This presentation was given at the ALL Language World 2010 Conference
It provides information on the FREE KS2 Mandarin Chinese Scheme of Work that fit in with the National KS2 National Framework for Languages
Units 1-6 (Year 4) will be available on www.thechinesestaffroom.com and www.ittmfl.org.uk in the summer of 2010, other Years will follow shortly
It covers the work being done by CILT, The National Centre for Languages and Bamboo Learning for the TDA (Training and Development Agency for Schools)
The Scheme, like the French and German, covers Years 4-7 and is divided into 24 units (6 per year) each unit has 6 sessions and it designed to last a term (6 per year)
Designed to help Chinese teachers new to primary, primary classroom teachers new to Chinese or Chinese teachers new to the UK system, it will help teachers work
together to make Chinese a success at KS2, helping transition to KS3
