GM ZZ4 Power PackagesGM’s ZZ4 engine has great performance potential straight out of the crate; but in today’s realm of high performanceengines, 350 hp is not exactly something you brag to your buddies about. COMP Cams® is dedicated to producing topquality components that draw the most power and torque from any engine platform. As a result of this effort, COMPhas designed bolt-on GM ZZ4 power packages that dramatically improve the horsepower, torque and “fun factor” asso-ciated with this engine.

Test results prove that carefully selected combinations of COMP Performance Group™ products can transform yourstock ZZ4 into a small block powerhouse with bullet-proof reliability. Each COMP Cams® Performance Package hasbeen dyno tested in-house to demonstrate real world, repeatable results. After completing Stage 1 of the five perform-ance packages, select the level of horsepower you desire from the four remaining stages to deliver dependable,streetable power.

*All tests were performed on a brand new GM ZZ4 engine which achieved baseline performance of 344 hp @ 5300 rpm and 390 lb./ft. @4300 rpm – both figures slightly less than the factory ratings. Our dyno tests utilized a Demon 650 cfm carburetor, 1 3/4–inch primarytube headers and the factory dual plane intake manifold (performance dual plane intake utilized for Stages 2-5 to supply adequate airflow).

Gen IIIDouble Roller Billet Timing SetThe new COMP Cams® Gen III Double Roller Billet Timing Set is a 9-keyway set designed for up to eight degrees ofadvance or retard in two-degree increments. The timing set features heat-treated, machined billet steel gears for out-standing strength and a Torrington thrust bearing that reduces friction to a minimum. Additional features include apre-stretched, heat-treated roller chain with heavy-duty large pin design to further enhance high rpm and high horse-power strength and durability.
