Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation

limited (KEONICS) was established in the year 1976, with an

objective to promote electronics and IT Industries in the

state of Karnataka. The Vision of founders of KEONICS has

led to establishment of first Electronics City in India, with

332 acres in Bangalore which is considered as an Iconic

project, kick starting IT revolution in India.

KEONICS has played major role in taking IT to rural masses.

On an average around 50,000 trainees are trained in

Computer education across the State through a network of

265 computer training centers.

About KEONICSKEONICS is also associated in placement. More than 6500

trained computer operators, system analyst, data entry

operators are provided to about 70 Government

departments across the State.

KEONICS plays an important role in implementation of

e-Governance solutions like GIS, GPS, ERP, CCTV &

Surveillance, LED & Solar lights, Hardware and Software

supplies, Installation and Maintenance.

Technical Human Resources

Providing and management of human resources through

placement services is one of the important activity of

KEONICS. It also provides man power services in IT,

which includes resources in the areas of data entry

operations, programming, database administration,

network management, IT consultation and a host of

related services.

This service is offered for all Government Departments

across the State. The dedicated HR division handles

customers efficiently with vast pool of resources. Repeat

KEONICS has implemented projects related to energy

saving solutions, predictive maintenance support solution to

the operation and maintenance wing of CHESCOM.

KEONICS has implemented an Automated Test Track

Driving System at Ullala Upanagara, in an area of 1.5 acres.

This system, which has the facility to test driving skills is fool-

proof and ensures complete transparency.

KEONICS has developed and implemented supply chain

management software for HOPCOMS, which is a division of

the Dept. of Horticulture, for monitoring of inventory, pricing

and bulk purchases.

These services are provided all across Karnataka either

directly by KEONICS or through business associates.

capability to handle large-scale data entry, data warehousing

projects and has introduced e-tendering/e-procurement

software, works management software, payroll software etc.

KEONICS IT Education & Services (ITES) Division is

having a network of 265 centers located in Hobli, Taluk

and District Head Quarters accross the Karnataka State.

KEONICS provides IT training through its own centers,

Yuva.com Centers & Franchisee Centers. These centers

focus on strengthening the IT community in each location

by acting as a hub for all their IT related activities.

Keonics IT Training & ITES are ISO Certified Training

Centres.

KEONICS provides computer training as per the

requirement of the market, business establishment,

educational field etc. It also, provides training to the

employees of Government Departments/Boards/

Corporations as per their requirement, KEONICS

Training Centers are fully equipped with latest

KEONICS has the distinction of establishing first

Electronics City in the Asia and KEONICS has played

a major role in making the Bangalore city as the

Silicon Valley of India. Electronics City has the world

class infrastructure which has housed major IT /ITES

companies like Infosys, Hewlett & Packard, Wipro,

Tata Electronics Development Services and Siemens

etc. Today Electronics City has become a major land

mark in the world.

KEONICS has established an IT Park, Hubli in an

area of 3.2 acres with 2,75,000 sq.ft. IT workspace

with world class infrastructure, which is operational

since last 5 years. KEONICS has taken up IT Parks in

tier-2/3 cities of Karnataka. IT Park, Shimoga, Phase-I

project of 71,000 sq.ft. and IT Park, Gulbarga,

Phase-I, 53,000 sq.ft. are operational. IT/ITES-SEZ

developed in an area of 36 acres in Shimoga.
