Equal Remuneration Project Communiqué No. 3 – Prepare for Census Community Sector Salary Census 2012 Last week all community sector organisations should have received a letter about the project, and a Project Overview Fact Sheet. The Fact Sheet, along with all of the project communications, is available on the DHHS Internet . The Project Overview briefly explains the process for the project, and the need for us to conduct a Salary Census. At this stage, we are hoping to commence the Salary Census on Monday 23 July. The Salary Census will provide us with detailed information about your staff and salaries. This information will allow DHHS staff to understand your situation and the salary increases that you will be required to pay. We will use this information to help us develop a process to allocate the additional funding Treasury has made available. It is vital that all organisations employing staff under the SCHADS Modern Award complete the Salary Census, as your funding increase will be based around the information you provide. Information sessions We want to assist organisations in completing this census as accurately as possible. We are writing a Data Guide to accompany the census, which explains the intent of the question and how we expect you to calculate the figures. DHHS will be conducting information sessions twice during the Census period in each of the three regions. You will be given the opportunity to nominate for these sessions in the coming weeks. Sessions dates are: Hobart – Wed 25 th and Mon 30 th July Launceston – Thu 26 th and Tue 31 st July Devonport – Thu 26 th and Tue 31 st July More information about times and locations will be provided shortly. 6 July 2012

Points of ContactThe letter that was sent last week has also requested confirmation of the contact person we should use for these communications, and the Salary Census. This is just a reminder to those people who haven’t provided us with that information that we do require it by Friday 6 July.Regards,
