Paul preached about Jesus Christs suffering, death and resurrection in the synagogue of
Thessalonica. Many people believed Jesus.
Paul and Silas reached Athens. Athens was filled with idols everywhere. They preached aboutJesus daily in the synagogue to Jews and in the public square to Greeks.
Some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers argued with Paul and took Paul to the high council
of the city.
Paul preached there, Men of Athens, This God, whom you worship without knowing, is the one
Im telling you about. The God who made the world and everything in it doesnt live in man -
made temples. He is not far from us. For in him we live and move and exist. He will judge the
world with justice. This God who suffered, died and resurrected for us is none other than Jesus.
