The scenery and many of the thrills of driving long stretches of slickrock remain, but the emphasis will be on making the trail accessible to stock vehicles and drivers not anxious to break their equipment. The club was awarded this honor along with Black Bear Pass in Colorado, Pyeatt Draw near Payson Arizona, Naches Pass in the Cascades and Upper Tellico, Trail #4 in North Carolina. The club received a sub- stantial donation to the MUD fund, (See more details on page 34) which goes towards defending the trails against closure by environmental groups. The award was given after careful selection by Tread Lightly and the UFWDA, both active in the protection of trails in the United States. This is expected to be an ongoing program by BF Goodrich. The club is proud to have been selected for this honor and continues to offer Hells revenge to Safari participants almost every day of the Easter event.
