PARISH EVENTS IN OUR PARISH & ELSEWHERE

Catholic Service Appeal Today is our annual diocesan Catholic Services Appeal. The Catholic Services Appeal gives us the opportunity to act to-gether as a diocesan family: caring for our active and retired priest, helping those in need, promoting a culture of life, en-couraging religious vocation, and educating our youth. Every gift, regardless of the size, is vital to the success of the Catho-lic Services Appeal. Our goal this year is to have 100% partici-pation. Please give in accordance with your means. Altar Society Meeting St. Mary’s Altar Society will meet Sunday, November 3rd, in the day chapel after the 10:00 am Mass. We will finalize plans for our annual Christmas party and all other business. All la-dies of the parish are invited. Thank you. KJZT Meeting KJZT Society No. 27 Caldwell will hold their annual meeting and election of officers for 2020 in the Day Chapel on Novem-ber 3rd after the 10:00 am Mass. Everyone is invited to attend. Knights of Columbus Meeting The Caldwell Knights of Columbus will have their monthly meeting on Thursday, November 7th at 7:00 pm in St. Mary's Parish Hall. KJT District Social and Meeting The KJT District VIII Fall social and meeting will be held in Frenstat for all District VIII members, their families and guests on Sunday, November 10th beginning with registration at 11:30 AM. The wonderful turkey and dressing meal will be served at 12:00 noon. We will charge a nominal charge of $5.00 per adult and $3.00 for 12 and under for the meal. A short meeting will follow. Donations of door prizes from your society are welcome. District VIII will provide all the food, drink and des-sert. Please notify your Society President or Secretary the weekend before if you will be attending as the District needs a head count to order the food. KJT Society #100 Meeting St. Benedict KJT Society #100 will hold their next meeting on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Frenstat Hall immediately fol-lowing the KJT District 8 Fall Social. Any KJT #100 members planning on also attending the Fall Social need to RSVP with Secretary Louemma Polansky at 979-229-3892 by November 4, 2019. Women’s Club Meeting The Women’s Club will have their Thanksgiving meal and November meeting Sunday, November 10th at 5:00 pm at the home of James and Janice Robertson. We will begin with our traditional turkey and dressing meal and then follow with the meeting. Members are asked to bring a side dish and/or des-sert. Those who want to carpool to the meeting, need to meet in the front parking lot of the church no later than 4:45 pm. We invite and welcome all ladies of the parish to join us for an evening of delicious food and spiritual fellow-ship. Mass Intentions The Mass intention books for 2020 are now open. We will be available to assist you between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Each person/family, is limited to one weekend and two weekday Masses per quarter. This year, Mass for the People will alter-nate between the Saturday Masses, opening up more opportunity for Spanish Mass intentions. Mass sti-pend is $5. Please note that Masses may be rescheduled due to Fr. Melvin’s schedule. Any Mass re-scheduled will be moved to the next available day.
