• Approach: Agency’s collaborate on requirements, Microsoft defines the architecture

GOAL: Secure, Supportable, Cost-effective Environment That Supports Multiple Microsoft Tenants (including a shared tenant) and Maintains Enterprise Collaboration!

Next Steps….

• Microsoft to complete design within six weeks – estimated week of September 24, 2018

• Proof of concept – work will be completed in pieces over 15 weeks

• Proof of concept approval – Week of December 2, 2018

O365 Decision Package

2020 – 2021 Decision Package

• GOAL:

• Migrate 57 agencies within Enterprise Active Directory to O365• Mitigate need for every agency to ask for a decision package to migrate

• Replace the following on-premise services with O365• Email

• SharePoint

• AirWatch

• Secure Email

• Skype

• Vault will be a different work effort due to records policies for each agency

• Complete migration by December 31, 2020 (This is the GOAL, a lot of unknowns)

Decision Package Ask: $33M

• Ask Includes:

• Cloud Highway / Express Route / Express Route Traffic Design

• Migration specialist (Vendor)

• Education/Transition team

• Internal technical team

• Microsoft PFE hours

• Microsoft O365 specialist support (Microsoft Office PODS)

• External Project Management

• Oversight

• Change Management

• NOTE: Agencies must still fund licensing separately

Migration Specialist Estimates

• Estimates based on discussions with other states and corporations:

• $65 - $100 per mailbox

• $180 per hour per resource mailbox

• $35 - $50 per Skype account

• $1000 - $2000 per SharePoint Site collection (they do not go by Farm but by site collection, and if template the costs increase)

• $75 per mobile account (Airwatch to InTune)

• $100 per mailbox conversion from current vault to O365 compliance (if agencies request)

• $1 million for planning and preparation for migration

• All of the above are estimates and the decision package is based on the highest estimation value.
