Treasure Island Five-Year Vision “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) I. Treasure Island will be the BEST children’s Sunday experience in the country. a) We will have an awe inspiring environment that serves to draw kids and families in and sets the table for life-change. b) We will continue to innovate new ways to engage kids and families with the commitment that Sundays will NEVER bore kids. c) We will ensure that every encounter with Treasure Island exceeds our families expectations by demonstrating a genuine love for Christ, love of others and eagerness to see our mission fulfilled. d) We will have clearly defined learning goals and mechanisms in place to evaluate whether learning goals are begin met. e) We will have developed a vibrant ministry within Treasure Island for 4th and 5th graders that prepares them for the transition to student ministries and participation in adult services. II. Treasure Island will have a healthy staff that is excited about the mission and possess a contagious passion for seeing the mission fulfilled. a) Our staff will be marked by optimism. b) Our staff will be marked by infectious enthusiasm. c) Our staff will love being together and working together. d) Our staff will be marked by love for Christ, love of others and eagerness to see our mission fulfilled. e) Our staff will be highly skilled, qualified and equipped for ministry. f) Our staff will be organized to effectively execute the mission and vision of Treasure Island. III. Tresure Island will have a large vibrant volunteer team that owns the mission as their own and executes with enthusiasm. a) Volunteers will know how critically important their role is. b) Volunteers will know what is expected of them in their roles. c) Volunteers won’t want to be anywhere else on a Sunday — they will leave Sunday feeling energized and not exhausted. d) Volunteers will serve in roles for which they are gifted and passionate — no one will simply fill a role. e) Volunteers will be well-equipped to serve with confidence.

I. Treasure Island will be the BEST children’s Sunday experience in the country. a) We will have an awe inspiring environment that serves to draw kids and families

IV. Treasure Island will be indispensable to families.a) The roles of families and the church will be clearly defined and understood as it

pertains to spiritual teaching, providing feedback, accountability.b) Families will have the resources/tools they need to help their children walk with

God. c) If Treasure island is indispensable to families it will by extension be indispensable

to our community. If Treasure Island goes away will its impact be missed?

V. Treasure Island’s impact will be well known throughout the church.a) The stories of transformative change that occur in Treasure Island will be

championed and celebrated by the church. b) Kids matter to God and ought to matter to the church.c) Awareness will be increased.
