Inspection of Fleiible Pavements Constructed Under Technology Demonstration Project In Tiptur Taluk

Periodic pavement perfonnance evaluation of flexible Pavements Constructed under Technology Demonstration Project PMGSY in Tiptur Taluk is carried by PTA Bangalore University on 25-09-2013. Two sections in Tiptur block Tumkur district constructed constructed under Technology Demonstration Project scheme using Modified Subgrade (soil treated with Coir Fibre). The general details and pavement condition survey details are enclosed in Fonnat-Ü (A) and (B) respectively.

The following three stretches are evaluated

1) Ganjalghatta to L-089(Bituminous) Improvements to Road from Ganjalghatta to L-089 Road in Tiptur Taluk, Tumkur Disirict Ch. 0.000 to 6.960 kmDate of Completion: 26-05-2012 Pavement Length: 6.960 Km Pavement Width: 3.75 m

Pavement Composition: (0.0-1.0 km, 5.0- 6 .0km, 6.0 to 6.96km)20mm Chip Carpet with Type B Seal coat 75mm Grade m Metalling 75mm Grade II Metalling 100mm GSB FOR FULL WIDTH 150mm COMPACTED SUBGRADE

Pavement Composition: (1.0-2.0km,2.0 0-3.0km, 3.0 to 4.0km) 20mm Chip Carpet with Type B Seal coat 75mm Grade III Metalling 75mm Grade II Metalling 100mm GSB FOR FULL WIDTH 100mm COMPACTED SUBGRADE
