The time has come when mom and/or dad needs a little assistance with medications or personal hygiene. So

where do you turn? Assisted living with customized care levels is a great option. But how do you choose the one best suited for them? First and foremost, the more involved your parents are in the search, the better. Of course you can do much of the legwork for them, but be open and discuss with your parents their desires and preferences.

Visit the community you are considering more than once. Plan one scheduled tour and one or more drop-in visits.
