1. PURPOSE: This document prescribes and outlines procedures, rules and responsibilities

for WFX15-3, 3-11 February 2015.

2. GENERAL SIMULATION CONFEDERATION: This is a CLASSIFIED, distributed

exercise, with OG X-RAY playing from the NSC, FLKS with OG X-RAY FWDs at Camp

Atterbury, Indiana (CAIN) and Ft Hood, Texas (FHTX).

3. EXECUTION:

a. OG X-RAY Exercise Support Directorates 1, 2 and Simulation Support

Directorate, augmented by OG X-RAY Analysts, WCOPFOR Division, Scenario Design

Division, and Operational Contracting Support will participate. Exercise Support Directorate 2

has overall WFX responsibility. A total of 202 OG X-RAY full-time/part-time personnel will

support this exercise, all of whom will participate from FLKS, CAIN and FHTX. See Enclosure

3 for a detailed breakout of personnel.

TRAINING GUIDANCE

1. WFX TRAINING GOAL: Replicate the DATE v-2.1 Operational Environment using

JLCCTC, MRF-W v-6.2, WARSIM version 6.2 and the JMSEL Tool in a WFX setting.

2. WFX TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

A. WFX Specific Training. Train all players in essential elements of information

required to conduct specific missions supportive of the operational environment.

(1) Administrative and security procedures to be followed.

(2) Objectives of the training.

(3) Specialized aspects of the areas of responsibility and its effect on

military actions, to include infrastructure and civilians with the AOR.

(4) Intelligence data on training audience units and in the areas of

responsibility including equipment, organization, concept of operations and unit specific

data.

(5) Organization and equipment of friendly force structure.

(6) Specific information on the actions and events, which brought about

the necessity for military operations in this scenario/locale.

(7) The Commander's preliminary instructions/WAC Handbook/WFX

Playbook.

B. Initial Training (IF REQUIRED). Train newly-hired Work Area Role Players

(WARP) in the MRF-W simulation.

C. Sustainment Training. Train WFX participants on OPFOR operations.

3. WFX TRAINING: WFX training is conducted in three phases: MRF-W, Centralized

and WFX Specific, with integrated work station setup in between.

A. Centralized Training (30 Jan 15) - 3 hours.

B. Integrated Work Area Set-up (30 Jan 15) - 5 hours.

C. WFX Specific Training (31 Jan 15) – 16 hours.

4. COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS:

A. Coordinate instructor rehearsals, as required.

B. Lesson Plans will use the training unit Order of Battle; MCTP Rules and

Workarounds; WFX specific Rules of Engagement as references.

GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION

A. Drinks, in covered, spill-proof containers are allowed

in the Work Areas. Small snacks are also allowed. WACs are

responsible for insuring compliance.

B. Smoking, chewing, and dipping will be in designated

outside areas only. (No spit cups/cans in the Work Areas.)

C. The break area will be policed on an "as you go"

status.

D. All personnel must adhere to the NSC requirements for

use of security badges to enter and exit various NSC areas.

E. WACs ensure a good police call at shift change. IAW

NSC policy, SHRED ALL PRINTED MATERIAL. Keep the shredder area

clean as possible and full bags MUST be taken outside the door

on 3 West and placed next to the garbage cans for pick-up.

F. No personnel will be released until the shift leader

has stated it is permissible to do so.

G. ENDEX due-outs:

1. Mini-performance appraisals to shift leader.

2. AAR responses to shift leaders.

3. Collect critique/comments for shift leaders.

H. Adhere to the parking areas designated.

AFTER ACTION REPORT

1. Following the conclusion of the WFX, each OG-X-RAY full-time employee will submit

input through their shift leader to Mr. Green to support preparation of the After Action Report.

The purpose of this report is to identify problem areas, explain their nature and importance, and

recommend viable solutions. Additionally, positive aspects of the exercise should also be noted

and submitted along with AAR recommendations.

2. Format. Except for comments regarding workarounds, the AAR format consists of three

(3) major sections entitled Issue, Discussion and Recommendation.

A. Under Issue should be: A one-sentence statement of the problem being addressed.

B. Under Discussion should be: A full and complete discussion of the problem to

clearly identify the issue(s) and explain its importance.

C. Under Recommendation should be a list of single-sentence recommendations. No

further discussion of the issue is required.

D. This AAR is provided to other agencies and as such, it is important that the

explanation of problems and recommendations be as self-contained and clear as possible. Please

explain any OPFOR abbreviations that you may use.

3. The report will address:

A. General Administrative and Logistics.

(1) Team level administrative support.

(2) Work Area supplies.

(3) Anything regarding the NSC or its staff.

B. Training.

(1) MRF-W Version training.

(2) Exercise-specific training.
