that youths should belong

Ten year old boys joined the

Pimpfen or German Young

People. At the age of fourteen

they would transfer to the

Hitler Youth (HJ).

Girls joined the League of

Young Girls at the age of ten

and transferred to the League

of German Maidens (BDM) at

the age of fourteen.

Both boys and girls left the

youth organisations when

eighteen.
