The Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) was established by the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) whose mission is to disseminate knowledge to Thai personnel for the economic and industrial prosperity of Thailand.

In 2007, the “Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology” officially opened the door for students in undergraduate and graduate programmes in the innovative learning style of MONOZUKURI (the art, science, craft and joy of making things) with the ultimate philosophy “to develop knowledge and enrich industry so as to improve the economy and society”

Many bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes are offered for students in the fields of engineering, information technology, and management, to meet the needs for skilled employees in business and industrial sectors in Thailand and overseas.

Employment is guaranteed after graduation at TNI with high possibility to work with Japanese companies both in Thailand and Japan. While studying in the last year, students are offered opportunities to intern in allied companies who are their potential employers after graduation.

TNI was founded on 2 August 2007 under the umbrella of Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) as the founder organisation. According to TNI’s founder organisation, it was established by Japanese Alumni and those who were trained in Japan with the Asia Bunka Kaikan (ABK) and the Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS) as well as under the kind support of Professor Goichi Hozumi, the former president of the board of Japan-Thailand Economic Co-operation Association. The Chairman of Founder Commitee of TPA was H.E.Sommai Hoontrakul, Former Finance Minister of Thailand, and one of Thailand’s well-known economists who played an important role in Thai-Japanese relations for over 60 years.

H.E. SOMMAI HOONTRAKUL

“The relationships and feelings between the Japanese people and Thailand throughout 600 years remain very strong and never fragile. Japan and Thailand will help each other forever and ever.”

GOICHI HOZUMI

“TPA was established out of the deep relationship between the Thai and Japanese people. The institute will continue developing to become stronger in the future and to bring continuous prosperity to Thailand.”

I am proud to witness the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) entering its 8th year with stability from good support from the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan), the founder of the Institute, as well as organisations and patrons who have continuously supported and assisted us in terms of scholarship, equipment and durable articles for educational purposes.

The Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology has the philosophy and strong commitment to produce quality graduates with proven knowledge, abilities, academic expertise, professional expertise, language proficiency, cultural knowledge, morality and ethics, as well as Thai-Japanese wisdom. These characteristics are believed to be a catalyst for the country’s development, especially in the Thai business and industrial sectors, and help the country keep up with technological advancements in the ever-changing world. Thai-Nichi graduates can also adjust and develop themselves for the labour markets in Asia and other regions all over the world while striving to increase their competitiveness in line with TNI’s strategic plan.

On behalf of the management, lecturers, employees and students of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, I would like to thank you all for your continued good support. I promise that we will keep on developing the Institute. I would like to extend my warm congratulations on the 7th anniversary of TNI today. I wish you all happiness and prosperity in all your endeavours.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Krisada Visavateeranon President of Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology

On the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), on behalf of the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand - Japan), the founder of the TNI, I would like to congratulate TNI on its success.

I witnessed the work of TNI over the past year and found that the Institute achieved growth and proved itself as one of the country’s academic institutions renowned for producing quality personnel to meet the needs of business and industrial sectors in accordance with its founding objectives. The Japan Foundation awarded TPA in 2013 for its role in promoting transfer of technology, art and culture from Japan to Thailand, as well as human resources development for Thai society. TNI is the pride of the team of advisors, founders and members of the Association.

I would like to express my appreciation to the executives, lecturers, and all employees of TNI who have contributed to the Institute’s achievements. I wish TNI prosperity and stability in line with its direction and philosophy and wish it continued good relations and cooperation in Thai-Japanese wisdom. On this very special occasion, I wish TNI all success and prosperity. It is also my wish to see all personnel of TNI and students join hands in developing the Institute in order to help preparing Thai society and industrial sectors for the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Sucharit KoontanakulvongPresident of the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan)

The stellar performance of the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI) over the past seven years bears testimony to the Institute’s stable growth in terms of management, finance, academic excellence, curricula and physical aspects. The Institute has also performed outstandingly in providing academic services to society, foreign affairs, art & culture, and Thai-Japanese wisdom. Graduates of TNI are invaluable assets to society due to their academic and professional knowledge, language and cultural knowledge and moral and ethical stewardship which is well recognised by business and industrial sectors. The Institute’s success is the result of good support from the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan), the founder of TNI.

On behalf of the TNI Council, I would like to thank the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan), organisations and individuals for continuously providing scholarships for our students. My sincere thanks to all executives, faculties and staff of TNI for their commitment and dedication to performing their duties with perseverance and contributing to the achievements that the TNI celebrates today.

My congratulations and best wishes to TNI as it enters into its 8th year. I wish it and everyone concerned prosperity and success in all current and future endeavours.

GOOD EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR TNI GRADUATESOpportunities to be employed before graduation: TNI has a co-operative education programme to send senior-year students to intern with enterprises for four months. The enterprises often consider hiring the students from the programme immediately after their graduation.

Immediate employment after graduation: TNI arranges the TNI Job Fair every year to provide an opportunity for senior-year students to apply for jobs with leading companies and organisations that participate in the fair. TNI has opened the website www.jobtni.com (a job search service connecting Thai job-hunters with a network of companies in Thailand and Japan) in order to facilitate TNI students’ job search efforts. Job-hunters can lodge their resumes and receive notifications of jobs that match their profile before other potential candidates.

Opportunities to work in companies with networks in Japan and Thailand: All TNI students have specialised knowledge in their field of study at TNI as well as ‘working-to-excellent-level’ knowledge of Japanese and English.

ROMTHUM THRIBKHUNPresident of TNI Student Association, 3rd year student, Engineering Faculty (Automotive Engineering)

I chose TNI because of the most outstanding syllabus (Japanese Language and learning by practicing) that makes TNI more attractive than others. Students have to learn both theories and practices. According to this learning style, it is easy for student to learn and understand the lessons. All lecturers and staff are professional and friendly. As the President of TNI Student Association for academic year 2014, I, hereby, believe in the qualification and integrity of students after graduation.
