Data Analysis
My school at a glance:Look at the data provided for the network schools
(Elementary/Middle School and High School Achievement Data Points)
Answer the following questions:1- How did my students do as a whole on the ELA
and Math state exams (Regents in H.S.) these last three 3 years (07-09)?
2- What is one (school-wide) practice/strategy or lack there of that you can attribute to either the score bumps or declines in 09? Why do you think so?
3- How do you predict that your school did this year and why?
Data Analysis
Looking at our ELLs:As a network, let’s guess how our students did
using the cut scores for the ELA and Math:1)In general, what was the percentage of
students who did not make the cut score?2)What percentage of current ELLs did not?3)What percentage of former ELLs did not?
Upcoming Changes in test/instruction
Think back to you administering/scoring this past NYSESLAT, what challenges did you identify for the students in the writing modality?
Upcoming Changes in test/instruction
Let’s look at the Editing/Writing mechanics (doc):
From the ELA scoring reflections:- Capitalization- Language Usage (adjectives, adverbs, verb
