The Rains have virtually broken a 100-year record with one day's

rainfall covering a month's average. With several parts of Chennai

inundated and more rains to follow, several people are coming forward

to help the people of the city through cash or kind. At the center of this

storm of compassion, Help Kids Trust – which has Come Forward to

those offering help and the ones needing it.

Help Kids Trust has started an online campaign, "Help Chennai", to help

victims of the Chennai flood across affected regions. We will be

providing food rations, water, sanitation facilities and hygiene support

to the affected people. Because of our experience-driven, cost-

effective model, the impact of individual donations is multiplied.

We all know Chennai city and suburbs have faced severe disaster

on past week due to occasional heavy rains and flood. Lakhs of

people in the worst-hit areas faced acute short supply of

essentials including water, power, milk and food items. Many

good hearted people from various places have helped to rescue

people from these floods.

Our Team stands tall on the shoulders of volunteers who have

and continue to do selfless work in helping with rescue, relief

and now rehabilitation efforts in these times. We provided food,

blankets, medicines and other basic things to the affected people

in all affected places around Chennai, Cuddalore and

Pondicherry.


We wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the support you

have shown towards floods in Tamil Nadu. To those of you who

came to field to assist, you will never know how much your

action was appreciated by the victims. This was an incredibly

kind gesture by you all. It is such a noble thing to do during this

time of crisis in Chennai. Big thanks to all who volunteered in

Tamil Nadu Flood.
