wine comes my family’s old vineyard in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Planted between 1888 and 1895 and composed of over 22 interplanted varieties, the Bedrock Vineyard Heritage Wine is the wine that I started the winery

to make. The piece of rock strewn red clay soils produced a wine of citrus-tinged red fruits and spice. I hope this wine speaks as much to the vineyard as to the varieties from which it is composed- which of course is the point. Composed of roughly 55% Zinfandel, 30% Carignane, with the balance being the many other varieties scattered throughout the vineyard. 750 cases made.

93-95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2013 Proprietary Red Bedrock Vineyard Heritage comes from the Peterson family’s old vines planted between 1888 and 1895. Amazingly, there are over 22 interplanted varieties in this vineyard, with the bulk of it being 55% Zinfandel and 30% Carignane. The balance of 15% is composed of the other 20 varietals. There are 750 cases of this spectacular wine. Its dense ruby/purple color is followed by notes of black raspberries, roasted Provençal herbs, pepper, strawberry jam, kirsch and blacker fruits. Full-bodied, heady, savory, broad and expansive, this fabulous wine showcases the remarkable blending and winemaking skills of Morgan Twain Peterson. Drink now-2024.” THREE cases available.

2013 Bedrock ‘Pagani Heritage Wine’, Sonoma Valley $

This venerable and famed vineyard, planted in the 1880’s, produced perhaps the finest wine we have made yet from the site. As is typical with the vineyard, its ash-rich grey soils and its rostrum of particularly dark mixed blacks varieties the wine is on the burly side of elegance. More

Waylon Jennings than Willie Nelson, more Wagner than Mozart. This wine separates itself from the 10, 11, or 12 as in 2013 the stentorian tone found the higher angels of perfume and the flavors run the gamut from an earthen core to celestial heights.

94-96 Points Robert Parker | “The 2013 Proprietary Red Pagani Heritage rivals the incredible 2012. An ancient vineyard of mixed black grapes planted in the 1880s, this full-bodied, multifaceted wine offers a stunning display of blue, red and black fruits intermixed with floral notes, a juicy, exuberant personality, and, most importantly, a boatload of pleasure. Drink it over the next decade.” TWO cases available.

Blackbird Vineyards is an artisanal producer of Pomerol-inspired wines from the Napa Valley. Planted in 1997, the estate vineyard is located in the heart of the Oak Knoll District—a region appreciated for its moderate climate and deep, gravelly soils. The vineyard’s valley floor topography presents optimum growing conditions for winemaker Aaron Pott [Quintessa,

Château La Tour Figeac, Château Troplong Mondot, Martin Estate] to produce elegantly styled, appropriately balanced red wines that offer short and long term cellaring potential. 2012 Blackbird ‘Illustration’, Napa Valley $$$$

The heart is full of infinite possibilities... Illustration represents the core - the heart - of Blackbird Vineyards. Illustration represents the core - the heart - of Blackbird Vineyards. Every element of Blackbird's multi-faceted wine portfolio draws inspiration from this singular, Pomerol-inspired Merlot. It is

an undiluted illustration of the passion, time and concentration invested in creating elegant, multi-layered wines. Illustration challenges the notion that Cabernet Sauvignon is the only age-worthy red wine crafted in the Napa Valley. 64% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 21 months in French Oak barrels (75% new, 25% seasoned).

91 Points Robert Parker | 92 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2012 Illustration, Blackbird's Merlot-based blend, brings together power and silkiness with unusual grace. Drink this supple, racy red over the next handful of years, while the flavors remain juicy and vibrant.” 2012 Blackbird ‘Paramour’, Napa Valley $$$$

Wine and the sensuous go hand in hand... Paramour possesses both sensuality and commanding structure. Merlot and Cabernet Franc have a fragile but irresistible chemistry that flourishes when climate, soils and seasons align. The grapes allotted for this graceful red wine are grown in only the most auspicious conditions. Paramour reveals the passionate

relationship between these two varietals and between winegrower and land. 53% Cabernet Franc, 44% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 21 months in French Oak (75% new). 725 cases produced.

93+ Points Antonio Galloni | 94 Points Robert Parker | “A blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc (á la a St.-Emilion), the gorgeous 2012 Proprietary Red Paramour offers up notes of Christmas fruitcake, forest floor, mulberries, black cherries and currants. Full-bodied and beautifully fruity without a lot of weight, this is a beautiful example of a complex wine to drink over the next 10-12 years.” 2012 Blackbird ‘Contrarian’, Napa Valley $$$$

Vive les différences... Contrarian is crafted by passion & instinct. This textured blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon possesses both an aromatic richness & subtle tannin profile. It exudes an elegance Blackbird Vineyards' wines are known for, while displaying the regal posture that comes from superior Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

A wine to indulge in now & for decades to come, Contrarian's uniquely supple structure flouts convention. 54% Cabernet Franc, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot aged for 21 months in French Oak (75% new). 1375 cases produced.

93+ Points Antonio Galloni | 91+ Points Robert Parker | “Cabernet Franc plays the leading role in the 2012 Contrarian. Sweet floral and savory aromatics meld into a core of dark red stone fruits in a deep, resonant wine built on pure verticality. All the elements fall into place in a gracious yet powerful wine. The Cabernet Franc is felt especially in the lifted, floral aromatics that are woven throughout.”

Thirst Wine Merchants | (405) 942-WINE | [email protected] | www.thirstwine.com

Perhaps you’ve heard the almost mythical story, how the brash, young French vigneron visited the little-known, redundantly named

town and fell in preposterous love with a few acres of useless, stone-covered farmland. While the nay-sayers nayed, Christophe Baron deftly turned that field of stones into the acclaimed Cayuse Vineyards. And the rest, as they say, is history—and a whole lot of spectacular wine.

“Enough can’t be said about the quality coming from this estate, and Christophe Baron, who’s assisted by Elizabeth Bourcier, produces, in this reviewer’s opinion, some of the most

distinctive and exciting wines on the planet. As I said last year, there’s no secret here, and Christophe simply has fantastic terroir, works his ass off in the vineyard (everything is farmed biodynamically), and then gets out of the way in the cellar.” –The Wine Advocate (July 2014)

2013 CAYUSE Syrah, Cailloux Vineyard, Walla Walla $$$$

Christophe’s first Walla Walla Valley vineyard, this 10-acre plot was our first vineyard planted in the stones of Milton Freewater in 1997, and produces the flagship Cailloux Syrah and Cailloux Viognier.

94-97 Points Robert Parker | " Starting off the 2013 Syrahs from barrel, the 755-case 2013 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard was cofermented with 5% Viognier and is aged in twice-used French oak. It offers a ripe, voluptuous style in its ground pepper, smoked meats, peat and sweet dark fruits. These give way to a full-bodied Syrah that has solid concentration and good tannin. The Viognier here normally gives this cuvee some early charm, but it should evolve gracefully as well.” 2013 CAYUSE Syrah, En Cerise Vineyard, Walla Walla $$$$

Literally translated, it means “cherry”—appropriate since this 10-acre vineyard planted in 1998 was a cherry orchard in its former life. En Cerise Vineyard Syrah and grapes for the Flying Pig and Camaspelo Bordeaux blends are grown here.

95-97 Points Robert Parker | "The 2013 Syrah en Cerise, of which there's only 361 cases to go around, sees almost all neutral oak and is always 100% Syrah. Peppery, classic rocks, peat moss, violets and plenty of sweet black cherry and cassis aromas all show here. It is full-bodied, layered, sexy and gorgeously textured on the palate. The texture here is classic Cayuse, and it has fine, sweet tannin that come through on the finish.” 2012 CAYUSE ‘God Only Knows’ Grenache, Armada Vineyard, Walla Walla $$$$

At 1815 vines per acre, this 16-acre vineyard, created in 2001, was the highest density planting in the Walla Walla Valley until 2008. Notable wines include Armada Vineyard Syrah, God Only Knows Grenache and Edith Grenache Rosé.

96 Points Robert Parker | "Aged in used puncheons from René Rostaing, the 2012 Grenache God Only Knows Armada Vineyard offers lots of framboise, black cherries, bouquet garni and spice to go with a full-bodied, seamless, elegant feel on the palate. It picks up more and more tannin with time in the glass, and needs 3-4 years of cellaring, but should keep for 15 years or more.”

2012 CONTINUUM RED WINE, Pritchard Hill 750 mL: $$$$$ || 375 ml (cardboard 12-pack) $$$$

100% of the 2012 Continuum was grown on Pritchard Hill in the western hills above Oakville. Our 38 acres of mature estate vineyard, with an average age of 21 years, has a variety of western and south facing aspects with plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. After

fermentation, all lots were drained, with pomace pressed separately, to 85% new small French oak barrels for 20 months. 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.

96 Points Antonio Galloni | 94 Points Wine Spectator | “Ripe, silky tannins wrap around the palate in the 2012 Continuum. Bright red cherry, plum, spice, menthol and hard candy meld together effortlessly in the glass. The 2012 captures the polished, refined side of the vintage. This is perhaps the most refined wine I have ever tasted from Continuum. The flavors are bright and focused, while the new oak has been decidedly toned down, both of which allow the personality of these breathtaking hillsides sites to shine. The 2012 is the first Continuum to be made entirely with estate grown fruit.” (Vinous Media) FOUR six-packs available.

“Giacomo Neri makes some of the most exciting modern-styled Brunellos in the zone. Neri is a fervent believer in low yields, and

while his wines boast notable concentration, they also show remarkable elegance and expressiveness.” -Robert Parker

2010 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino ‘White Label’ DOCG $$

96 Points Robert Parker | “The outstanding 2010 Brunello di Montalcino gives you everything you want to see in a great wine, a great Tuscan wine. This monumental expression of Sangiovese delivers top-notch intensity with seamless integration of aromas… The energy & vitality of the vintage is locked

perfectly within… There is nothing out of place & the price tag is certainly not exaggerated for this level of excellence.” Please inquire.

2010 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino ‘Tenuta Nuova’ DOCG $$$$ 100 Points Robert Parker | “The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova is a protagonist of the vintage. The fruit is deep and dark with rich levels of extract, intensity and flavor. It goes far beyond your standard cherry and blackberry to

include plum cake, spice bread and bacon-wrapped prune. Nothing is obvious or monochromatic about this wine. Everything is nuanced and ethereal. Tenuta Nuova is also distinguished by the linear mineral notes that are characteristic of this single-vineyard site… If there is one thing Giacomo Neri has mastered, it is harvesting at optimal ripeness: He knows his property and his vines better than most and it shows....” Please inquire.

2007 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino ‘Cerratalto’ DOCG $$$$$ 95 Points Wine Spectator | 96 Points Antonio Galloni | “Pure cherry and blackberry fruit mingles with mineral, spice and earth notes in this modern-style red. Graphite elements emerge as the bright acidity and dusty tannins drive the long finish. Fresh and focused, with fine complexity and seamless texture. Best from 2016 through 2035." ONE wood-box three-packs available.

2008 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino ‘Cerratalto’ DOCG $$$$$ 94 Points Robert Parker | “The 2008 Brunello di Montalcino Cerretalto comes from a more challenging vintage for Casanova di Neri with a cooler growing season and more moisture. Cerretalto is so immensely soft and luscious it is almost too much of a good thing. Rich spice, cherry, chocolate and crushed granite wrap

thickly around the palate. Drink: 2017-2026." TWO wood-box three-packs available.

Originally part of the Evening Land Vineyards program, Domaine de la Côte was purchased by Raj Parr (Sandhi, Evening Land) & Sashi Moorman (Sandhi, Piedrasassi, Evening

Land) at the beginning of 2013. Sashi discovered the site & developed the vineyards with Chris King in 2007. Under his direction, the vineyards were planted entirely to California heritage selections at extremely high vine densities between 4,000 & 7,000 vines per acre, unprecedented at the time for the appellation. Although the Domaine spans a mere 40 acres, the diversity of its climates is staggering: each vineyard has a unique geology, aspect, elevation & microclimate. Such distinct expression of site, or terroir, in such close proximity, is unparalleled in California.

“This new project from Sashi Moorman and Rajat Parr… is a hallmark of California’s achievements with this grape. Astonishing energy in this rare bottling.”

(Jon Bonné, San Francisco Chronicle Top 100 Wines) 2013 Domaine de la Côte Pinot Noir, Bloom’s Field, Sta. Rita Hills $$

The single vineyard Bloom’s Field is from a 7½-acre parcel of iron laden clay loam over shale that lies on the western edge of Domaine. Bloom’s Field faces gently to the south but has a clear view west to the Pacific Ocean and therefore is unprotected from the marine influences of wind and fog. These unusually small

clusters and berries produce a Pinot Noir of concentration and depth of flavor while the constant cooling winds preserve high levels of natural acidity that give the wines great energy. Bloom’s Field is 100% whole bunches and aged in 20% new oak for 20 months. 771 cases made.

93 Points Antonio Galloni ǀ “The 2013 Pinot Noir Bloom's Field is utterly beguiling from the very first taste. Layers of flavor build through the mid-palate and finish, where the 2013 shows a real sense of verticality in its structure. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and new leather meld into the expressive finish. The co-fermentation of Calera and Mount Eden clones, along with the unique personality of this site yield a Pinot Noir long on complexity and nuance. There is plenty of potential here.”

2013 Domaine de la Côte Pinot Noir, La Côte, Sta. Rita Hills $$$

The single vineyard La Côte is from a small section of a 9-acre parcel that faces south-east on a steep slope of broken shale. La Côte lies behind a massive cliff of diatomaceous earth and is protected from the direct influence of the cold marine air from the Pacific ocean. With its south-east exposition the vineyard absorbs

the energy of the morning sun and the exposed shale quickly warms the vines from the night time chill. As a result, La Côte is the first vineyard that we harvest and always produces our most opulent wine. Aromas of sandalwood, spruce oil and black plums are followed by flavors of fresh summer cherries, cloves, and hints of orange. Like Bloom’s Field, La Côte is fermented with 100% whole bunches and aged in 20% new oak for 20 months. In terms of approachability, La Côte is later to open up than Bloom’s Field and should be decanted if drinking in its youth. 484 cases made.

90+ Points Antonio Galloni ǀ “The 2013 Pinot Noir La Côte is powerful & intense, but it is also quite austere. Sweet red cherries, iron, smoke, crushed rose petal, chalk and sage gradually open up in the glass, but the firm tannins clamp down on the mid-palate and finish. It will be interesting to see how the 2013 develops over time… I also tasted the 2010, which Winemaker Sashi Moorman describes as having been like the 2013 at the same stage in its life. We will see.”

2012 DuMOL Chardonnay, DuMOL Estate Vineyard, Russian River Valley $$

95 Points Robert Parker | 94 Points Antonio Galloni | “The brilliant 2012 Chardonnay Estate (740 cases) spent 13 months in barrel (40% new) and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. In 2012, the Estate Vineyard was 7 years of age, and is planted with the Old Wente selection known as the Hyde clone as well as

some of the Mt. Eden selection from that iconic winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Elegant as well as powerful, this beautiful Chardonnay exhibits notes of lemon custard, spring flowers, citrus blossoms, orange marmalade, melons and white peaches. The acidity is crisp and well-integrated, and the overall impression is one of beautiful, full-bodied, aromatic and persistent richness. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years.” TWO six-packs available. 2012 DuMOL Chardonnay ‘Isobel’, Russian River Valley $$

94 Points Antonio Galloni | 94 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Chardonnay Isobel (980 cases) comes from 31-year-old vines planted in the Charles Heintz Vineyard, and spent 13 months in 39% new oak. It offers classic notes of tangerine oil, apple blossoms, caramelized citrus and a wet stone minerality. Full-bodied with

terrific fruit purity and a subtle hint of oak, it should drink well for 7-8 years. The clonal material is California clone 4”. ONE six-pack available. 2012 DuMOL Syrah, Russian River Valley $$

94-96 Points Antonio Galloni | 94 Points Robert Parker | 94 Points Wine Spectator | “The 2012 Syrah Russian River (1,060 cases aged in 30% new French oak hogsheads for 17 months prior to being bottled unfiltered) exhibits meaty, black olive tapenade, roasted herb, blackcurrant, blackberry and pepper

characteristics. This complex, gamey, full-bodied Syrah is bursting with explosive levels of fruit and glycerin. Drink this French-styled stunner over the next decade or more.” TWO cases available. 2012 DuMOL Syrah ‘Jack Robert’s Run’, Russian River Valley $$$

colored Syrah. Full-bodied with olive tapenade notes, sweet tannin and an expansive, multilayered mouthfeel, this fabulous Syrah should be drunk over the next 12-15+ years.” ONE six-pack available.

Historically, Seven Springs Vineyard has produced some of the finest grapes grown in the United States and was selected as one of the “Top 10 Vineyards in America” by Food and Wine Magazine. The Wine Advocate has regarded it as “one of Oregon’s finest, most consistent vineyards.”

Sixty-five acres were initially planted in the early 1980’s. Today, Seven Springs Vineyard is a 70 acre dry-farmed vineyard that is LIVE certified and has been fully converted to organic and biodynamic farming practices since 2007.

2012 Evening Land Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills $

Our Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir comes predominantly from the Eola Springs Vineyard – the fruit of these old vines complements our own new plantings from Seven Springs Vineyard to create an elegant representation of our beloved AVA. Both vineyards favor sustainable & organic practices, respectively, with sound

farming and great stewardship of the land. The grapes were hand-picked & hand-sorted, de-stemmed & started to ferment naturally after a 4-5 day cold soak in our open top oak & concrete fermenters. Gentle punch down twice per day throughout the fermentation helped the soft extraction of the tannins. Aging occurred in once filled & neutral French oak barrels to preserve the elegance of the wine for 14 months. Our Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir was estate bottled on June 24th, 2014.

93 Points Wine Spectator ǀ “Silky, expressive & minerally, this medium-weight red layers its blackberry, black cherry, tar and river stone flavors and aromatics on an open frame, lingering easily on the polished finish. Drink now through 2022. 770 cases made.” TWO cases available.

2012 Evening Land Pinot Noir, Seven Springs Estate Vineyard, Eola-Amity Hills $$ Our Seven Spring’s Estate Pinot Noir is a representation of Seven Springs Vineyard, in its entirety. Grapes are sourced

from every diverse corner of this magical site, including our old vine, own-rooted Pommard clone. The grapes were hand-picked, hand-sorted, de-stemmed & began to ferment naturally after a 4-5 day cold soak in our open top oak & concrete fermenters. Twice daily, gentle punch-downs throughout the

fermentation helped the soft extraction of the tannins. Aging occurred in 30% new, French oak barrels for 16 months to preserve the elegance of the wine. Our Seven Springs Estate Pinot Noir was bottled on June 23rd, 2014.

96 Points Wine Spectator ǀ “Sleek and silky, brimming with raspberry, blackberry, pear and licorice flavors that come together seamlessly on the long, polished finish. This has depth and presence. Drink now through 2022. 3,149 cases made.” Fourteen cases available.

2012 Evening Land Pinot Noir, Seven Springs Estate, ‘La Source’ Eola-Amity Hills $$$ Our 2012 Seven Springs La Source Pinot Noir is a unique blend of the rocky & shallow soils that we have on our vineyard. These soils contain old vines of own-rooted Pommard Dijon clone which is farmed organically & biodynamically. The grapes were hand-picked, hand-sorted, de-stemmed & began to ferment

naturally after a 4-5 day cold soak in our open top oak & concrete fermenters. Twice daily gentle punch-downs throughout fermentation helped to soften the extraction of the tannins. Aging occurred in 30% new French oak barrels for 16 months to preserve the elegance of the wine. Our La Source Pinot Noir was bottled on June 24th, 2014.

98 Points (#3 Top 100 of 2015) Wine Spectator ǀ “Seductive, silky and supple, this red layers its gorgeous currant, plum, blueberry and spice flavors on a lithe frame, coming together harmoniously on the long, expressive finish. Drink now through 2022. 1,176 cases made.” EIGHT six-packs available.

Thirst Wine Merchants | (405) 942-WINE | [email protected] | www.thirstwine.com

“A visit to The Eyrie Vineyards where Jason Lett presides is like getting a history lesson in how wine used to be made (and some might say still should be made). From the grape growing through the elevage, this is an artisanal, non-interventionist, unique operation that continues to turn out some of the most fascinating wines on the planet. Knowing Eyrie Pinot Noir’s propensity for longevity, my drinking windows are likely to seem conservative a decade from now.” (The Wine Advocate, Oct. 2009)

These Eyrie library releases represent some of the best and most iconic wines ever made in Oregon—or in North America, for that matter. The Eyrie library wines were first offered for sale in 2009 after a landmark tasting of every vintage David Lett made before his death in 2008. 38 Eyrie vintages were poured, from Eyrie’s (and the Willamette Valley’s) first vintage in 1970, to David’s last release, the 2007 Reserve. The South Block Reserve Pinots were never offered for sale—not even when they were young—after the 1975 won the second “Judgment of Paris” in 1979. These are truly some of the rarest wines on earth. Thirst is proud to own a few bottles of the following wines. And now we offer them tom you…

“I urge anyone interested in fully mature, subtle Chardonnay to consider investing. You can buy single bottles at the prices cited below, and there is one complete vertical

available (or at least there was as of this writing) at $7,500. I wonder whether they haven’t underpriced these rarities.” - Jancis Robinson, M. W. (July 2009)

1993 Eyrie Chardonnay, Original Vines Reserve, Dundee Hills $$$$$ Jancis Robinson | “Nutty nose – real interest. Lovely subtlety. Great depth. Very complex.” David Lett’s original vintage notes: “Bloom was in late June. A cool summer led to an extended ripening period, but the fall was temperate, sunny and dry. Conditions like 1993’s illustrate exactly why spring and summer weather is

trivial in importance when compared to conditions in the fall.” 430 cases made. SEVEN BOTTLES available. 1996 Eyrie Chardonnay, Original Vines Reserve, Dundee Hills $$$$$

Jancis Robinson | “Mealy, buttery nose – ‘Meursault’ style. Very flattering – I can imagine David Lett being slightly worried that it almost tastes Californian!” David Lett’s original vintage notes: “A warm August was followed by a cool September, allowing even flavor development. Cool days and cold nights began in

early October, trapping the flavors in the fruit. Yields were slightly below normal levels, but not financially threatening as with 1994 and 1998.” 47 cases made! TWO BOTTLES available. 2010 Eyrie Chardonnay, Original Vines Reserve, Dundee Hills $

93 Points Wine Enthusiast | 91 Points Robert Parker | “From vines planted exclusively in Eyrie's inaugural decade at the original estate, their 2010 Chardonnay is fermented in old barriques, and follows the full-malo pattern… There is plenty of fresh apple as well as pear fruit, but not even a memory of green

apple acid, and at the same time a seductive creaminess of texture allied to uncanny levity. A delightfully floral scent wafts atop the fruit. Subtle fruit pip piquancy; bitter-sweet raw almond and hazelnut; as well as saline and sweetly savory notes reminiscent of fresh scallop convey invigoration and saliva-inducement to a delectably long finish. Here is wine from the world's most ubiquitous white grape that's distinctively delicious and genuinely intriguing, a fine value that ought to prove fascinatingly versatile at table over the coming decade.” ONE case available.

1986 Eyrie Pinot Noir, South Block Reserve, Dundee Hills $$$$$

Cole Danehower | “Rich mahogany color. Big nose of basil and blossoms, dried earth—truffle? Texture is incredibly supple. There is a sweet core of fruit that is only slightly dried in quality. Butterscotch/caramel edges. Coast the mouth. Flavors hard to describe: like opening the door to an ancient library with a bowl of

fresh strawberries on the table. Good balance: detectable soft tannins, supportive acid. Long finish.” -Essential Northwest Wines, June 2014. ONE BOTTLE available.

1993 Eyrie Pinot Noir, South Block Reserve, Dundee Hills $$$$$

Wine Spectator | “The 1993 has matured into a supple, rich wine, surprisingly so, as it felt quite light when it was young. Black tea, peppery spice, dark fruit and roasted meat flavors persist into the long and expressive finish.” –Harvey Steiman, October, 2012. ONE BOTTLE available.

1996 Eyrie Pinot Noir, South Block Reserve, Dundee Hills $$$$$

Cole Danehower | “Brighter color, still retains hints of rosy cheeks.—appealing. Floral scents, dried rose blossoms. Wonderfully fruity in the mouth; lots of red fruits with a sweet core very pretty on the tongue. Texturally light. Feels like a fully-realized wine: some tannin, some acid, some fruit, all in balance and alive.” -

2013 Failla Chardonnay, Estate Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview (Sonoma Coast) $ In 1998 we bought a parcel of land and by 2002 it was planted with five acres of rootstock before grafting Pinot Noir clones the following year. Today our fourteen acres of Estate vineyards today produce Syrah, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir that capture the essence of California's coolest regions. 375 cases produced.

94 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2013 Chardonnay Estate Vineyard is one of the more phenolic wines in this range, with a real sense of vertical structure that gives the wine its intensity and drive. Located in the Russian River Valley's cool climate Green Valley appellation, Keefer Ranch sits near the headwaters of Green Valley Creek and is planted on gentle well-drained slopes with Goldridge soil.

92 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2013 Pinot Noir Keefer Ranch is one of the juicier wines in the range, yet it retains the mid-weight style of the year at Failla. Rose petals, mint, hard candy, cinnamon and sweet red berries add nunace in a supple Pinot that presents a laid-back expression of Russian River exuberance.” Six BOTTLES available. 2013 Failla Pinot Noir, Savoy Vineyard, Anderson Valley $

Originally planted in 1991, the Savoy Vineyard is the newest in Failla's stable of high-quality Pinot Noir vineyards. “The Savoy Vineyard designation on a label is a stamp of superior quality.” –Prince of Pinot

92 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2013 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is quite different in style from Failla's Sonoma Coast Pinots, most notable in its prominent tannin profile. The flavors are dark and inward, but the Savoy structure gives an impression of pure energy. Graphite, crushed rocks and sweet red berries add the final notes of complexity.” Ten BOTTLES available.

2014 Favia ‘Linea’ Sauvignon Blanc, Coombsville $$$ Our dry-farmed Sauvignon Blanc vineyard is now in its seventh year. Our team farms the land organically, helping to bolster the vines’ own efforts. The grapes are pressed whole-cluster, and the juice fermented in a combination of neutral barrels and stainless steel, with just a touch of new oak. We prevent malolactic fermentation, in order to focus attention on the nuance and aromatic detail of the wine. 71% Sauvignon Blanc “Clone 1,” 29% Sauvignon Musqué. 224 cases made.

94 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2014 Linea (Sauvignon Blanc) is striking. Lemon oil, white flowers and mint take shape in a pedigreed, exquisitely beautiful Sauvignon from a dry-farmed site in Coombsville. The blocked malo style keeps the flavors bright and focused throughout, but it is the wine's textural finesse and feel that place it among Napa Valley's finest Sauvignons.”

2012 Favia ‘Suize’ Viognier, Shake Ridge Ranch, Amador County $$$ Capturing many of the characteristics we love about Californian white wine, Suize exudes sensual aromatics of a myriad of citrus fruits and beeswax, which are generously supported by a vibrant acidity with broad density. This wine is not produced every year, and it is with baited (citrusy, floral!) breath that we

share it with you and yours! 100% Viognier. 186 cases produced. 2012 Favia ‘Rompecabezas’, Shake Ridge Ranch, Amador County $$$

Our eighth vintage of Rompecabezas, Spanish for “jig-saw puzzle,” is inspired by the wines of the Southern Rhone, but of course is decidedly Californian in nature. 30% Grenache, 35% Mourvedre and 35% Syrah.

92 Points Wine Spectator | “A bit rustic, this offers plenty of moving parts, from rich, earthy blackberry flavors to cedar, spice and tobacco leaf hints, ending with gripping tannins. New elements emerge with every sip. Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache. Drink now through 2026. 485 cases made.” 2011 Favia ‘Quarzo’ Syrah, Shake Ridge Ranch, Amador County $$$

The seventh offering of our Syrah, Quarzo, hails from Ann Kraemer’s Shake Ridge Ranch. The intermixed quartz crystals, whittled down from large boulders throughout the vineyard, inspired the name Quarzo, Italian for “quartz.” 98.5% Syrah, 1.5% Viognier.

93+ Points Antonio Galloni | “A rich, powerful wine, the 2011 remains an infant. Expressive savory and floral notes begin to make an appearance, but only with great reluctance. This is another wine best buried in a cold corner of the cellar for at least another few years.” FOUR cases available. 2012 Favia ‘Cerro Sur’ Red Wine, Napa Valley $$$$

2012 marks our tenth vintage producing wine from a stunning two-acre block of Cabernet Franc planted nearly four decades ago at Rancho Chimiles. 62% Cab Franc, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon. 489 cases produced.

97 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cerro Sur is a real killer, demonstrating how well these two grapes blend together when crafted by two brilliant viticulturists and winemakers… This is pure genius and a great cuvée, not only showcasing the talents of its makers, but the brilliance of 2012. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.” 2012 Favia Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley $$$$

Each year we bottle a small offering of Cabernet Sauvignon, selected from barrels produced from Oakville and Coombsville. The 2012 vintage is roughly equal parts from these two distinctly different appellations. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 134 cases made.

98+ Points Robert Parker | “Their 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is extraordinary as well… This is a full-bodied, seamlessly constructed, beautifully textured, stunning wine with a 40- to 45-second finish as well as spectacular texture and length. This is another great wine that is flirting with perfection.” 2012 Favia ‘La Magdalena’ Red Wine, Napa Valley $$$$

Oakville Ranch, the source for La Magdalena, is perched at nearly 1,000 feet elevation, looking down on the appellation of Oakville. These soils, rich in iron, extremely rocky, but with enough clay to let the vines weather the sunny, dry conditions. 42% Cab Franc, 58% Cabernet Sauvignon. 154 cases produced.

100 Points Robert Parker | “Full-bodied and opulent, like Chanel’s newest haute-couture creation. This is a flawless, perfect effort that proves their mastery of this craft of winemaking. The finish goes on for a good 40-45 seconds.”

Thirst Wine Merchants | (405) 942-WINE | [email protected] | www.thirstwine.com

It is with great pride that we introduce the newest project from Dave Phinney & the Orin Swift team. This project is centered around a unique eight-acre vineyard located on the gravel rich soils of southern St. Helena. They choose to honor the man who originally planted this land/site

& name the winery after him. That man was George Beldon Crane, or simply G.B. Crane.

It is believed that G.B. Crane first established grapes on this site in the year 1885, making it one of the oldest vineyards in the Napa Valley. Although records are scarce, it was most likely planted as a field blend commonly known as “mixed blacks”. This field blend traditionally consisted of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan, & a smattering of lesser-known grape varieties such as Alicante Bouschet, Mourvèdre & Valdiguie.

They purchased the entire eight-acre vineyard only days before the 2012 grapes were harvested. A group of friends with a common goal to preserve this piece of viticultural history & produce a wine that both represented and respected that history.

There is a quote from John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath that sums up their feelings about this piece of land….

“Funny thing how it is. If a man owns a little property, that property is him, it’s part of him, and it’s like him… he can walk on it and handle it and be sad when it isn’t doing well, and feel fine when the rain falls on it, that property is him, and some way he’s bigger because he owns it.”

2013 G.B. Crane ‘El Coco’ Red Wine, Dr. Crane Vineyard, St. Helena $$

Of the eight acres in production, approximately four acres of old vine Zinfandel are one of G.B. Crane’s original plantings. Yes, that means that this four-acre block has been continuously farmed for nearly one hundred and thirty years. The site also boasts a 1.6 acre block of Cabernet Sauvignon, a 1.4

acre block of Petite Sirah, and two rows of Merlot. Rich aromatics of dark stone fruits and soft French oak mingle together to frame a very sophisticated entry with more than ample weight. The bright mid-pallet is replete with waves of concentration. High tones of ripe cherries and cassis come together and coat the mouth in richness. The finish is broad and expansive and lingers elegantly for over half a minute. 47% Old Vine Zinfandel, 42% Petite Sirah, 9% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 100% new French oak. 10 cases available.

2012 G.B. Crane Cabernet Sauvignon, Dr. Crane Vineyard, St. Helena $$$$$

As well as the four-acre old vine section there is also a 1.6 acre block of Cabernet Sauvignon, a 1.4 acre block of Petite Sirah, and two rows of Merlot. 2012 marks the first release of a Cabernet from this tiny block. Soft hints of toasted French oak dominate the hugely aromatic entry and provide ample

support to the generous array of fruit that provide the start to this wine. An immense mid-pallet explodes with a cacophony of dense dark chocolate and ripe Bing cherries. The oak found on the entry lingers and frames an almost endless finish replete with a full complement of flavors and ripe tannins. 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot & 1% Petite Sirah. 800 three-pack bamboo boxes produced (200 cases). 20 three-packs available.

2014 Hourglass Sauvignon Blanc, Calistoga $

In 2014, we added a new vineyard to the sites on Larkmead Lane that made up our inaugural 2013 vintage. We also added the Varozza Vineyard in St. Helena - a winemaker’s nirvana. Planted to head-trained Sauvignon Blanc some 45 years ago, this magical vineyard may be the oldest Sauvignon Blanc site in the Napa

Valley. The deeply rooted old-vine fruit adds a richness, depth and intensity to the more mineral driven Larkmead Lane sites, for another dimension to an already complex Sauvignon Blanc. Primary aromas of lemon and lime zest, orange blossom and Granny Smith apples echo on the palate with flavors of limeade, hay, white peach, and vanilla bean. 100% Sauvignon Blanc aged in stainless steel, new and seasoned French oak. 2013 Hourglass Merlot, Blueline Vineyard, Calistoga $$

91-93 Points Robert Parker | “The 2013s are all strong efforts displaying inky colors, great precision and ripeness, sweet tannin and an even stronger intense core of fruit than one finds in the terrific 2012s. The 2013 Merlot Blue Line is even better, richer and fuller than the 2012.” FOUR cases available.

2012 Hourglass Cabernet Sauvignon, Blueline Vineyard, Calistoga $$$$ 93 Points Antonio Galloni | 93 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Blue Line, which sees about 70% new oak, is a sexy, open-knit, lush, concentrated wine offering notes of fruitcake, blackcurrants, cedarwood, underbrush and wood spice. Powerful yet silky smooth, it should provide plenty

of pleasure over the next 10 years.” 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot aged for 21 months in 70% new French oak. ELEVEN cases available.

2012 Hourglass Cabernet Franc, Blueline Vineyard, Calistoga $$$$ 94 Points Antonio Galloni | 93 Points Robert Parker | “The complex, gorgeous 2012 Cabernet Franc Blue Line is composed of 83% Cabernet Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Petit Verdot. This comes from 22-year-old vines planted in rocky, gravelly soil. A spectacular effort, it boasts deep forest floor, black raspberry,

blueberry and wet gravelly aromas and flavors. Dense, full-bodied, opulent and fleshy, but not heavy, this killer Cabernet Franc should be consumed over the next decade.” FOUR BOTTLES available. 2012 Hourglass Cabernet Sauvignon, Hourglass Estate, St. Helena $$$$$

95+ Points Robert Parker | “The most expensive offering, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is fashioned from the estate’s 22-year-old, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon vines, and is aged in 90% new French oak for 20 months. It exhibits a dense purple color, sweet blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with notions of licorice, camphor

and toast. Full-bodied, dense, opulent and fleshy, it should drink well for 12-15 years. There is no reason to defer your gratification.” TWO cases available.

Situated deep in the heart of the gently rolling hills of Napa, Carneros, Hudson Vineyards produces grapes of distinction from uniquely situated sites. The winemaking team is a collaboration between three people, Lee Hudson, owner and operator, John Kongsgaard, consulting winemaker and Christopher Vandendriessche, production winemaker. We all firmly believe

that the wine is made in the vineyard, but the care and the attention to detail cannot stop there. Every effort possible is taken between the vineyard and you to make wines without compromise. 2013 Hudson Vineyards Chardonnay, Carneros $$

We pressed very gently to preserve acid and delicacy and went down to barrel directly with no settling. “Wild” yeast ferments started later than usual at 5 days. Malolactic and primary fermentations proceeded simultaneously and finished in mid-2014. As usual, we stirred the barrels weekly for added flavor

and to allow for extended aging with no added sulfur. This vintage developed more quickly than usual in barrel so we stopped stirring in December.. The resulting wine is dense, crisp, and flavorful with flinty notes and a core of sunny fruit. Barrel aging, 19 months in 80% new French oak. FIVE cases available.

2013 Hudson Vineyards ‘Pick Up Sticks’ Red Wine, Carneros $

2013 was a classic Northern California year; as near perfect as I can recall. The 2013 vintage produced exceptionally delicate and aromatic Grenache, atypically we blended in a small amount of the richer “press fraction” juice which added a bit of plumpness to the mid pallet. The Grenache and Syrah were fermented

separately in stainless tanks with a max temperature of 80°F to keep from blowing off the aromatics. The Viogner was whole cluster pressed and fermented in French oak and stirred weekly for 8 months for added complexity. The blend was assembled after one year in barrel and spent another 7 months in 2 year old French oak. Grenache, Syrah and Viogner. FIVE cases available.

2013 Hudson Vineyards Syrah, Carneros $$$ This is a beautiful example of the 2013 vintage from Hudson. This full figured red brings a mouthful of flavors without being heavy handed. Black currant, pepper, and hints of cherry dominate a palate that is complimented by fine tannic structure. This beguiling wine has what it takes to enjoy now or lay down for the

future. Malolactic started in tank and finished in barrels. The wine was racked once in December 2013 and bottling was in July 2015. 100% Syrah. FYI: This wine has not been reviewed yet, but Kongsgaard’s own bottling of 2013 Hudson Syrah was rated 98 points by Antonio Galloni and 97 points by Parker. FIVE cases available.

2012 Hudson Vineyards ‘Old Master’ Red Wine, Carneros $$$$

2012 was a vintage that made itself. The fruit was so perfectly ripe that the winemaker’s job was only to make sure nothing went wrong. Sensual and structured from the beginning, 80% new French oak helped further silken the finish. Merlot and Cab Franc were fermented separately in open top fermenters

with indigenous yeast over 3-4 weeks. Malolactic was allowed to complete in the barrel. The Merlot was racked only once, while the Cab franc needed an additional racking before blending after one year in barrel. Bottled in May 2014, unfined and unfiltered. Cabernet Franc & Merlot. 75 cases made. FOUR cases available.

93 Points Antonio Galloni | “What a pleasure it is to taste the 2012 Old Master, Lee Hudson's Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend. Dark, intense and muscular, the 2012 boasts serious depth and fabulous overall balance. The flavors are brooding and inward, yet there is so much going on in the glass. Black cherry jam, spices, grilled herbs and leather open up over time, but it is the wine's pure personality that really shines. What a gorgeous wine this is.”

"In the top tier of producers in Washington State, wild man Charles Smith fashions singular, exotic wines that never lack for richness or texture. While his wines can push the limits in some vintages and be

slightly controversial, there’s nothing controversial or over the top…they have beautiful purity of fruit, clean, integrated acid profiles and solid underlying structure. In almost all cases, given the quality,

they represent incredible values.” (Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate)

2012 SIXTO Chardonnay, Moxee Vineyard, Washington State $$ From 38 year-old, low-yielding vines. Moxee was planted in 1984, and is located east of Yakima and north of Moxee. 1450 feet elevation. The soil is Moxee silt loam with broken limestone. Focused and so transparent, an amazing layer-upon-layer wine. Concrete fermented, aged in 20% new French oak.

93 Points Robert Parker | “Coming from a warmer site and old vines (38-year-old) that are located northeast of Yakima city, the 2012 Chardonnay Moxee Vineyard (aged in 20% new French oak puncheons) gives up perfumed spice, lemon curd, toast and chamomile-like nuances to go with a medium-bodied, rounded, supple and yet fantastically pure and layered profile on the palate. I love the mid-palate here, and this is a rich, textured effort that’s geared for consuming over the coming 3 to 4 years.”

2012 SIXTO Chardonnay, Roza Hills, Washington State $$

At an elevation of 1350 feet above sea level, the vineyard is in a natural southern sloping bowl that sits on the southern slope of the Rattlesnake Hills, planted in 1977. From one of our warmer sites, think Washington not California. Concrete fermented, aged in 30% new French oak.

94 Points Robert Parker | ““The 2012 Chardonnay Roza Hills Vineyard comes from limestone soils that lie at an elevation of 1,300 feet outside the town of Zillah. Aged in 30% new French oak, it gives up impressive lemon and stone fruits, white flowers, warm spice and ample chalky minerality in its medium-bodied, layered, fabulously pure and rich profile. As with the other whites from this estate, it’s more than a little impressive.” 2012 K Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon, Stoneridge Vineyard, Wahluke Slope $

Stoneridge Vineyard is located northeast of the Wahluke Slope AVA, across the Saddle Mountains, near Royal City. 2008 is the first year we purchased anything besides Syrah there, but now we are taking almost the entire vineyard, which includes Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec. I said it’s

Bordeaux... then, I slapped Brennon... it’s Washington. True Cabernet. Fall in love with this wine. I did!

93 points Robert Parker | “A classic, structured effort, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Stoneridge Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) gives up lots of graphite, leafy herbs & dried violet nuances to go with ample kirsch & black cherry fruit. Focused, nicely balanced, with a full concentrated mid-palate, give it 2-3 years & enjoy bottles through 2027.” 2012 ‘The Boy’ Grenache, Walla Walla $

94 points Robert Parker | “The Boy is a sensational Grenache that has overflowing notes of strawberry, kirsch, licorice and ground pepper. Semi-translucent ruby in color, this full-bodied, layered, elegant, yet sweetly fruited beauty will continue to impress through 2022.” THREE cases available.

94 points Robert Parker | “There are few Malbec's from Washington State that come close to the quality of the 2012 Malbec Stoneridge Vineyard Broncho. Giving up lots of dark fruits, caramelized cherries, leather, cedary spice and earth, it's full-bodied, structured and concentrated, with enough tannin to warrant another year or two in the cellar. I suspect it will have 15 years of longevity.” Fifteen cases available. 2012 K Vintners ‘The Creator’ Cabernet/Syrah, Walla Walla $

Native yeast, hand punched down, lengthy maceration of whole berry Cabernet and whole cluster Syrah. Co-fermented, basket pressed, native malolactic. Aged in 70% new french oak for 22 months. 100% whole cluster. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah. From River Rock & Jack’s vineyards.

92-94 points Robert Parker | “The 2013 Charlotte (50% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and the rest Syrah) was cofermented in concrete tank and then aged in 600-liter puncheons. It has lots of savoriness in its kirsch, pepper, olive and meatiness, and on the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless. There's an almost Rayas-like perfume and complexity here, and I suspect it will drink nicely on release.”

2012 K Vintners ‘The Klein’ Blend, Klein Vineyard, Walla Walla $$ Oh God! First words from my mouth & F**K Yeah! I still can’t believe it. Amazing! This vineyard is located at the Southwestern end of the Walla Walla Valley. Its volcanic rock, with thin, wind-blown loess over basalt. The high elevation, 850

feet, means it doesn’t freeze & is a fairly windy site. This vineyard produces low yields & powerful, unique wines. 41% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc. 1.4 tons per acre; 100% whole berry; co-fermented; 33 days on skins; 80% new French barrique for 22 months.

96 points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Klein has fabulous Cabernet notes of currants, ground herbs, crushed rocks and graphite to go with a deep, full-bodied, layered, concentrated style on the palate. There’s an upfront feel here due to the wealth of fruit, but it has ample tannic grip through the mid-palate and finish. Give it a few years, it will knock your socks off for a least the following 10-15 years.”

2012 K Vintners Syrah ‘The Deal’, Sundance Vineyard, Wahluke Slope $ One of the oldest vineyards on the Wahluke Slope, planted in 1997. The site is topsoil over gravel, sand and broken down basalt. The vineyard is also a later ripening site allowing for great concentration. The Real Deal! 100% Whole Cluster Syrah; 43 Days on Skins; 40% New French Puncheons for 18 Months.

93 points Robert Parker | “The 2012 The Deal Syrah Sundance Vineyard is another great vintage here. Giving up lots of minerality in its classic Syrah nose of smoked meats, licorice, toasted spice and both kirsch and darker berry fruit, it’s volumptuous, full-bodied, concentrated and already drinking beautifully. Given its balance, it will have a decade or more of longevity.”

2012 K Vintners Syrah, Morrison Lane Vineyard, Walla Walla $ Oldest Syrah plantings in the Walla Walla Valley, planted in 1984. A classic K old school Syrah. 100% Whole Cluster Syrah; 42 Days on Skins; 35% New Oak for 19 Months.

93 points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Morrison Lane Syrah is one of the more classic, straight and focused Syrahs in the lineup. Showing lots of blackberry, kirsch, ground herbs and pepper, it’s full-bodied, balanced and even elegant, with plenty of tannic grip. Give it a year and enjoy bottles through 2027.” 2012 K Vintners Syrah, River Rock Vineyard, Walla Walla $

A trail blazing syrah from a rocky-river bed vineyard. Just one word comes to mind: WOW! A great wine. Native yeast, hand punched down, lengthy maceration. Basket pressed, native malolatitc. Aged 25% New French oak, 18 months in barrel. 100% Syrah. FOUR cases available.

94-96 points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Syrah River Rock Vineyards comes all from The Rocks region and was fermented with 100% whole clusters. Giving up massive minerality, with ground herbs, gunpowder, smoked earth, olive and assorted dark fruits…full-bodied richness, a layered, elegant feel that comes through on the finish.”

2013 K Vintners Syrah ‘The Beautiful’, Walla Walla $$ 100% River Rock Vineyard, owned and farmed by Dana Dibble and planted in 2001. The site is located south of Walla Walla in the old Walla Walla River bed; the soil is rocky and with great drainage. The clone of Syrah sourced is Tablas Creek, which thrives in the big river stone cobble. This is the warmest site in the Walla

Walla Valley. 96% Syrah co-fermented with 4% Viognier; 2 Tons per Acre; 100% Whole Cluster; 45 Days on Skins; 30% New French Oak. As complex as Marilyn Monroe’s evening bag.

94 points Antonio Galloni | 91 points Wine Spectator | “Lithe and savory, showing green olive, moss and wet leaf notes around a core of black cherry and plum fruit. The tannins are nicely contained, and the finish rolls on without excess weight. Best after 2017. 658 cases made.”

2012 K Vintners Syrah ‘The Hidden’, Northridge Vineyard, Wahluke Slope $ 100% Northridge Vineyard: loamy, fine sand over silica limestone, these ancient soils above the Missoula Flood plain are some of the best to grow fruit. This site is higher elevation and has cooler evenings, which creates later ripening, lots of minerality and concentration. 100% Whole Cluster

Syrah; 48 Days on Skins; 60% New French Oak for 22 Months. A hidden gem!

98 points Robert Parker | “One of the most impressive Syrahs from Washington… The 2012 The Hidden Syrah certainly doesn’t disappoint and has jaw-dropping good notes of black and blue fruits, ground pepper, violets, lavendar and smoked meats that flow, seamlessly to a volumptuously textured, full-bodied, still young and yet evolved Syrah that will benefit from short-term cellaring, and have 15 years or more of overall longevity. This is truly spectacular.” Please inquire about availability.

2012 K Vintners Syrah ‘Cattle King’, Snipes Mountain $$ 100% Upland Vineyard, located in the Snipes Mountain AVA in the heart of the Yakima Valley. With slopes facing in all four cardinal directions and an elevation that ranges from 750 to 1300 feet, Upland is some of the oldest and most diverse soils in the state - ancient, rocky soils mostly un-touched by the Missoula Floods. 2.3 Tons Per Acre; 100% Whole Cluster Syrah; 43

Days on Skins; 60% New Oak for 22 Months. Destined to be a K classic!

99 points Robert Parker | “One of the greatest Syrahs coming out of Washington is the 2012 Cattle King Syrah… Coming from the Upland Vineyard on Snipes Mountain, my notes start with ‘wow,’ and then include a few more expletives. Exhibiting sensational notes of blackberry, cassis, licorice, crushed flowers, crushed rocks and graphite, this inky colored 2012 is full-bodied, massively concentrated and seamless with incredible purity and length. If I had a bottle, I’d drink it tonight. Nevertheless, I’m sure it will evolve gracefully for at least another decade.” Please inquire about availability.

2012 Charles Smith Syrah ‘Royal City’, Stoneridge Vineyard, Columbia Valley $$$$

Only one is Royal City! Not just in a name, but in everything it is. Green and black olive, dry meat, roasted meat, camphor, warm earth, crushed rock. So elegant. Complex. Concentrated with finesse forever. Located northeast of the Wahluke Slope AVA, across the Saddle Mountains, near Royal City. Very rocky soils, in fact six different kinds, make up the complex profile of aptly

named Stoneridge. The vineyard is a mix of Malaga, silt, loam and big rocks of fractured basalt and caliche. It is a warm site with good air drainage and lots of wind. This windy site has naturally reduced yields and limited vigor encouraging robust, yet supple tannins that add to the aging potential of the wine. The thick-skinned fruit produces intense color and wild aromatics. 2008 was the first year we purchased anything besides Syrah from there, but now we are taking almost the entire vineyard to round out our top tier Charles Smith Wines portfolio. 2 Tons Per Acre; 100% Whole Cluster Syrah; 40 Days on Skins; 60% New Oak; 22 Months Aged on Lees in Puncheons.

99 points Robert Parker | “Another wine that flirts with perfection is the 2012 Royal City Syrah. From Stoneridge Vineyard in the Columbia Valley, it offers up a smorgasbord of aromas and flavors, including kirsch and dark fruits, gamey meats, pepper, liquid rock and olive brine. Insanely textured, with full-bodied richness and power, loads of sweet tannin and blockbuster length, give it a year or so and then drink this incredible Syrah over the following decade.” Please inquire about availability.

“Fifth-generation Napa natives, Maggy and I began our endeavor in the 1970s planting The Judge vineyard on the Kongsgaard family land near Napa. The inaugural Kongsgaard wines came in 1996. We now produce a handful of wines in our underground winery — a cave dug into the volcanic rock, high on the eastern rim of the Napa Valley where we have planted a spectacular mountain vineyard. We also direct the farming under long-term contracts on several perfect acres in the Napa Carneros and near the winery. These intensely farmed, shy-bearing vineyards and our traditional low-intervention winemaking produce powerful, graceful wines — vivid

expressions of vineyard and variety. Production is limited to what we, with our son Alex, can make with our own hands.” - John Kongsgaard

"John Kongsgaard is in search of the Holy Grail and these are among the most interesting, naturally made wines one will find on Planet Earth."

(Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate)

“Kongsgaard consistently makes the best Chardonnay in California today.” (Eric Asimov, The New York Times)

2013 Kongsgaard Chardonnay, Napa Valley $$$$

The exceptional 2013 wines all have the intense personalities that we find in the very best vintages when nature completely cooperates. Wild fermentations give the individual wines fragrance and richness that make them uniquely Kongsgaard. Robert Parker tasted our 2013s from the barrel

and concluded, "Kongsgaard is overflowing with liquid treasures." The Chardonnay Napa Valley is from our blocks of the Hudson and Hyde vineyards, ripened perfectly to give us wine that truly belongs in our Pantheon.

95-97 Points Robert Parker | 93-95 Points Antonio Galloni | “The spectacular 2013 Chardonnay (1,500 cases) exhibits notes of white peach, hints of apricots, pineapples and wet rocks and is amazingly full-bodied, fresh, rich, broad and savory with great fruit on the attack. It should turn out to be one of the estate’s finest Chardonnays given its fresh acids and minerality that buttress the wine’s big, bold, exuberant style. Drink now through 2022.” Please inquire about availability.

2013 Kongsgaard Syrah, Hudson Vineyard, Carneros $$$$$

The 2013 Syrah is an exotic masterpiece with its dense smoky, gamey intensity and profoundly long finish. Its spiritual antecedent lies in the northern Rhone between the Cote-Rotie and Hermitage. With this inspiration we have made one of the most distinctive Syrahs in California

from our tiny volcanic vineyard on the Hudson Ranch in the Napa Carneros, which we have made for 20 years. Indeed Robert Parker notes, "I know of no other Syrah that is remotely similar in style. It tastes like a Cote Rotie on steroids - lots of charcuterie, roast meat, smoked duck, spring flower, and black raspberry." Galloni found it to be an "exciting, viscerally thrilling wine with an exotic bouquet of bacon fat, black pepper, grilled herbs, game and graphite. Even with all the intensity, the Syrah remains utterly vivid and nuanced throughout." 320 cases produced

95-97 Points Robert Parker | 96-98 Points Antonio Galloni | “Not to be forgotten is the Côte Rôtie-like Syrah (about 300 cases). The full-bodied 2013 Syrah exhibits lots of charcuterie, roasted meat, smoked duck, spring flower, black raspberry and blackberry characteristics. I know of no other Syrah that is remotely similar in style. It tastes like a Côte Rôtie on steroids. Drink now through 2025.” Please inquire about availability.

2013 Lail ‘Georgia’ Sauvignon Blanc, Totem Vineyard, Napa Valley $$$$

This exquisite, Graves-like Sauvignon Blanc, Georgia is fermented and aged in all new French oak for 18 months before being bottled. 300 cases produced.

93-95 Points Antonio Galloni | 92-94 Points Robert Parker | “Lail's 2013 Sauvignon Blanc Georgia shows its typical textural breadth and richness, but the flavors have an extra kick of brightness in this vintage that is quite welcome. White flowers, sage, mint and a host of varietal notes inform the expressive, intense finish. The 2013 is shaping up to be a real beauty.” Please inquire. 2011 Lail ‘J. Daniel Cuvée’, Napa Valley $$$$

The flagship wine of Lail Vineyards, the J. Daniel is the 21st century interpretation of the family’s highly acclaimed Cabernet blends of the past, and is beautifully integrated, elegant and subtly Bordelaise blend that is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon.

94 Points Antonio Galloni | “Blackberry, cassis, leather and a hint of nutty oak on the rather reticent nose, with suggestions of superripe fruit that may come from some Calistoga fruit. Lush and savory on the palate, with coffee, mocha, clove and herbs nicely accenting the dark berry fruit.” THREE six-packs available. 2012 Lail ‘J. Daniel Cuvée’, Napa Valley $$$$$

The flagship wine of Lail Vineyards, the J. Daniel is the 21st century interpretation of the family’s highly acclaimed Cabernet blends of the past, and is beautifully integrated, elegant and subtle.

100 Points Robert Parker | “Absolutely perfect and one of the monumental wines of my long tasting trip in Napa is the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon J. Daniel Cuvée. Aged 20 months in 75% new French oak and representing 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three vineyard sources: one in Calistoga, one in Oakville and one in Howell Mountain. Robin Lail and winemaker Philippe Melka hit pay dirt with a wine that has an inky purple color, an almost amazing bouquet that reminded me of 1989 Chateau Montrose when it was young. Superb purity, an incremental, yet full-bodied mouthfeel, and an extravagant, layered texture and finish make for the finest wine Robin Lail has produced to date at her winery. Drink it over the next 25-35 years.” Please inquire.

2012 Lail ‘Mole Hill’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Howell Mountain $$$$$

Mole Hill is a three-acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard planted in 1993. It is nestled beside a gorge on Howell Mountain at 1700 feet with a western exposure. The gorge acts as a vacuum pulling summer fog up from the valley floor, creating a unique microclimate for the vineyard. In combination with soil depth, this

creates a spartan home for the vines, generating a concentration of flavors in the grapes. Mole Hill Cabernet Sauvignon is produced only in exceptional vintages and always in minute quantities. This is only the fourth time in twenty years that we have bottled this single-vineyard, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate vineyard at the top of Howell Mountain. Leonetti Cellar was founded by my parents in 1977 as Walla Walla’s first commercial winery. What is far less understood is that the presence of our family in Walla Walla spans over a century long into the deep silt loam of this valley. I grew up making weekend and summer trips the short distance down the old dirt road to the Leonetti farm they established in 1906, the same site where my father would come to plant his first commercial vineyard in 1974.

Our team works tirelessly to continue to improve on a defined “classic” that my parents have created. It is through our work that you will be witness to new and exciting opportunities that my generation will employ to continue the longevity of Leonetti to many generations after me. (Chris Figgins, winemaker) 2013 Leonetti Cellar Merlot, Walla Walla $$$

As pure and linear an expression of Walla Walla Merlot that you might imagine. This wine just makes me smile with pleasure and is everything I love about Walla Walla Merlot. The addition of 8% Cabernet Franc from old vines at the Leonetti Estate contributes lovely violet aromatics and glycerin to the

palate. Vineyard makeup: Loess, Mill Creek Upland, Leonetti Old Block. Merlot 92%, Cabernet Franc 8%. 15 months in new and once-filled French oak puncheons and neutral French oak botti. 1898 cases made.

94 Points Robert Parker | "The only 2013 I was able to taste from Leonetti, the 2013 Merlot is a blockbuster from this team that’s certainly one of the best examples of this variety in the state. Giving up gorgeously pure notes of blackcurrants, licorice, charcoal and Asian spice, this medium to full-bodied beauty has a voluptuous, layered and seamless texture, building, fine tannin and a terrific finish…it will have 20 years of longevity.” SEVEN six-packs.

2012 Leonetti Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla $$$$

Exceptionally dark. A simply classic Leonetti Cabernet, reminiscent of the delicious 2008 vintage. 2012 was an exquisitely warm growing season and all of our Cabernet vineyards performed brilliantly. Vineyard makeup: Seven Hills, Loess, Mill Creek Upland, Leonetti Old Block. 89% Cabernet

Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Aged 22 months in new and once filled French oak barrels. 2900 cases made.

96 Points Robert Parker | "The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon gives up knockout crème de cassis, scorched earth, lead pencil and burning ember-like qualities to go with a full-bodied, decadently textured profile on the palate. Possessing plenty of sweet tannin and ample concentration, it stays remarkably graceful and elegant on the palate. It will evolve nicely for two decades or more.” SEVEN six-packs available. 2011 Figgins Estate Red, Walla Walla $$$

FIGGINS was born from “the site”—Planting to the proper varietals, placement within the vineyard, trellising, and hundreds of other decisions that go into winegrowing with the ultimate goal —To elevate “the site” through the wine. Figgins Estate Vineyard is planted to several clones each

of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. The wine is aged for 20 months in 70% new French Oak & 30% second fill French Oak. 2150 cases made. SEVEN six-packs available.

93 Points Robert Parker | 93+ Points Stephen Tanzer | "53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot; from vines planted 1,500 to 1,750 feet above sea level. Pure, complex aromas of cassis, black cherry, bitter chocolate, mint, minerals, licorice and spicy oak. Sweeter and lusher than the Leonetti Reserve blend I tasted before it but less complex today… The tannins are huge but still a bit less tough than those of the Leonetti Reserve, and the wine’s inherent sweetness shows through on the very long aftertaste. From a cool site in a very cool year.”

“Mount Eden is one of the United States’ great heritage estates and a reference point winery. The Chardonnays and Pinots have a track record for aging spectacularly well. As outstanding as the Chardonnays and Pinots can be, I was also pretty surprised by the quality of the Cabernet Sauvignons. If

I am looking for an aged bottle of California Chardonnay or Pinot, Mount Eden is always at or near the top of my list.” (Robert Parker) 2011 Mount Eden ‘Estate’ Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mts. $$

For the Estate Bottled our focus is on long term ageability, expansiveness in the finish and terroir-driven mystery. In 2011 only 35% of our production met these rigorous standards. As is typical with our Estate Chardonnay, there are eight to twelve years of cellaring pleasure. 1692 cases made.

95 points Wine Spectator | “#11: Top100 of 2014! This stunning wine is deliciously rich and layered, with vibrant flavors of honeydew, honeysuckle, fig and mineral shaded by seductive toasty oak. The flavors build, displaying a deep measure of intensity and persistence. Drink now through 2024. 1,692 cases made. FIVE cases available. 2012 Mount Eden ‘Estate’ Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mts. $$

95 points Wine Spectator | “#5: Top100 of 2015! Spicy, toasty, aromatic oak offers an enticing start, with a fresh, vibrant core of lemon-lime, lemon curd, white peach and stone fruit that is very tight, dense, focused and persistent. Ends with a juicy Key lime aftertaste. Drink now through 2029. 1,986 cases made.”

2009 Mount Eden ‘Reserve’ Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mts. $$

The difference in making the Reserve Chardonnay and the Estate Chardonnay lies solely in a curious practice sometimes used in the making of renowned white Burgundies. Chardonnay that has been aged for ten months in barrel is then put it into a stainless steel tank with all the gross lees where it remains for

an additional ten months. During that time, all of the sediments (mainly yeast lees) are magically absorbed into the wine, similar to the process of making Champagne.

96 points Antonio Galloni | “The 2009 Chardonnay Reserve shows the Mount Eden style at its very best. A rich, seamless wine, the 2009 Reserve balances textural richness and elegance. Seemingly endless layers of fruit caress the palate in a silky, utterly polished Chardonnay that should drink well for at least 10-15 years. This is a magnificent showing from Mount Eden and proprietor Jeffrey Patterson.” ONE case available. 2012 Mount Eden ‘Estate’ Pinot Noir, Santa Cruz Mts. $$

94 points Wine & Spirits| “Between the oak (75 percent new), the stem character (about 40 percent whole cluster) and the spicy tones of the Mount Eden clone itself, this is a commanding California Pinot Noir for the cellar, a rugged beauty with length, substance and complexity that feels deliberate and mountain

grown. Cellar it for four or five years. 1,209 cases made.” TEN cases available.

2011 Mount Eden ‘Estate’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Cruz Mts. $$ 95 points Antonio Galloni | "Mount Eden's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon offers a striking interplay of ripe, flamboyant fruit and supporting mountain structure. Fresh, vibrant and energetic to the core, this stunning, beautifully delineated Cabernet Sauvignon might need another decade to show the full breadth of its

pedigree, but it's all there. Pinot Noir at Chardonnay get most of the attention at Mount Eden, yet the Cabernet can be every bit as intriguing, just as it is here. The blend includes 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot.”

93 points Robert Parker ǀ “The 2012 Proprietary Red Papillon is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Another big-time winner… Gorgeous aromas of white chocolate, blackberries, blackcurrants, blue fruits and toasty oak are followed by a full-bodied, layered

wine that builds incrementally. The tannins are sweet and well-integrated, and the acidity is sufficient for definition. It is a savory, hedonistic as well as intellectually pleasing wine to enjoy over the next decade or more.”

Also available in 1.5L format $$$$ 2013 Orin Swift ‘Mercury Head’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley $$$$

98 points Robert Parker ǀ “The 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in 50% new French oak, is the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Mercury Head. Certainly one of the more intriguing labels, with a real Mercury-head dime embedded in the glass bottle, this 4,500-case cuvée comes from blocks in

Taplin, Morisoli & Atlas Peak vineyards. The final blend is a selection of their best barrels, bottled & aged another six months prior to release. This is a killer Cabernet Sauvignon, full-bodied & multilayered, with stunning blueberry & blackberry fruit, floral acacia notes, a hint of brioche & subtle toasty oak followed by a massive, full-bodied wine with sweet tannin & beautifully integrated acidity, alcohol & wood. This profound Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well now & for 25+ years. Dave Phinney may well be 2015's winemaker of the year for this wine taster.” (Robert Parker)

“This operation has elicited considerable acclaim… First of all is the terroir, a stunning location high on Pritchard Hill, a neighborhood filled with Napa superstars, such as Colgin, Bryant Family, Continuum, and David Arthur. What is so striking about these three cuvees is their opulence,

silkiness, purity, and burgeoning complexity. I had heard terrific things about Ovid, and this trio lived up to my lofty expectations.” (Robert Parker) 2012 OVID. Red Wine, Pritchard Hill $$$$$

96 Points Antonio Galloni | 95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Ovid is another superb, pedigreed wine. Here, too, the style is built on silkiness and total sense of refinement. Weightless, perfumed and silky, the 2012 opens up gradually in the glass, but it remains a bit shocked by its recent bottling. Readers

need to be patient here. There is a translucent beauty to the dark red stone fruit, spice and leather nuances, but in the end, the 2012 is really a wine of textural polish and pure pleasure.” 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. TWENTY three-packs available.

2012 OVID Experiment NO. L2.2, Pritchard Hill $$$$$

The 2012 Experiment L2.2 wine celebrates the intermingling of these iconic grapes. In this concise and polished blend, the articulate Cabernet Sauvignon sets the stage, contributing black cherry, boysenberry, anise and ample tannins, and then the Merlot

steps in, rounding out and softening the wine while adding silky texture and plush red fruit. How to decode an experiment label: L = Left Bank \\ 2 = two varieties \\ .2 = 2012. 72.67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27.33% Merlot. FIFTEEN 3-packs available.

2012 OVID Experiment NO. V6.2, Pritchard Hill $$$$$ V is for Verdot... Petit Verdot, that is. Petit Verdot is a grape that is usually used in very small quantities (like 2% or 3%) in Bordeaux blends, adding deep notes, purple pigment and spiciness to the mix. Ovid's Petit Verdot comes from a tiny block and is unusually

rich and balanced -- especially so in 2012 -- which inspired us to give it a more prominent role in our latest experiment blend. Cabernet Sauvignon contributes great structure plus boysenberry and black cherry, while Cabernet Franc adds violets, sage and lush red fruit. Complementing these is the Petit Verdot, with its concentrated and savory bass notes of cardamom, allspice, blackberry and bacon. Experiment V6.2 has depth, dimension, and one more v-word: Verve. How to decode an experiment label: V = Verdot \\ 6 = Block 6 \\ .2 = 2012. 68.31% Cabernet Franc, 19.49% Petit Verdot, 12.20% Cabernet Sauvignon. FIFTEEN 3-packs available.

As a winemaker, Paul Hobbs is highly regarded for his ability to identify exceptional vineyards along with his pioneering, innovative work with new and historical sites & regions. His success has inspired a wealth of nicknames among the press, from quiet trendsetter to prospector to truffle-hunting dog. First hired by Robert Mondavi for his expertise in oak aging, he then joined

the Opus One team for their first six vintages before founding his own winery in 1991. 2012 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

$$$$ 93 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon with the Paul Hobbs moniker is pretty serious wine that could easily win many a tasting. Dense purple in color, with notes of blackcurrants, blackberry, charcoal and incense, the

wine is full-bodied, opulent and a big-time winner. This is a stunner that’s drinking well already and yet promises to age well for 15-20 years.” TEN cases available.

2011 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer: Las Piedras, Saint Helena $$$$$

90 Points Robert Parker | “The single vineyard offerings include the elegant 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, an impressive wine exhibiting a dense ruby/purple color, creamy richness, lots of crème de cassis,

licorice and forest floor, a complete palate from the attack to the finish with no holes, vegetal characteristics or astringency. While less powerful than this cuvee can be in a great vintage, it still delivers the goods. Drink it over the next decade.” THREE BOTTLES available.

2012 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer: Dr. Crane, Saint Helena $$$$$ 98 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane moves more toward the wet rock, blueberry, raspberry fruit spectrum, but still stays dark and foreboding, very concentrated and full-bodied. The great terroir comes

through and the wine is distinctive, singular, opulent and rich. Another fabulous success from Paul Hobbs and one more showcase wine for this great vineyard. Anticipated maturity: now-2032.” TWO BOTTLES available.

“Aaron Pott is about to become the next brilliant winemaking consultant to burst out from the shadows of consulting with his own bevy of sensational and individualistic wines. His résumé is impressive, having worked with the likes of the late Christine Valette at Château Troplong-Mondot, Michel Rolland, and John Kongsgaard at Newton. He is doing some terrific consulting work, but he is saving some of his most interesting projects for himself...” (Robert Parker)

Pott 'La Carte et le Territoire' Cabernet Franc, Young-Inglewood Vineyard 2012, St. Helena $$$$

Everyone’s heard of the Rutherford bench and the Oakville bench, these deep fans of alluvial gravel that provide optimum drainage and soil profile for great wines. And everyone’s heard of St. Helena, the little town of million-dollar homes in Napa Valley. But few realize that there is a great bench in St.

Helena too because most of it is covered in garage-mahals and landscaping—most, but not all. I discovered a section of it on Inglewood Lane that grows killer Bordeaux varietals. FOUR cases available.

95 Points Robert Parker | 94 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2012 Cabernet Franc La Carte et Le Territoire comes from the Young-Inglenook Vineyard, which is composed of alluvial gravel. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it is a beautiful, dense purple-colored wine with lots of mulberry, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, a lush, opulent, full-bodied texture, and stunning purity as well as depth. Drink this super 2012 over the next 10+ years.” Pott 'Kaliholmanok’ Cabernet Sauvignon, Kicu- Ma Vineyard 2012, Spring Mountain District $$$$

It is a rare pleasure to experience a vineyard’s entire life, from its inception, through the development process to reaping the fruits of its harvest. This is the case with Kaliholmanok. From my first glimpse of this parcel, with its red dirt & natural terraces surrounded by trees, I knew that here was terroir that

would produce wines of exceptional quality: there was a mixture of Aiken, Boomer & Forward soils, on moderate slopes with all sorts of aspects, a no-brainer. Located at the highest reaches of Spring Mountain, you can see the sea from the very top. Weather at Kaliholmanok can be unpredictable & sometimes unforgiving in winter. Kaliholmanok is a native Wappo Native American word meaning: “naked woods people friendly”, and refers to the folk of a tributary of the Napa River – Ritchie Creek – that flows from Spring Mountain. After a three year hiatus, Kaliholmanok returns this year with a vengeance: a wine of keen power & endless ageability. FOUR cases available.

95+ Points Robert Parker | 92 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2012 Kaliholmanok possesses plenty of blueberry, black raspberry and spring flower characteristics. It comes from geologically diverse soils with lots of the red Aiken dirt present. A full-bodied, layered mouthfeel as well as tremendous density and purity are found in this sensational Cabernet. Slightly more backward than some of its siblings, it should drink well for 12-15+ years.”

Thomas Rivers Brown “Thomas Rivers Brown (TRB) is the nation’s hottest winemaker. In 2008, he made history as the youngest winemaker to receive a perfect 100-point score from Robert Parker – and he received two of them, for the 2006 Schrader “Old Sparky” and 2006 Schrader CCS Cabernet Sauvignons. The next vintage, with the same two wines, he again received two 100-point scores from Parker, and also received two 100-point scores from the Wine Spectator’s James Laube. And it’s been more of the same ever since… He was Food & Wine’s ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 2010, and in addition to Schrader, he’s the winemaker behind highly regarded labels like Outpost, Maybach, Revana, Pulido~Walker, and about a dozen others.” -Terroirist

“When Napa Cabernet is debated, Brown’s name is increasingly mentioned. Of all the spectacular Cabernets made in the past decade, his is one of the most inspiring collections. Since 2000, he has

made a record ten 100-point wines.” (James Laube, Wine Spectator)

Pulido~Walker is the culmination of a patient journey toward the possible. Under the watchful

eye of our winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown (Schrader, Outpost, Revana), we chose two remarkable vineyard sites where the natural alchemy of geography, soil, climate, and clone combine to yield a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon greater than the sum of its parts.

2012 Pulido~Walker Cabernet Sauvignon, Panek Vineyard, Saint Helena $$$$$

What makes Clone 6 especially compelling is its inherent structure. This small berry’s thicker skin gives the 2012 vintage plenty of backbone to balance the more fruit-generous qualities of the valley floor. The wine has enough tannin to buffer the caramelized brown sugar and maple syrup elements that appear year

after year. After 20 months barrel aging in 100% French oak, we bottled without fining or filtration. 265 cases produced.

95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Panek Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (clones 6, 7 and 169) from a vineyard situated near the well-known Vineyard 29, on a hillside north of St. Helena. A classic 2012 – dramatic and flamboyant – with blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with melted licorice, white chocolate, espresso roast and a touch of wood. Full-bodied, deliciously round and succulent, it is a hedonistic concoction of yummy fruit, glycerin and silky tannins. Consume it over the next 10-15 years.” SEVEN wood-box THREE-PACKS available.

2012 Pulido~Walker Cabernet Sauvignon, Melanson Vineyard, Pritchard Hill $$$$$

Between boulders clinging stubbornly to the steep slopes of Pritchard Hill, the Melanson Vineyard sits east of Oakville among some of the most highly regarded and closely held vineyard properties in the Napa Valley. Vines grow at elevations from 1,100 to 1,380 ft. above sea level, in fractured serpentine and

clay soils laden with igneous and seabed rock. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (clones 7 & 337) aged for 20 months in 100% French oak (80% new barrels). 245 cases produced.

94+ Points Robert Parker | “The dense purple-colored 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard possesses more weight, structure and fruit richness than the 2011 as well as more tannin. The wine is loaded with pure blackberry and blueberry fruit intermixed with licorice, camphor and forest floor. Full-bodied and opulent with some tannin that kicks in in the back, it will benefit from several years of cellaring, and should drink well for two decades.”

American Classics | “Year-in and year-out this is one of the most interesting as well as fascinating group of wines and projects in Napa Valley. First, Schrader has two committed owners, secondly a brilliant winemaker in Thomas Brown, and

thirdly, one of the true first-growth vineyard sites in all of Napa Valley, the famed Beckstoffer-owned To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. There is also a new Beckstoffer vineyard in Oakville called Las Piedras. In top vintages, Schrader’s Beckstoffer Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines can be as good as money can buy ... anywhere in the world.” (Robert Parker)

Mini-Vertical: Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer Las Piedras ‘LPV’, St. Helena $$$$$

The Las Piedras Vineyard, a name that translates to “the stones” in Spanish, is an exceptional rolling estate in North East St. Helena district that carries a rich viticultural history dating back to its founding by Edward Bale in the 1840s. An exceptional terroir makes this vineyard unique, where the vines contour to the

gentle slope and live in rocky soil that creates a perfectly stressed environment ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. Clones 4 & 337.

2012: 96-98 Points Robert Parker | “There are 600 cases of the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard LPV. The best example I have seen of Cabernet Sauvignon from this vineyard to date, it offers lots of flowery, blueberry and blackberry fruit interwoven with notions of lead pencil shavings, loamy soil, unsmoked cigar tobacco, incense and forest floor. This tremendously complex, intense, full-bodied 2012 flirts with perfection as many of Schrader’s amazing wines do. Bravo!” Please inquire about availability.

2013: 98-100 Points Robert Parker | “These wines share the same characteristics with the 2012s and I’ll have a greater peg on them once they’re in bottle, but as you can tell, the production ranges from a very small 240 cases of the Georges III in Rutherford to 640 cases of the Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon LPV. Wines, at least from barrel, that have three-digit score potential include the Cabernet Sauvignon RBS from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, the Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon T-6 and the Cabernet Sauvignon LPV from the Las Piedras Vineyard. Bravo!” Please inquire about availability.

Mini-Vertical: Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer To-Kalon ‘T6’, Oakville $$$$$

Originally planted by pioneer Hamilton Crabb in 1868, To Kalon – meaning “highest beauty” in Greek – is a noble “first growth” estate in Oakville that has established itself as the preeminent source of Napa Valley’s finest grapes. The vineyard is defined by its high mineral content and exceptional drainage and

offers optimal north-south sun exposure by day with cool coastal breezes at night which we feel is the ideal environment for growing our Cabernet Sauvignon. 100% Clone 6.

2012: 95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard T6 is not terribly different [from the other To-Kalon wines], but Clone 6 is believed to be old Bordeaux clones brought over to Napa Valley. The wine has terrific fruit intensity, blackcurrants, blackberry, licorice… Deep, full-bodied, powerful and rich, this, again, shows the vintage’s voluptuous texture, full-bodied power and richness.” Please inquire about availability.

Mini-Vertical: 2012 Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon, Beckstoffer To-Kalon ‘RBS’, Oakville $$$$$

In the words of Henry Hartman, “success always comes when preparation meets opportunity.” With more than a decade of experience in the vineyard we definitely had the preparation part down, however we were happily surprised by the unlimited opportunity given to us by Mother Nature in 2012. The growing

conditions were beyond fabulous, provding the double benefit of phenomenal quality as well as grand abundance, a winemaker’s dream. Serendipitous and trouble-free, the pristine conditions of the season delivered a harvest with both marvelous quality and ample quantity, an ideal combination. 100% Clone 337.

2012: 96-100 Points Robert Parker | “The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS is one of the potential candidates for perfection. Half the crop was thinned out and the result is a wine with incredible aromas of lead pencil shavings, licorice, creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur, roasted coffee beans and vanilla. The good news is there are 625 cases of this sensational wine.” Please inquire about availability.

2013: 98-100 Points Robert Parker | “Wines, at least from barrel, that have three-digit score potential include the Cabernet Sauvignon RBS from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, the Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon T-6 and the Cabernet Sauvignon LPV from the Las Piedras Vineyard. PNV: 2011 Schrader Cabernet Sauvignon, ‘TFA Cuvée’ PNV—Lot 6, Napa Valley $$$$$ For the 2013 PNV auction, Fred Schrader and winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown are

proud to present a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that offers an enticing mix of ripe

black and red fruit flavors with a lusciousness and complexity that carry through to

a sophisticated, persistent finish. This cuvée is blended from the most significant vineyard blocks in our program,

with specific barrel lots chosen for their enticing and multi-layered aromatics. Purchased at 2013 Premiere Napa

Valley Auction for $25,000. Each bottle is hand-numbered and signed by the winemaker. FIVE cases produced.

“From the release of the 2001 vintage, the winery's first effort,

Sea Smoke was a near instant success. With the coveted site and

a talented winemaking team, Sea Smoke quickly became one of

the more sought after Pinot Noirs in California. Sold almost

exclusively to mailing list customers, the wine joined the ranks of

the "hard to get your hands on them" Pinots like Marcassin,

Rochioli, and Kosta Browne.” (PinotFile)

2012 Sea Smoke ‘SEA SPRAY’ Blanc de Noirs, Sta. Rita Hills $$$ Hand-harvested in late August of 2012, the Pinot Noir for this methode champenoise sparkling wine is the result of a careful cluster selection from Sea Smoke’s estate vineyard. The grapes were gently pressed following an evening in our cold room, then transferred to stainless tanks to begin a long, cool

fermentation, which was completed in once-used and neutral French oak barrels. Following nine months of sur lie aging in barrel, the wine was bottle aged an additional 24 months en tirage prior to disgorging. The wine was finished with no dosage, to preserve its finesse. 100% Sea Smoke Estate Pinot Noir aged in once-used and neutral French oak barrels. The nuanced nose expresses cranberries, lavender, fresh bread and lemon curd. The wine enters the palate with energetic freshness and finishes with delightful length. Please inquire.

2012 Sea Smoke Chardonnay, Sta. Rita Hills $$

95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2013 Chardonnay is the first vintage to see aging in a new foudre. It offers similar orchard and stone fruits, brioche and white flowers. Its acidity, oak and fruit are all beautifully integrated. One of the few whites from the region to really offer terrific texture and depth, this gorgeous

2013 is full-bodied, layered and fresh, with classic precision and length on the finish. It will have a decade of longevity.” The 2013 Sea Smoke Chardonnay aged for a total of 16 months in 55% new French oak. Please inquire.

2013 Sea Smoke ‘SOUTHING’ Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills $$

Southing refers to the south-facing hillside bluffs found on our estate vineyard. Each year, our goal for this wine is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. Southing is a true expression of the terroir of Sea Smoke Vineyard: seductive flavors and fine tannins complimented by cool climate

acidity. 100% Sea Smoke Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir aged for 16 months in French Oak (55% new).

92 Points Robert Parker (’12 vintage) | “The more supple, elegant and silky Pinot Noir of the two releases… It offers terrific notes of black raspberries, cassis, subtle oak and a touch of rose petal to go with a medium-bodied, silky, elegant, yet still textured and sexy profile on the palate. Just a joy to drink, it will nevertheless evolve gracefully on its balance.” Please inquire.

2013 Sea Smoke ‘TEN’ Pinot Noir, Sta. Rita Hills $$$

Ten is named for the ten Pinot Noir clones found on our estate vineyard. Our most masculine wine, it is brooding and intense, with firm, mature tannins and a long, velvety finish. Ten is not for the faint-of-heart and has been known, on occasion, to convert even the most fanatic Cabernet lover. 100% Sea Smoke

Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir (ten clones) aged for 16 months in French Oak (65% new).

95 Points Robert Parker (’12 vintage) | “A much bigger, richer Pinot Noir, the 2012 Pinot Noir Ten is a cellar selection chosen with the focus on structure and richness. It's another wine from this estate that deliver tons of flavor authority while never seeming heavy, cumbersome or over the top. I wish more estates would make wine in this style.” Please inquire.

“Celebrating 30+ years of consistent quality and both critical and commercial success, Shafer Vineyards, one of the most

impeccably run wineries in the world, is a wonderful family operation that deserves all the success they have earned.”

(Robert Parker)

2011 Shafer Hillside Select, Stags Leap District (750 mL) $$$$$

(1.5-liter) $$$$$ (3-liter) $$$$$

96 Points Robert Parker | “Possibly the Cabernet Sauvignon of the vintage, is Shafer’s 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Hillside Select. With opaque black/purple

color and notes of subtle burning charcoal embers, blueberry, blackberry and graphite, the wine has a certain Bordelais minerality, but then the richness of Napa kicks in. It’s full-bodied (somewhat unusual for a 2011) with lighter tannins, and no doubt the wine will be on a faster evolutionary track than vintages such as 2010, 2012 and 2013. To be able to produce a compelling wine like this is a testament of their extraordinary skills and craftsmanship. This wine can be drunk now, or cellared for another 15-20 years. Year in year out, this is one of the superstar wineries, not only in Napa Valley and all of California, but in the entire world.” TEN six-packs.

“Probably no one in Northern California has done more for the renaissance and resurrection of old vine Zinfandel than Larry Turley. He started Turley Cellars after selling most of his interest in Frog’s Leap Winery to his original partner, John

Williams. The Turley Cellars project was founded in 1993, and is now over 20 years of age. The great thing about Larry Turley is that he’s quick to admit he’s never met an old vine he’s not fond of. As a result, they farm and buy fruit from 35 different vineyards, with some of them dating back to the late 1800s, long before Prohibition. There are at least 30-plus separate wines, and some super-talented winemakers have worked for Turley – first Ehren Jordan and more recently Tegan Passalacqua. I have praised these wines from the beginning and, to my surprise, older vintages of 10 to 15 years – much older than I generally recommend drinking Zinfandel – have aged remarkably well. While Turley’s Petite Syrahs are probably 50-year wines, most of the Zinfandels are best drunk for their exuberant and robust fruit and personality in their first 8-10 years of life.” (Robert Parker, April 2015)

2013 Turley Zinfandel ‘Cedarman’, Howell Mountain $

Cedarman is a proprietary blend of fruit from both Rattlesnake Ridge and Dragon Vineyards. Though primarily Zinfandel, we use a small amount of Petite Syrah from the Rattlesnake vineyard as well. The result is a truly powerful, dense, and wild wine long on flavor.

97+ Points Robert Parker | “This is profound wine. Inky ruby/purple, with notes of blackcurrants, blackberries and a floral component as well, this full-bodied, stunningly rich, concentrated and structured Zinfandel is loaded. Dense and powerful (15.8% alcohol), the wine will last for 10-15 or more years. This is a great, great effort in what looks to be an unreal vintage in terms of quality for Turley… this is amazing stuff.” Please inquire. 2013 Turley Zinfandel, Pesenti Vineyard, Paso Robles $

This certified organic estate-owned vineyard was planted in the 1920s on primarily limestone soil. Though the vines are also head-trained & dry-farmed, the soil plays the most important role in distinguishing this vineyard on the west side of Paso Robles. The wines have a lightness and aromas unique to the site,

with crushed-mineral and floral characteristics not normally seen in Zinfandel.

94 Points Robert Parker | “This wine smells like an exploding black cherry fruit bomb. Gorgeous notes of kirsch liqueur and raspberries, an almost laser-like minerality and crispness are present in this full-bodied, beautiful wine, which seems remarkably light on its feet for its power and richness. This full-bodied, stunningly pure beauty is another great success for Turley in 2013. Drink it over the next decade.” Please inquire.

2013 Turley Zinfandel, Fredericks Vineyard, Sonoma Valley $

This certified organic vineyard, owned by Dick Fredericks, was planted in 1937. Though technically within the Sonoma Valley appellation, the vineyard is actually located about 900 feet up along very steep contoured terraces. We feel lucky to work with this vineyard, as it is very rare to find hillside head-trained

old vines. The wines are high in acid, bright, balanced, with well-integrated fruit & tannin.

95 Points Antonio Galloni | 94+ Points Robert Parker | “Deep purple, full-bodied, with great freshness and precision, the old vines have produced gorgeously pure fruit, plenty of blackberry, black cherry and currant notes, and a zesty mouthfeel. There’s no sense of heaviness or weight to this rich, concentrated Zinfandel from a vineyard at an elevation of approximately 900 feet. The balance between acid, fruit and tannin is impressive. Drink it over the next 8-10 years.” Please inquire.

2013 Turley Zinfandel, Ueberroth Vineyard, Paso Robles $

Planted in 1885, Ueberroth is the oldest of our Zinfandel vineyards. Located closer to the sea than any other site we work with, you can smell the salt air from the top of the hill. These ungrafted, head-trained vines are planted on very steep limestone slopes. The high pH of the soil makes for a very high acid wine,

elevating the ripe fruit flavors from this historic certified organic vineyard.

95 Points Robert Parker | “Consistently spectacular, the 2013 Zinfandel Ueberroth Vineyard comes from one of the oldest Zinfandel vineyards in California (planted in 1885). The ungrafted, head-trained vines from steep limestone slopes just down the road from Justin Smith’s Saxum Winery have produced a monster and a fascinating Zinfandel in 2013. This full-bodied tour de force in Zinfandel winemaking should drink well for a decade or more.”

2013 Turley Zinfandel, Hayne Vineyard, St. Helena $$ The Hayne Vineyard is one of our most exceptional sites. Located in an idyllic warm yet breezy spot on the west side of St. Helena, we are honored to have worked with this vineyard and the Hayne family for the past twenty years. The head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel vines were planted in 1902 and 1903, and they produce wines of power and elegance year in and year out.

95+ Points Robert Parker | 94+ Points Antonio Galloni | “Often a candidate for the top Zinfandel in any vintage (along with the Jackass Hill of Martinelli, a handful of Zinfandels from Carlisle, and more recently Bedrock and Limerick Lane), this wine is from a vineyard on the west side of St. Helena. The 2013 has a dense ruby/plum color and is full-bodied and rich, with brambleberry, blackberry, black cherry fruit and a full-bodied mouthfeel… It’s all there, and this wine seems loaded, but I suspect my comments and score are conservative based on what will ultimately turn out in bottle.” Please inquire.

2012 Turley Petite Syrah, Hayne Vineyard, St. Helena $$ The Hayne Vineyard is one of our most exceptional sites; we are honored to have worked with this vineyard and the Hayne family for the past twenty years. The head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel vines were planted in 1902 and 1903.

96-100 Points Robert Parker | “Flirting with perfection, the 2012 Petite Syrah Hayne Vineyard has off-the-charts richness as well as opaque black/blue colors, enormously concentrated red, blue and black fruits intermixed with camphor and creosote notes. It will still be offering provocative and prodigious drinking 30 to 40 years from now.” Please inquire about availability. Please inquire.

“VHR, Vine Hill Ranch is nestled between Harlan Estate and Dominus. Not bad for neighbors. The Phillips family has owned Vine Hill Ranch since 1959, but records show the land has been cultivated as far back as 1884. The Phillips family has supplied some of the Napa Valley’s finest estates with

fruit for generations, but only began making their own wines with the 2008 vintage. An all-star team led by winemaker Francoise Peschon and viticulturist Mike Wolff look after every aspect of the wines with meticulous care. Although hardly a ‘new’ property, Vine Hill Ranch gets my vote as the single most exciting emerging winery in Napa Valley.” –Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate 2012 VHR Cabernet Sauvignon, Vine Hill Ranch, Oakville $$$$$

“This winery receives considerable praise (justifiably so) for their stylish, immensely flavorful and complex Cotes de Beaune-styled Pinot Noirs. They are obviously aware of how fragile Pinot Noir is because Williams Selyem is one of only a handful of American wineries to capture the elusive Pinot Noir perfume without stripping the wine with multiple manipulations and clarifications… The Williams Selyem winery has long

been a reference point for complex, sumptuous Pinot Noir…there is no doubting that these are well-made wines which are, for the most part, age-worthy Pinot Noirs which, with some patience, reward cellaring.” (Robert Parker)

2013 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast $$$ 91 Points Wine Enthusiast | “A full-bodied blend from different vineyard sites, this wine celebrates darker, denser aspects of black cherry and cranberry alongside a savory, herbal component that persists on the palate, finished up by a mouthwatering mix of orange and chocolate. Complex and robust in tannin…” FOUR cases available.

2012 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Burt Williams Morning Dew Ranch, Anderson Valley $$$$ 94 Points Wine Enthusiast | “The color of this wine is deep, with a bright ruby rim. Effusive and enticing aromas of spicy cinnamon, toasted oak and red cherry notes meld into black cherry and pomegranate flavors. The balance is just right,

the texture is snappy, appetizing and rich at the same time and the finish lingers.” ONE case available. 2011 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview AVA $$$$

95 Points Wine Enthusiast | 92 Points Stephen Tanzer | “One sip is all it takes to be blown away by this Pinot’s beauty. It’s exquisitely crafted, a testament to both the vineyard and the winery’s oenological talent. The palate is bright and tangy with acidity, and incredibly complex flavors of wild berries,

mushrooms, balsam, cola and Asian spices. It’s dramatic now, but will continue to improve for at least 15 years.” Six BOTTLES available. 2012 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyard, Fort Ross-Seaview AVA $$$$

95 Points Wine Enthusiast | 91 Points Stephen Tanzer | “Pungent, fresh, mineral-accented red fruits and Asian spices on the nose. Lively and precise in the mouth, offering tangy cherry and raspberry flavors and a touch of orange pith. Finishes with very good clarity and cut, with dusty tannins adding shape.”

Eighteen BOTTLES available.

2012 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir, Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard, Russian River Valley $$$$ 95 Points Wine Enthusiast | 94 Points Stephen Tanzer | “Sweet, dense and focused, offering intense red and dark berry flavors and a hint of smoked meat. Very complex already but history suggests that this pinot will be shutting down

soon, after which it should be forgotten about for at least another six years or so.” Eighteen BOTTLES available.

“Vietti’s commitment to quality across their entire range is commendable. I can’t think of too many estates that can match Vietti for the number of utterly delicious bottlings that emerge

from these cellars in Castiglione Falletto.” -Robert Parker

2010 Vietti Barolo ‘Lazzarito’ DOCG $$$$$ 96 Points Antonio Galloni | 95 Points Robert Parker | 94 Points Stephen Tanzer | “The 2010 Barolo Lazzarito shows an expansive personality with pretty tones of crushed rose and red berry fruit that give the wine a delicate, feminine approach. The mouthfeel is fine and polished with a great sense of purity and

balanced freshness. Drink: 2018-2035.” ONE six-pack available.

2011 Vietti Barolo ‘Lazzarito’ DOCG $$$$$ 96 Points Robert Parker | 95 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2011 Barolo Lazzarito is a landmark wine and one of the best expressions made region-wide in this challenging vintage. The bouquet is gorgeous thanks to the never-ending aromas of dark fruit, licorice and balsam herb that peel off the top. The

Lazzarito vineyard is characterized by thick soils and deep shifts between daytime and nighttime temperatures. These are important factors that lead to quality fruit despite the summer heat.” THREE six-packs available.

2010 Vietti Barolo ‘Raverra’ DOCG $$$$$

96 Points Robert Parker | 100 Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2010 Barolo Ravera is one of the greatest wines I have ever tasted from Vietti. Stunning. It's as simple as that. Freshly-cut flowers, mint, spices, crushed rocks and pine jump from the glass in a vivid, crystalline wine endowed with captivating purity,

clarity and finesse. The 2010 takes hold of the palate and never lets up, gaining body, breadth and volume over time. The Ravera represents a bit of a stylistic departure for Vietti and a return to a more traditional style of winemaking. The 2010 was done entirely in cask, with minimal racking. In its early years, it was virtually impossible to taste as the reductive winemaking style gave a wine with closed aromatics and searing tannin. Today, the 2010 is beginning to blossom into an epic Barolo. The 2010 Ravera may well be the single greatest Barolo Luca Currado has ever made. It is also a wine that, along with the Barolos of Elvio Cogno, show just how much potential the hills of Ravera have to offer. Readers who can find the 2010 Ravera should not hesitate. It is a legendary, benchmark Barolo in the making.” ONE six-pack available.

2011 Vietti Barolo ‘Raverra’ DOCG $$$$$

96 Points Antonio Galloni | 95 Points Robert Parker | “The 2011 Barolo Ravera is once again the most vibrant and nuanced of the Vietti Barolos. Freshly cut flowers, crushed rocks, mint and bright red stone fruits are all shaped by a very classic sense of mineral-inflected drive that is such a Ravera signature.

It's great to see this high-altitude district in Novello finally getting its due.” TWO six-packs available.

2011 Vietti Barolo ‘Brunate’ DOCG $$$$$

94 Points Robert Parker | 93+ Points Antonio Galloni | “The 2011 Barolo Brunate is a wine of enormous pedigree, although it does not fully reach the aspiring heights of the 2010 and 2009 vintages immediately before it. Those wines set the bar so high, you need to settle for this wine that is a masterpiece in its

own right. It offers deep, dark intensity with generous tones of ripe fruit, blackberry and red currant. Background notes of rosemary, cherry cola and licorice add vitality and focus. There is a subtle touch of softness in the mouth that is followed by firm tannins.” ONE six-pack available. 2006 Vietti Barolo ‘Villero Riserva’ DOCG $$$$$

97 Points Robert Parker | 96 Points Wine Spectator | 96 Points Antonio Galloni | 95+ Points Stephen Tanzer | “The last wine of the flight is the outstanding 2006 Barolo Riserva Villero. It literally bursts open to full force intensity and beauty. It’s a mind-blowing interpretation of the often austere

and brooding Nebbiolo grape that shows abundant life and vigor. Dark leather, cured beef, pressed rose petal, candied fruit, prune, cola, dried herbs and crushed mineral emerge from the glass like an aromatic marching band. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2035." TWO three-packs available (wood box).

2007 Vietti Barolo ‘Villero Riserva’ DOCG $$$$$

97 Points Robert Parker | 94-96 Points Antonio Galloni | “As of today, it is likely Vietti will bottle their 2007 Barolo Villero as a Riserva, which is hardly surprising given the quality of what is in the glass. This is perhaps Vietti’s most layered and intensely mineral-driven Barolo in 2007, with an expansive texture that blossoms

on the palate with tons of aromatic complexity and virtually endless fruit. It, too, is shaping up to be a beauty.” ONE three-pack available (wood box).
