GOSPEL HOUR Jim Hendricks will be here

TODAY @ 4:00pm!

Pianist Jim Hendricks grabbed the attention of musicians and family members as a young child with the uncanny ability to play anything he heard on records and memo-rize any printed music that came across the piano. While still in grammar school, Jim was able to transcribe by ear complex harmonies and melodies – without the use of a piano. He continued intensive musical studies and was considered a professional as a teenager. After high school, Jim performed with such legends as Dave Brubeck (piano duets), Della Reese, Rita Moreno, Tito Puente, Maynard Ferguson, Jack Jones, Louie Bellson, Clark Terry, Arturo Sandoval, John Davidson, Jon Faddis, and many others. He also competed in numerous international piano competitions, was a featured orchestral soloist performing the piano music of Rachmaninoff, and was granted a music professorship by the age of twenty-five. Jim has performed more than 1,300 Christian piano concerts in churches all across the land, including several appearances at the former Crystal Cathedral. He has made fourteen piano recordings, performed on ABC, CBS, TBN and PAX, authored the book Contemporary Arrangements for Today’s Church Pianist, and been featured in Clavier piano journal. The Lord has greatly blessed his decision to bring glory to Christ through music. Bring a car load and SPREAD THE WORD!

The garden plot has been planted. If you would like to help tend the garden this year please contact Dick Norris at 452-2287. Your help is always appreciated.

The Garden of Eatin’ provides us with fresh vegetables to give to the neighbor-hoods surrounding our church. This is one of our summer outreach programs.

GREAT JOB! Happy Graduation!

Remember the kid with a handful of rocks? That knocked that giant out of his socks?

Well, way back down the line, he’s your grandpa too! That’s one reason why I have such great confidence in you!

Yes, there’ll be times when things look really rough,

But thanks to David, you’ve got guts and you’re pretty tough! Now, remember the advice of “do not a lender nor borrower be”,

And live a Christian example that this world needs to see!

Your achievements have filled my heart with pride, And I’m grateful to have seen so many before I died!

Also, I plan to spend an eternity in a place near and dear to you, Due to our shared beliefs attained before our earthly work is through!

This is probably as important as anything I can say,

Please follow my advice and tuck-a-buck-a-day-away! Don’t cry or frown when you’re let down by the human race,

Just keep your eyes on the Amazing Grace that’s all over the place!

The crowns you receive will be those you earn, While you keep the faith and await his return!

Remember the giant your grandpa David killed without the use of even a sword! Watch your money, obey the law and serve the Lord!
