thank you cBus!

cbus is the industry super fund for more than 719,000 members and 92,000 employers in the australian building, construction and allied industries.

As the Event Sponsor of the 2015 Construction Industry Mental Health Conference, Cbus hopes to help spread the message that it is important to create healthy workplaces.

By drawing together employers, employees, mental health services and industry partners, the conference demonstrates we can all help create a safe and supportive working environment for the people who are building Australia.

Cbus is focused on our members’ best interests including their health – financial, physical and mental. As the fund for your industry, we are well aware of the statistics on the incidence of mental health conditions in construction and building. That’s why Cbus is proud to partner

with MATES in Construction and the industry to create real solutions that support workers when they need it most.

Founded in 1984 by workers for workers, Cbus is run only to benefit members and the people who depend on them. We manage more than $29 billion of members’ funds and offer members low fees and strong investment performance over the long term.*

We are different to most super funds because we invest back into the construction and building industry through Cbus Property Pty Ltd, our wholly owned subsidiary company. This means we are helping to provide jobs for workers in your industry.

Cbus is run by people from within your industry, with equal representation on our Board from union and employer organisations, as well as an independent director. We’re proud to have staff that were former building and construction workers. They talk to members every day on worksites around the country and share an understanding about the pressures that are part of working in often challenging conditions.

We congratulate MATES in Construction for organising this conference where we can all share knowledge and experiences about how we can create better mental health outcomes across our industry.
