Over the next 6 months, Excavate Theatre Company are working in the area creating a ‘now and then’ snapshot of life in and around Minver Crescent and digging into the stories that have taken place here over the last eighty years. Along with tales of houses built for heroes, the William Crane school, and bomb shelters in the back gardens, we want to document life in the area now. And we’re looking for as many people as possible to help us. Children planting bulbs at William Crane School, 1936 Three Doors Down We’re looking for people who have memories of moving in to the estate (whenever that was) and people who would like to know a little more about where they live. Whether you’re a musician, have a passion for photography, can use a sewing machine or are just curious about what it’s all about – then please get in touch. We’re also offering every house the chance to have their own 45min personal theatre show! This will feature stories from and about the estate with musical accompaniment and will be performed in your kitchen or living room by our team. Contact Andy to arrange a date! (First come, first served).

We’d like to gather as many photos as we can of people and their houses. These can be portraits of yourself in your garden or kitchen or by the front door.

We can come along and take these for you, but if you want to take your own you can simply send your pictures to us.

Our base for this project is ACTC - Aspley Community and Training Centre, Minver Crescent, Nottingham, NG8 5PN
