HOTIFICATION

SO.... In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of the section 11 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Central Government, after consulting the Medical Council of India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act, namely:-

In the said Schedule -

I) against "Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Radiodiagnosis)"

"Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics)"

"Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry)"

MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad in respect of students being trained at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad on or after 2017).

MD (Radiodiagnosis) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad in respect of students being trained at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad on or after 2017).

MD (Pediatrics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad in respect of students being trained at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad on or after 2017).

MD (Psychiatry) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad in respect of students being trained at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad on or after 2017).

"Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesia)" MD (Anesthesia) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Teerthanker Mahaveer University Moradabad in respect. of students being trained at Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad on or after 2017).

II) against "Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Physiology)"

"Doctor of Medicine (Pharmacology)"

"Doctor of Medicine (Microbiology)"

MD (Physiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad in respect of students being trained at Hind Institute of Medical Sciences, Barabanki on or after 2017).

MD (Pharmacology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad in respect of students being trained at Hind Institute of Medical Sciences, Barabanki on or after 2017).

MD (Microbiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad in respect of students being trained at Hind Institute of Medical Sciences, Barabanki on or after 2017).

III) against "Ch. Charan Singh University", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry)" MD (Psychiatry) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Ch. Charan Singh University in respect of students being trained at Saraswati Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur on or after 2017).

"Doctor of Medicine, (General Medicine)" MD (General Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Ch. Charan Singh University in respect of students being trained at Saraswati Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur on or after 2017).

IV) against "C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

MD (Pediatrics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur in respect of students being trained at U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah on or after 2016).

MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur in respect of students being trained at U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah on or after 2016).

against "West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata", under the heading • 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column [2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Neurology)" DM (Neurology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata on or after 2017).

VI) against "Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, U.P.", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry)" MD (Psychiatry) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, U.P. in respect of students being trained at Institute of Mental Health and hospital, Agra on or after 2016).

against The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai", under the heading Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine, (Hepatology)" DM (Hepatology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Madras Medical College, Chennai on or after 2017).

against "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Magister Chirurgiae (Plastic Surgery)" M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in respect of students being trained at SS Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Davangere on or after 2017).

against "LNCT University, Bhopal", under the heading Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine/Master of Surgery (Anatomy)" MD/MS (Anatomy)

(This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by LNCT University, Bhopal in respect of students being trained at L.N. Medical College & Research Centre, Bhopal on or after 2017).

X) against "Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration [hereinafter referred to as column (3)1, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Paediatric Anesthesia)"

DM (Paediatric Anesthesia) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Seth G.S. Medical College & King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Parel, Mumbai on or after 2017).

MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of batches/ students admitted upto 2017-18 at ESI-PGIMSR, ESI-Hospital, Pare], Mumbai).

MD (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases/ Pulmonary Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of batches/ students admitted upto 2017-18 at ESI-PGIMSR ESI-Hospital Parel, Mumbai].

MS (Orthopaedics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of batches/ students admitted upto 2017-18 at ESI-PGIMSR, ESI-Hospital, Parel, Mumbai).

"Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesiology)" MD (Anesthesiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of batches/ students admitted upto 2017-18 at ESI-PGIMSR, ESI-Hospital, Parel, Mumbai)

against "Nagpur University/ Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik", under the heading Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) 1, after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics)" MS (Orthopaedics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Nagpur University/Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Indira Gandhi Govt. Medical College, Nagpur on or after 2012).

against "Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh", under the heading Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2)1, after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

DPM (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in respect of students being trained at Dr. Pinnammaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation, Chinnaoutpalli on or after 2016

MD (Anesthesia) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in respect of students being trained at Dr. Pinnammaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation, Chinnaoutpalli on or after 2012

"Diploma in Anesthesia" DA (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in respect of students being trained at Dr. Pinnammaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation, Chinnaoutpalli on or after 2012

"Doctor of Medicine (Dermatology & Venereology MD(DVL) and leprosy)" (This shall be a recognized medical

qualification when granted by Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in respect of students being trained at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa on or after 2016

XIII) against "Pondicherry University, Puducherry", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:-

"Doctor of Medicine (Pathology)" MD (Pathology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Pondicherry University, Puducherry in respect of students being trained at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital, Pondicherry on or after 2014).

Note*:

The recognition so granted shall be for a maximum period of 5 years from the date of notification, upon which it shall have to be renewed. The procedure for 'Renewal' of recognition shall be same as applicable for the award for recognition. Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admissions to the concerned Postgraduate Courses.

*Not applicable in respect of MS (General Surgery), MD (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases/ Pulmonary Medicine), MS (Orthopaedics) and MD (Anesthesiology) at ESI-PGIMSR, ESI-Hospital, Pare!, Mumbai under Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
