4 hours of Formalised ECG Lessons for Sec 4 & 5 Students (Term 2 & 3)

3 MAIN TRACKS

What are the various Post-Secondary

School tracks available?

1. Junior Colleges (JCs) or

Millennia Institute Prepare students for the

GCE ‘A’ level exam

3. Institute of Technical

Education (ITE) Equip students with

technical knowledge & skills

relevant to the industry

2. Polytechnics/ Lasalle / NAFA Trains students with relevant skills for the

workforce in a knowledge-based economy

Junior Colleges Millenia Institute Polytechnics ITE

L1R5* ≤ 20 with minimum subject requirement: EL grade of C6, MTL grade D7 (or MTLB pass) and Maths grade D7 (or A Maths D7) [*CCA grade is excluded, only used as bonus point]

L1R4* ≤ 20 with minimum subject requirement: EL grade of C6, MTL grade D7 (or MTLB pass) and Maths grade D7 (or A Maths D7) [*CCA grade is can be included as one of the subjects under certain

conditions]

Must obtain net* ELR2B2 ≤ 26 (i.e. English Language, 2 relevant subjects and best 2 other subjects, *including CCA Bonus Points)

Must fulfill minimum entry requirements of the intended course (CCA cannot be used to meet the minimum entry requirements)

Applicants not meeting the subject requirement will be eligible for conditional admission

• Begin at the end of June (As reference, in 2014, the online application period was from 27 Jun – 2 July.)

• Students can apply for DPA (max 3 courses) via the polytechnic website

• Relevant details will be provided by school at the end of June. Polytechnic will be invited to conduct DPA talk.

• Shortlisted DPA applicants will be called up for interviews by polytechnic.

• Offers will be made to successful applicants.

• 8 weeks of fun Polytechnic Preparatory Program (PPP)
