This terrific activity provides a lovely means to get to know your new students and to decorate your classroom in the early days of the new school year. Enlarge to A3 on a copier and copy onto colored cardstock. Each child fills in their details on the sides of the cube. Younger students can draw pictures of family, pets, friends and favorites, while older students can write a few sentences. Each student can paste a photo of him/herself on the “This is me!’ square. Cut, fold and paste tabs. Thread with a piece of fishing line and hang from the ceiling in your classroom.
