In addition to be- coming a “polio warrior” on this trip, Kim visited many historic sites and Ro- tary-funded projects throughout the Golden Triangle - Delhi, Agra, Jai- pur. The experiences from this “bucket list” trip were incredibly beautiful, often disturbing and wonderfully eye-opening. Congratulations to President Jean Maychack

President Jean May-chack was recognized on February 18th as the 2019 Marvin Link Distinguished Service Award recipient during the Vandalia Butler Chamber's annual Hon-or Awards Banquet. Jean, along with 15 other individuals/businesses, were acknowledged for ex-cellence in business and service to the Van-dalia-Butler community. Jean received procla-mations from the City, Butler Township, and

the school district.

Rotary on the Road

This year’s annual Rotary on The Road will take place on March 30th. On this date we will not have our usual Monday luncheon meeting at Sinclair, instead Ro-tarians will sign up for one of the following Rotarian locations. It’s a chance to find out what some of your fellow Rotarians do every day for their vocation.

Please sign up to visit one of these locations—you must be signed up to attend. You can either sign up at a Monday meet-ing or email Laura [email protected]. New Member Profile Andrea Wall is the Executive Assistant to President & CEO, Wright State Uni-versity Foundation and Assistant Secre-tary WSU Foundation Board. Andrea grew up in the Dayton area and graduat-ed from Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City. After a year at Wright State Univer-sity, she responsibly “ran away” from home by joining the U.S. Navy. After serving 4 years at the Great Lakes Naval Base and also in Washington, D.C., she

was honorably discharged and, during the next many years, worked in Palm Beach and then the Washington, D.C. area as legal support in prominent, global law firms. After attending George Mason University for a year, Andrea returned home to Dayton and finished her degree in English at Wright State. She is the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO of the Wright State University Foundation and, as Assistant Secre-tary, is also an officer on the Foundation Board. She manages the Foundation Building, oversees Foundation outreach and promotion activities, and manages the 27 committee and full board meetings each year, in addition to other responsibilities for the Foundation and University. Andrea has been the Chair of the Citizens Advisory Committee for WDPR, Classical 88.1, for several years. For 9 years, she has been an active mem-ber of a Catholic Marianist lay community where the focus is on, among other important matters, social justice and aid for the poor, hungry, and vulnerable. Andrea has two grown, fun-loving sons. Her youngest son and his wife live in Dayton, and her oldest son and his wife live in the Charlottesville, Virginia area with her beautiful granddaughter and another one on the way. Andrea’s hobbies are daily fitness workouts and medita-tion, weekly doubles tennis, and spending time with her family, friends, and Shih Tzu, Blue. Lauren and Andrew gave us a brief history of Indigo Life. Discussing their passion for Dayton and making connections and creat-ing visual moments that leave people moved and inspired to connect. They then Introduced the host of Decoding Dayton Jason Antonick, who shared a list of things he’s learned as the host of Decoding Dayton. Sharing the latest episode of Decoding Dayton S4: Nexus of Somewhere - What begins on east Third Street and spreads into creative clusters of economic possibility turns into a vi-sion we call The Nexus of Somewhere.
