If we do not ha frost they can last fo r several months. Some of them ar e as large as trees and in sev colors and varieties The Lord is so good t o us to l e t us live in a beautiful world. ZIMBABWE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE GRADUATION This year's class i ur largest class. The 14 students that completed their studies a 2CC in April more than doubled the graduates of the school. Six of these students taugh at the high school on Monday mornings from January to April. The Thursday classes were taught by Mr. Nyamatora and myself. Since these students are gone, we will be teaching both Monday and Thursday. It has been a bi t conf using to teach every other lesson but th e exp^rrence WSs good f o r th e ZC C students hatfi^Ld high'School In the educat io n) system here the students take major exams every two years. All the other exams and-lessons are just to prepare them as the final exam is their grade for t class. This time the volunteerteachers in Religious Education got excellent results. Th e attitudeat school has ch an ged toward us. Ann Goldsberry and Mr. and Mrs. Curtis go 100^ passes in the Form 4 and Form 6 cUsses Those classes ar e electives In Form 1 and Form 2 the students all take Re li gious and Moral Education. In 1987 and 1988 I taught the students for the two years. The four classes taken together got a 3k pass which is very good as you can see by comparing it with the other subjects. Since we did not have room f or a l l of them and the final results were no out we went back to their mid-year exam and only l e t those with good grade take i t MY CAR At the end of December I took th e ca r to South Africa and left i t with instructions to install a reconditioned engine. The first of February when I went after i t the job was no t done right and i t took me 9 days t o ge t i t repaired and back to Harare In th e meantime I was missing classes that I had made no assignmentstocover. In those 9 days I spent more on th e c a r than I had when I purchased it and almost twice th e estimate Looking back I pr bably should have sold i t but now that I have spent all this money on i t I hope t o drive i t f o r another year until i t is time f o r me t o leave f o r th e States I can buy another vehicle when I return It may be hard fo r you to believe but with th shortage of vehicles here I may be able to g e t enough f o r the c a r to cover a l l I have spent on i t I t is a I98I Volkswagon Station Wagon. This year has been an

exhausting

one fo r me. The supervision of the teaching

at

the high

s chool has

been a bi g

responsibil i ty

because a lmost a ll

of the

teachers are new teachers

and do no t know just what the school expects of them. Jayne was on fur lough from January

to

July so 1 was

doing

th e

customs

and

immigration

work

that

she would

have

done i f she

had been here. She is back

now

and s in ce th e VBS is finished is in a position to take

back these jobs. This short school break I

was

hoping to

get

caught up on several

things.

With

the retreat,

the conference,

a

trip

to South Afr ica

fo r

more car repa ir s, filing

my

income

tax

and Ann s and writing this newslet ter the time has gone. I

did

ge t a few

more

hours

sleep fo r p art

of th e

time

bu t

I do

no t

feel

l ike

beginning

another

school term,

Please pray that I have ex tra s tren gth t o be able

cope with my schedule.
